1 Solid-sae Muli-funcional Timer DIN Track Mouned, Sandard 17.5-mm Widh Timer Range A wide AC/DC power supply range (24 o 230 VAC/ 24 o 48 VDC) reduces he number of imer models kep in sock. Eigh operaing modes (-M) and four operaing modes (-S) cover a wide range of applicaions. A wide ime seing range of 0.10 s o 120 h. Two LEDs indicae power and relay saus respecively. Smar Dial/Selecor-locking Mechanism: Prevens he dials and selecors on he Timer s fron panel from being inadverenly operaed or being operaed wihou auhorizaion. The lock can only be unlocked and locked wih an opional pen-ype Lock Key. Screwless spring erminal ype available. Sicker provided for easy imer idenificaion and managemen. Terminal clamp lef open when delivered (screw erminal ype). Finger proecion erminal block o mee VDE0106/P100. Basic Operaion Seing of Selecor The selecors can be urned clockwise and counerclockwise o selec he desired ime scale, or operaing mode. Each selecor has a snap mechanism ha secures he selecor a a given posiion. Se he selecor a a posiion a which i is secured. Selecion of Time Scale The ime scale is seleced by urning he ime scale selecor. The ime scales will appear in he following order in he ime scale display window on he lef of he selecor: 1 s, 0.1 s, 1 h, 0.1 h, 10 h, 1 h, 1 m, 0.1 m. Noe: The ime scale 1h appears wice. Boh insances indicae exacly he same ime scale. Oupus are urned ON according o designaed oupu mode when prese value is reached. Locking/Unlocking of Selecors and Time Seing Dial The ime seing dial, ime scale selecor, and operaing mode selecor can be locked using he Y92S-38 Lock Key, a special pen ype ool ha is sold separaely. To lock he dial or selecors, inser he Lock Key in he keyhole o he lower righ of he dial or selecor and urn i clockwise unil he dial or selecor is compleely covered wih he red cover. 12 Precauions Changing of Seing NOTICE: Do no change he ime scale or operaing mode, while he Timer is in operaion or malfuncion could resul. Supplies The Series is provided wih a ransformerless power supply sysem. An elecric shock may be received if he inpu erminal or he oupu ype selecor swich is ouched while power is being supplied. Use he bar erminal for wiring he. Using a sranded-wire erminal may cause a shor-circui due o a sray wire enering ino he Timer. Boh AC and DC power supplies can be conneced o he power inpu erminals wihou regarding polariy. Wih he only, a DC power supply mus be conneced o he power inpu erminals as designaed according o he polariy of he erminals. A DC power supply can be conneced if is ripple facor is 20% or less and he mean volage is wihin he raed operaing volage range of he Timer. Make sure ha he volage is applied wihin he specified range, oherwise he inernal elemens of he Timer may be damaged. Connec he power supply volage hrough a relay or swich in such a way ha he volage reaches a fixed value a once or he Timer may no be rese or a imer error could resul. For he power supply of an inpu device of he -ML, use an isolaing ransformer, of which he primary and secondary windings are muually isolaed and he secondary winding is no grounded. Inpu Wires The inpu wires mus be as shor as possible. If he floaing capaciy of wires exceeds 2,000 pf (approx. 17 m for cables wih 120 pf/m), he operaion will be affeced. Pay paricular aenion when using shielded cables. Precauions for EN Conformance The as a buil-in imer conforms o EN provided ha he following condiions are saisfied: The oupu secion of he is provided only wih basic isolaion. To ensure reinforced isolaion required by he EN , provide supplemenary basic isolaion on he load side conneced o he oupu.
