5 Fuctioal ecriptio The PT8A2611 ad PT8A2621 are CMOS LSI chip deiged for automatic PIR lamp cotrol. They ca operate i 2-wire cofiguratio for triac applicatio or i 3-wire cofiguratio for relay applicatio. The PIR eor detect ifrared power variatio caued by motio of a huma body ad trafer to a voltage variatio. If the PIR output voltage variatio coform to criteria, the lamp i tured o for a adjutable duratio. The PT8A2611 (or 2621) offer three operatig mode (ON, AUTO, OFF) which ca be et through a MOE pi. Whe the device i workig i AUTO mode, the uer ca override the mode to witch it to TEST mode or maual ON mode, or retur to the AUTO mode by witchig power witch. Figure 1. Override Cotrol (for PT8A2621 oly): The term override refer to the chage of operatig mode by witchig the power witch twice withi 3 ecod. Whe the chip i workig i the AUTO mode (MOE pi opeed), the output i activated by a valid PIR trigger igal ad the output active duratio i cotrolled by the OSC ocillatio period. The lamp ca be witched to ON from the AUTO mode by either witchig the MOE pi to or witchig the power witch twice withi 3 ecod. Table 2. Operatio Mode by MOE Pi The device ca be toggled from ON to AUTO by witchig the power witch twice withi 3 ecod agai (override operatio). If the chip i overridde to ON ad there i o further override operatio, it will retur to AUTO automatically after a iteral preet ON time duratio (8 hour). Note:Flah i oly for the TRIAC Rev. 7 Power O Iitial The PIR igal amplifier require a warm up period after powero. The iput hould be diabled durig thi period. I the AUTO mode withi the firt 40 ecod of the iitial time the chip allow override cotrol to eter the quickly itall mode, After 40 of the iitial time the chip allow override cotrol betwee ON ad AUTO.
