N lnger is it sufficient t knw just the band edges. The amateur wh plans any mbility arund the varius bands had best equip himself with either an Extra Class license r the charts n the fllwing pages. N Even with an Extra Class license, he may still find the charts useful as a guide t where his friends went. Charts 1 and 2 cver all amateur frequency assignments up t 450 MHz, with the exceptin f the 1.8 t 2.0 MHz allcatin. The 160 -meter band is divided int eight "sub -bands," and peratin in each f the 50 states and U. S. pssessins is limited t a few f these. Maximum DC plate input pwer varies frm day t night. Al and A3 emissins are authrized, and there are n privileged segments. Because the regulatins cvering "tp band" are subject t change withut hearing (whenever the Cmmissin shall determine such actin necessary in view f the pririty f the LORAN -A radinavigatin system), it is suggested that interested amateurs cnsult the nearest FCC District Office fr details gverning their particular area. Because f their limited scpe, Nvice Class privileges are nt shwn. They are as fllws: raditelegraph (Al) peratin nly, 3.7 t 3.75 MHz; 7.15 t 7.2 MHz; 21.1 t MHz; and t MHz - using all authrized raditelegraph emissins. Technician Class licensees may use all emissins authrized between 50.1 and 54.0 MHz and between and MHz, as well as all amateur frequencies and emissins authrized abve MHz. Emissin Limitatins Type AO emissin may be used fr shrt perids f time, even where nt specifically designated, fr test and ther experimental purpses. On frequencies belw 29.0 MHz and between 50.1 and 52.5 MHz, the bandwidth f an F3 emissin may nt exceed that f an A3 emissin having the same audi characteristics by RCA Crpratin.
