1 Tuesday, July 26, 2016 Dear Quilters, I heard on the news this morning that 6 months ago yesterday, we had our 30" of snow - oh if only!! I guess rather than look backwards, we should look forward. Come on Fall! Speaking of Fall, we are diligently working on our calendar for some new Fall classes so check back shortly and we will have them posted. Our 2016 Row by Row Experience Winners: Kathleen and Tom Wood! 1

Make sure you bring your machine to class! Instructor: Ron Sisto, Date: Friday August 19th, 2016 from 10:30-12:30, Fee: $25.00 Hand Piecing- Give It A Try If you know how to hand-piece, you can take your quilt projects with you wherever you go! Linda will show you how to mark and stitch your blocks. You will go home with a completed block called "Momma's Memories". Instructor: Linda Beavers, Date: Thursday September 29th, 2016 from 10:30-12:30 or 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Fee: $35 including kit. 3

4 Mastering Miniatures Dottie will take away any fears you may have when working with Miniatures and you will learn the importance of accurate sewing and seams, and have some fun while you learn. Instructor: Dottie Raab, Date: 2 sessions on Wednesday, Sept. 7th and 21st from 10:30-12:30pm. Introduction to Paper Piecing Jackie will get you started on this accurate way to piece. Instructor: Jackie Bingham, Date: Firday, Sept. 16th from 10:30-2:30pm. 4

5 Our dear friend Mimi Dietrich has given permission for us to use her Baltimore Basics Book in order to teach a Machine Embroidery BOM. In the morning, Ollie will instruct you on the correct way to digitize one of the quilt blocks. The afternoon will be spent stitching the blocks out. This BOM class will begin in February, The class will be on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30-4:00pm Sign-ups will be open in the next month. After a summer break, Ollie's PEP (Patches Embroidery Program) will begin again in September. It is the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:30pm. The first class will be Sept 20th. Also, Mimi's Baltimore Album BOM will be offered again starting in January on the 3rd Saturday of the month. It is 12 sessions from 10:00-12:30pm. The orientation for this class will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19th from 1:30-3:30pm. We are acepting sign-ups now, so please call us and we will get you into this popular class! Birthday Bonus Just a reminder to everyone that as a thank-you on your birthday month, Patches offers 2 free fat quarters of your choosing, so remember to let us know at the register when it is your birthday! Quilters' Quest 2016: The Patches Adventure Bus is gearing up for the Quilters Quest 2016 road trip. Come along and join Jackie II, our bus coordinator, for fun and games in route to 10 quilt shops. She is looking forward to a fun filled shop hop. Sit back and relax and leave the driving to someone else. Lunch will be provided along with snacks and water. Our bus will be limited to 30 customers so make sure you sign up as soon as possible! When: Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 Cost: Both days = $150, One day = $90 (Lunch will be provided along with snacks and water) Bring your own coffee in the morning!
