As far as I am concerned even though 'even though I am not totally recovered from my shoulder replacement surgery, I can spend a little bit of time in the store and I am hoping to come back full time maybe middle of September. I want to thank everybody who sent me flowers, cards and/or enquired about me. All your good wishes really touched me. I have to thank my staff, specially Margaret, who took over when Wendy, Gabriele and I were out of commission. What a great team I have. Thank you so very much everybody. 5 Bernina Sewing Centre News Here at The Running Stitch we have always been extremely impressed with the In-The-Hoop embroidery capabilities of many of the Berninas. As a premier quilt store, we have focused on doing In-The-Hoop quilt projects with the embroidery machines. Now, we are very excited to announce a new service to offer all our embroidery customers. Through our website, you can now view a full catalogue of embroidery designs from single motifs right up to full collections. There are many sites over the Internet where you can purchase designs. Some better than others and many that solicit stores like The Running Stitch. When choosing a site to offer our customers we were looking for good quality designs and some security over the designs that you purchase. Many times on these online sites once you purchase and download the design in your chosen format that is it. If your computer crashes or you lose the design, you have no recourse. You will have to order it again. On the Embroidery Design Studio website, available through The Running Stitch, each design you purchase and download comes in all formats, no need to guess it you have chosen the right one. Each design you purchase stays in your account and you can download multiple times. Sound awesome, yes it is. Here is how you can take advantage of this service and what Embroidery Design Studio has to offer. First, go to The Running Stitch website and on the home page select the Embroidery Design Studio link. Once you arrive at the Embroidery Design Studio website you will see a page that looks like the picture below. Notice The Running Stitch logo in the upper left corner. This will ensure that you are in the right place.

6 Once you arrive you will be required to create an account. Select the Customer Login link in the upper right hand corner. The next page will include a link to sign up as a new customer. The next pages will prompt you for your address and password to set up your account. You will be asked some other information to verify who you are and to be used for identification. Nothing scary or out of the ordinary. Once your account is set up you can login and view the designs (including some free ones to get you started). When you are logged into your account the options in the upper right corner will change and you should see your name displayed there. The tool bar at the top of the page will bring you different areas of the Embroidery Design Studio Website so that you can look at designs by category, technique or what is on special. The Tips and Projects links bring you to a blog site with all kinds of information. Designs that you click on for a better look and description will appear in the on the left of the window. When you click on a design that you like you can decide to add it to your shopping cart, or put it in your Wishlist for future consideration. When you purchase a design or a collection it will appear in your account. Select the View Account link in the upper right hand corner under your name and you will see all the design you have available for download. You can Download the designs from your

10 Class and Block of the Month Policy The class policy here at The Running Stitch has always been implied, however, not written out and posted. Unfortunately, due to recent circumstances, we feel that it would be better understood and less confusing if we posted them. When classes are scheduled many steps have to be taken for it to be a success. Supplies must be ordered, instructors are booked, classroom time is reserved and additional floor staff may be required. Specialty products and templates may need more lead time than others to arrive in the store. When we confirm a class it is based on a minimum enrollment and the items listed above are ordered and/or scheduled to ensure a success. When we have cancellations, it creates a negative chain reaction to a number of items. Pre-registration is required and reservations will not be held without payment in full. Coupons and loyalty credits cannot be applied to class fees (unless stated directly on the coupon). Registration can be made over the phone with a credit card, in person, or on our website. Once a class is confirmed it is not refundable. All monthly series classes (such as Baltimore Album and Bernina Academy) will be payable in three month installments and are not refundable. Block of the Month programs have limited spaces available and registration must be accompanied by a credit card number that we can bill for your monthly kit. Block of the Month class instruction evenings are not mandatory and will have the same policies as any other class (such as pre-registration and non refundable). In some classes, kits are available or supplies are included. Others will require you to choose your supplies prior to class. If you need help working out color selections, etc, we will be happy to assist you. It is a good idea to allow approximately 40 minutes before class if you need to select material. Please have all materials ready at the scheduled class time, as the class will begin on time. For the comfort of others, please refrain from wearing perfume to class. Offering classes is an absolute pleasure for us. We really enjoy the interaction between the students and the instructors. We also enjoy bringing as many of the latest techniques, patterns and tools as we can find. We look forward to continue offering many classes for years to come.
