2 2018 Fall classes and Events! to register Join HUSQVARNA ambassador and educator Emily Baker for a fun exploration of the HUSQVARNA Epic sewing, quilting and embroidery machines! Two hands on sessions available; morning session will focus on the amazing features that are offered in the HUSQVARNA Epic 980Q sewing and quilting machine. Afternoon session is the same hands on project, now our attention will turn to the HUSQVARNA Epic sewing, quilting and embroidery machine. Whatever your needs or wants this machine offers it all! Class includes all supplies for your project. $20 fee due at registration, day of class this fee will be given to you as in store credit!

Saturday Quilting Drop in- Natasha A little time to quilt! Join us for an informal drop in session where you can work on completing your projects. Please choose from morning or afternoon session (not both) to allow for everyone who would like to participate. $5 machine rental available. In this very in depth hands on class you will learn correct cutting techniques, accurate seam allowance, correct pressing and accurate measuring. 4 5. One Block Wonder- Natasha Try this great technique made popular by Gypsy Dream Quilter and be amazed! Using 7 panels create stunning spinning kaleidoscopes! Pop Up Basket- Natasha Using a fat quarter and an internal spring create your very own portable scrap container or lint catcher, clothes peg holder or toy storage catcher! 1 session $25+ materials Fri. Log Cabin Tablerunner- Natasha Log Cabin is one of the most versatile blocks! If you would like to expand your quilting knowledge and make a really beautiful tablerunner, join me for this class! 5 9. Foundation Paper Piecing- Natasha Interested in learning to foundation paper piecing? Are you a little afraid to make the jump? Let me make it easy for you! Paper piecing is a great technique and once you have the hang of it you will be on your way. 1 session $30+ materials Fri. Nov. 2 9:30am -12:30pm 11. Through the Window Quilt- Natasha Using a panel create this very quick and easy quilt or wallhanging. With the beautiful panels available now this pattern is a great project to feature your panel. 1 session $40 + materials Fri. Oct. 26 9:30am-3pm 10. Around The Block Quilt Block- Natasha This is a great block to use when you would like to fussy cut or use a feature fabric and really show it off! With a large finished block size you will get a great size quilt in no time at all. Christmas Advent Calendar- Natasha We have one of the largest selections of Advent Calendars! Let me help you get it made with all my hints and tricks! 1 session $40+ materials Sat. Nov. 24 9:30am-1pm 13. Christmas Stocking- Natasha Carry on the Christmas theme and make a Christmas stocking to match your Advent Calendar. Many panels are coordinated to work together! 6 14. Free Motion Skillbuilder- Pauline Following the Skill Builder panel and learn to free motion quilt in a step by step progression. We will guide you through proper machine setup and show some helpful tips for success. 1 session $ materials Wed. Nov. 14 9:30am-1:30pm 17. Athletic Pants and Vest- Pauline Join Pauline for a great class using stretch active fabric. In class you will make one pair of Athletic pants, similar to a legging and an athletic zippered vest. Covered in class will be stretch stitches on the sewing machine, differential feed on the serger and the difference between stretch, jersey and ballpoint needles, when and where to use them. 1 session $65 + materials Wed. Oct. 18 9:30am-5pm 15. Serger Basics- Pauline There is so much that Serger can do! Would you like to explore all the amazing capabilities? In this class we will create a workbook that shows all the stitches and finishes that you can do and all the settings needed to create a perfect stitch. Retreat Bag- Pauline A great project to bring all your notions to class or as the name suggests to a retreat! Wire frame inserts give this bag great structure. A really fun pattern! 1 session $45 + materials Sun. Nov Easy Unlined Cardigan- Pauline Unlined jackets with no closure, have front princess seams, faced pockets, with lapped and conventional seams. All outside edges are raw, finished with straight or decorative topstitching. 1 session $ materials Wed. Nov.7 9:30am-5pm

7 19. The Purse Clasp Bag- Pauline This fun new book features a great selection of little coin purses and small bags. The book comes with two of the clasp closures; we will let you decide between The Puffy Pouch or The Mod Coin Purse pattern to make in class. 1 session $ materials Sun. Oct Knit Top- Pauline Close-fitting, pullover tops have scoop neckline with neck binding and stitched hems. A: Patch pocket. B: Cold shoulder sleeve. In class you will be using stretch stitches on the sewing machine and differential feed 1 session $ materials Mon. Nov. 19 9:30am-3:30pm 22. Drop In Sewing- Pauline Do you need a little extra help with a sewing pattern? Not sure how to do a certain technique? Oct. 29 9:30am-1:00pm Mon. Nov. 26 9:30am-1:00pm 23. Amish Block Party- Mavis Reynolds My husband encouraged me to do a 3D quilt so I played around with hexagons and then strip sets and VOILA! I came upon this design. I love hexagons and they are very popular right now. If you want to challenge yourself to grow in skills this is a great pattern to do it. Y-seams can be tricky but this quilt is so graphic that you will be very proud of yourself when it s done! 2 sessions $70+ materials Sun. Beginner s Sewing- Bonnie In this relaxed atmosphere sewing class, Bonnie will assist you in sewing your choice of projects. Have no sewing experience? 9 Teens/Kids Sewing Programs and Classes Ages Kids Sewing Program- Bernadine An all NEW kids sewing program focusing on the fundamentals and incorporating skill building with sewn projects. Each child will go home with a binder of the skills learned and a sample of the technique. Then progress to projects. This will be an ongoing series; each session will be 4 weeks. With each additional session, the student will continue building and nurturing previous skills. The series must be done in order to achieve the best results. Each session $ kit Session 1- Mon. Kids Christmas Stocking- Bernadine Choose from one of our Christmas stocking panels to make a one of a kind, unique stocking! Beginners Sewing For Teens & Young Adults- Bonnie This class is geared for teens/ young adults ages Build your sewing skills while making creative clothing in your unique choices of colour and fabric types. Halloween Loot Bag- Bernadine Using a panel to make this fun Halloween Loot bag or book bag! This is a fun class for ages 8-13, preferably with some sewing experience. 1 session $25 + kit Mon. Oct pm 30. Holiday Fun Fabric Pillowcase- Bernadine Pillowcases are one of our favorite items to make for any season or holiday! Make it for yourself or for a gift! Fun Sew For Kids- Bonnie This is a hands on relaxed setting class kids ages 8-13 will learn to sew using sewing machines and sergers. Starting with a pair of PJ bottoms and building the skills from there. 4 sessions $85 + Materials Tues. Oct. 23, 30, Nov. 6 & pm

10 Registration Policies - Class fee due at time of registration. This holds your seat. - No student cancellations seven days prior to class. No refunds after this point in time. - If minimum registration of 4 people is not meet The Cloth Castle can cancel class 3 days before scheduled date. A full refund will be issued. - If a class is cancelled by the instructor or The Cloth Castle full refund will be issued. - 20% discount on all regular priced fabric and tools required for class. - Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start of class. - Please refrain from wearing perfume. - Special events and Special guest no refunds. - Due to copyright rules and regulations, photocopies of patterns will NOT be accepted in any classes. Each person attending is required to purchase their own copy. - Mark your tools. Lost or stolen items are not the responsibility of the instructor or The Cloth Castle. - Sewing machine and sergers must be in running order. Knowledge of your machine is required for all classes. Private machine lessons can be arranged. - Most classes offer the use of classroom sewing machine. Some classes will require the rental of a machine. Rental fee is $5.00 per class. Please bring your own thread. - Class supply lists will be ed or picked up in store. - In order to continue offering great classes please purchase your supplies at The Cloth Castle. - Please respect our teachers, notes given in class are for your use only.
