Our annual pot-luck celebration is coming up on December 6, Please note this meeting will start at 6:30 pm. I m sure our Program s Committee has lots of surprises for us! This is a great time for fellowship and sharing good food. As always, guests are welcome, so bring a friend! At this Thanksgiving season I want to give thanks for this year s Executive Board. The committee chairs are doing an excellent job, making sure that things are running smoothly and working diligently to make our guild not only good, but great. We are a united group with the same purpose. You make my job easy and I am blessed to count you as friends. Also, I am grateful for our members. With your continued support, this guild will do great things. During this busy season, I hope you find time to share with friends and family, time to give to charity and time to sit in your sewing space, look around you and be thankful. 2 Message from the Membership Committee If you have not picked up your membership card, raffle ticket packet and gift as yet, they will be available at each meeting when you sign in. Thanks. Bev Valle and Mary Kendall Hope you are all looking forward to our holiday meeting. Here s what to bring: Food for our pot luck ( side dishes, salads, main dishes, desserts) please bring serving utensils and label clearly what your dish is ( example: chicken salad contains nuts etc) Your button swap item in a brown bag ( securely closed). We will have a table up front for you to place your bag when you arrive. We will provide paper products, silverware and beverages. Holiday show and tell encouraged. Come enjoy a festive fun filled evening. Charity Donations at Holiday Party Please remember to bring your donations for our holiday charity. We will be helping various homeless shelters with your donations of hats, gloves, mittens, scarves or socks. For male or female, children and adults. Homemade or store bought. Boxes will be in the hallway for you to drop off when you arrive. 3 I can t be- lieve our Christmas party is already here! Wow wasn t it just summer? Look for more info in this newsletter from our Chairperson, Gail Wozniak, and she ll give you all the party details for the potluck, charitable donation, gift swap, etc. It should be a great time!!!! REMEMBER that the evening events start at 6:30! Our next meeting in January is Journeys an opportunity for 3 of our members to do a short trunk show of their quilting journey. This is always a favorite program and a great way to learn more about one of your fellow members. You won t want to miss these three wonderful ladies. There will be no workshop in January! February brings us the UFO auction lots of great deals and a wonderful way to build your stash or just add more to your sewing room because you can! This is always such a fun meeting with great items for sale. Bring your wallet and come have some fun. Our February workshop is taught by our own Carrie Zizza. Learn how to do some machine quilting and get started on all those tops you have piling up. Stop by and sign up at the Workshop table and see our other great programs for the rest of the year. Also a big thank you to Sue Pelland who taught our October workshop. It was fabulous and we hope we see some of those beautiful quilts soon! Sue stayed until 5:30 (class ended at 3:30) to make sure every student had their top completely laid out properly and fused down. She was amazing and a fun, talented teacher. Thank you Sue. Thanks for all your support. Hope you re having fun with the programs and workshops so far! Ronni, Chairperson We say a sad Good-bye to Mary Wilkes, who is moving back to Michigan in January. She has contributed so much to this guild with her enthusiasm and hearty laugh! She will be missed. BUT- she will return to head the Show in September with Ann and Winoneh!

4 UFO Auction Stacy has found a place to store items until February and will take donations until the auction date. She will not be able to attend the December meeting. If members, or others want to donate, they can contact her and she will pick up at their home. 6 Sew and Know Sew and Know meets before the general meetings. It s a 15 minute member presentation of tips and tricks for techniques of all kinds. It s held at 6:20 and 6:40. Sew and Know is need of your suggestions. What would you like to see? I m also looking for volunteers to share their specialty, especially all those recent blue ribbon winners! Hudson, NH Lin Caido Red & White Raffle Quilt 2019/2020 Just a reminder to everyone to please return the red & white hexie flowers, finished and unfinished! We need them returned by the Dec. meeting, so we can move on to the next step. We will have some of the flowers ready for distribution to members who will hand applique them to a background square. 7 Many of you know that the Mancuso show will no longer come to Manchester. This was one of our biggest venues for the raffle quilt. We still have MQX thank heaven, and Connections is struggling to establish itself. Judy Naylor and Betty Hastings are searching for other events that would allow us to display our beautiful raffle quilts. It does not need to be a quilting event. Amesbury Studio days and the 250 year celebration in Atkinson were very lucrative for us. Please keep an eye out in your town for a venue that might welcome us and allow us to get the raffle quilt seen. If you have an idea please get in touch with either Betty or Judy.
