1 Port City Basketmakers wishes to INVITE you to our 16th Annual Basketry Weave-In scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Scottish Rite Temple, 1415 South 17 th Street, Wilmington, N.C. from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We hope you ll be able to join us for a fun-filled day! Enclosed you will find a registration packet including a photo brochure and description of our basket offerings. Classes are planned so that you can complete your project in the allotted time and take home a wonderful basket or two! Send only the registration fee (payable to Port City Basketmakers) and a long SASE with your completed registration form. Postmarked by Jan. 4, Individual class fees will be due after you receive your class confirmation letter. We are pleased to offer baskets for all skill levels. You may select 4 basket choices in order of preference. We will strive to honor your priority selections if at all possible. If there's a question or concern, you'll be called. Be sure to bring standard basket making tools and a water bucket. If special equipment is needed, the brochure mentions those items. Light snacks and beverages will be available for you throughout the day courtesy of Port City Basketmakers. Lunch will also be provided from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm. A map with travel instructions will be sent to you with your class selection list. Also, a list of recommended hotels will be attached if you need overnight accommodations. This fun twill will be woven over a plastic vase. Learn the technique of Nantucket weaving and finishing.
