Where: Circle R Ranch, 3017 Carriage Rd., Delaware, just 8 km west of London When: Friday, November 10, Wool Appliqué workshop with Sande Gunning Saturday, November 11 shop and workshops (see below) Saturday social - you are welcome to bring your own project to work on, hook, spin, knit, share and shop. Bring a bag lunch. Feel free to bring your own lighting for working on your project ************************************************************************************************************************ Friday - Wool Appliqué Workshop with Sande Gunning 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. See next page for details Saturday Workshops A New Way to Make Socks with Judy Miller 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Learn the basics to make your own socks, using a colourful pre-knit hand cranked tube. All you need to knit in order to finish the sock is the toe, heel & ribbing. Please note: knitting experience required. Magic loop method or double pointed needles can be used. Required materials: Darning needle; Knitting needles - circular needle size 2.5 mm 100 cm long for magic loop method or set of 4 or 5 double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Cost: $ $25.00 material fee includes colourful pre-knit hand cranked coloured tube and accent yarn for toe, heel and rib. Food Colour Dyeing with Diny Warren 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dye/paint your own: knitted tube for socks, roving or wool fabric. Instructions will be supplied on how to finish your tube into a pair of socks or unravel and knit your favourite sock pattern. If you are not into knitting socks, dye wool roving or wool fabric. Just let us know what material we should prepare for you. Note for socks : to give a longer leg length, or add more interest to the socks; the toes, heels and cuffs can be knitted in contrasting colours. Janes Sheepish Things will have small balls of coloured sock yarn available at $6 per ball. Cost: $ material fee $15.00 includes your dye material.

2 Saturday - Make and Take - Needle Felting on Wool Flannel with Jane Van Arnhem A fun, simple technique to mount in a gift card or to fit into a small frame. One hour session: 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Cost: $10.00 includes your needle, fibre, wool flannel and gift card. Friday, November 10 - Wool Appliqué Workshop with Sande Gunning 10:00-4:00 As winter approaches; choose from one of two projects, a stocking for yourself (or loved one) or a bright and cheery mat to last you until Spring! Mat 12 inches round (approximately) Both of these projects are suitable for confident beginners but challenging enough for those who already have experience with wool appliqué. You should be familiar with stitching wool and basic embroidery techniques. Both lend themselves well to using up scraps from your wool stash and look gorgeous completed with hand dyed wool. Mat measures approximately 12 inches round and stocking measures 15 inches long. (bring your own lunch) Cost: $ $16.00 material fee includes ONE pattern, workshop handouts, needle kit and industrial freezer paper. You provide your own wool and threads. Upon registration, to complete your registration, you will contact Sande to receive a materials list and instructions for how to prepare your wool prior to the workshop.
