1 CUFF BRACELET Peggy Adelman 4 hours $ wide Beginner The student starts with a copper bracelet blank. The bracelet blank is covered with paper. The stakes and weaver are 1/8 strips of paper. Stakes are placed on the top side of the bracelet and are woven into patterns. Several weaving patterns are offered. Kit colors will vary. All paper is painted by the instructor. Special Tools: Bring scissors for cutting paper. Begin with a filled-in base, then each row in ¾ flat reed is woven and wrapped with ¼ flat reed at the same time. Pictured in medium green; other colors available. The students will do start/stop weaving and use their hands for shaping. They will add green dyed reed to create grass, and then make mini cattails and insert them. The basket is topped off with mini leather handles. A cute, fun and easy basket to weave up. LITTLE WIRED BUCKET Pam Feix *2 hours (***8:00 pm start time) $25 7 Diameter x 6 ¾ H Advanced Beginner This darling little basket is fun to weave. The basket begins on a wooden base, but it is woven over a wire basket that stays inside. Triple twining with a step-up, French Randing and start/stop weaving will all be done in class. A cute little offset bow will be added to embellish the basket. INDIAN CORN 4 hours $48 About 13 H x 3 Diameter, varies Advanced Beginner Weave your own Indian Corn, perfect for Fall decorating! You will receive enough materials for three ears of corn, and you should finish at least two during the class. A variety of space dyed reed will be available to choose from, and no two will be the same. Learn continuous weave while concentrating on shaping. Paper twist is added to resemble corn husks and a raffia bow ties it all together. An optional artificial flower can be added if desired. 2

4 LARGE NANTUCKET SWIRL Jan Beyma 8 hours $65 7 ¾ Diameter x 5 ¾ High Advanced Beginner Students will learn how to set up a Nantucket basket, and learn how to twill weave. You will use a cheater rim to finish off the basket. Basket is woven over a plastic class mold. Stakes and weavers will be cane. Base and cheater rim is cherry, and will be pre-finished. This is the second basket in a set of two nesting baskets. Tool kit will be provided for use in class. SPIRAL STORAGE BASKET Char Ciammaichella 8 hours $82 16 L x 12 W x 6 H Intermediate This storage basket is started by inserting natural and black spokes into a wood base. Techniques include 3 and 4 rod twining, a 3/3 twill weave and a unique rim and handle attachment. Students will decide to show more black reed or more natural when starting the twill. The copper accent is woven in after the basket is finished. FRIDAY 9:00-4:00 OCEAN WAVES (a.k.a. Triple Braids) 8 hours $84 8 W x 12 L x 5 ½ H (11 w/handle) Intermediate This pretty yet practical basket starts on a 6 x 10 racetrack base; secure spokes with Four-Rod Wale for a solid foundation. Rows of Triple Three-Rod Wale and Reverse Three-Rod Wale form the triple braid focal point in royal blue; color choices are available. Alternate braiding and Four-Rod Wale; finish with cable stitch border, dyed rim filler and Pati s new Triple-Triple Braid Handle Wrap. TRIPLE ARROWS CATHEAD 6 hours (9:00 am start time) $79 9 Diameter x 6 H (11 w/handle) Intermediate Weave a traditional cathead basket in flat, flat oval and round reed while learning hand and finger placement from start to finish. Emphasis is on creating this unique basket shape from the base to increasing and decreasing the rim opening. Weave double Three-Rod Arrows: Three-Rod Wale followed by reverse Three-Rod Wale, and learn how to change arrow direction; in navy and wine, with other color choices. Finish with double cross knots and an ash hand grip handle. 4

They will use paired twining, triple twining and start/stop weaving. Handles are added before rimming and lashing. A small rusty bow is added for embellishment. The twining takes on the look of Ric Rac that is used as an embellishment when sewing. FRIDAY 9:00-4:00 CONFETTI DOUBLE WALL BOWL 8 hours $78 12 Diameter, 6 H Intermediate This beautiful basket is a double wall bowl with the inside wall woven entirely with space dyed reed and outer wall woven with natural reed with a few accent rows of space dyed reed. Techniques include start/stop weaving, twining, chase weaving, triple twining and learning how to rim a double wall basket. This basket is woven on a class mold so shaping will be easy. Students will be able to choose from two color combinations. Special Tools: Bring quick curing glue, optional. DIAMONDS IN SMOKE 6 hours (9:00 am start time) $76 8 W x 12 L x 9 H Intermediate Students will insert spokes into a rectangular slotted wood base, twine, triple twine, add weaver overlays, add leather handles, and double lash the rim. Shaping will be emphasized. Weaving will be done with smoked and natural reed. Special Tools: Bring Quick Curing Glue along with the usual weaving tools. BEADED BREAD BASKET Gina Kieft 8 hours $48 13 Wide x 9 Long x 5 ½ High Intermediate Prepare to weave this oval base by lashing the spokes together then creating a beautiful spiral in your choice of color. Learn additional spoke insertion, triple twining, chase weaving and shaping while weaving the sides of the basket. Add wooden beads on the short sides of the basket for handles and a beautiful eye catching embellishment. Finish the basket with a braided track border. A variety of color choices will be offered. 5

7 SATURDAY 8:00-5:00 SATURDAY 9:00-4:00 YOUR ZIG ZAG DESIGN Char Ciammaichella 8 hours $68 14 L x 11 W x 6 H Intermediate This basket is started by inserting reed spokes into a wood base. Techniques taught will include 3 rod twining, reverse 3 rod twining. A certain number of rows will be woven and you will decide your own pattern to go along with the twining and reverse twining. You can set up as many zigs or zags as you would like in your basket! Several colors of round reed combinations will be available. SATURDAY 9:00-4:00 ALL A ROUND BASKET 6 hours (9:00 am start time) $84 9 Diameter x 7 H (15 w/handle) Intermediate A striking design of contrasting lines in navy blue, other colors are available. Begin with an 8 round oak base; Four-Rod Wale secures spokes, then start/stop weave in wide and narrow dyed and natural reed. Learn color placement, overlays and Triple Three-Rod Wale, for a round reed rope-like center focal point. Finish the round-notched handle with double braid handle wrap, other wrap choices offered. This medium sized basket pattern includes instructions for nesting set of three. SATURDAY 8:00-5:00 COUNTRY KETTLE Pam Feix 6 hours (9:00 am start time) $40 10 Diameter x 12 H Intermediate This basket is very popular! The basket starts on a footed, wooden base (designed by Feix Family Baskets). The student will insert spokes around the base, start/stop weave and work on shaping. Dan-dee handles (also designed by Feix Family Baskets) will be added. A rusty tin star will embellish the basket. Woven in natural, either smoked or dyed brown reed and burgundy. SAMPLER TOTE 8 hours $75 7 W x 14 L x 12 H Intermediate Students can learn new weaves or perfect techniques they already know while weaving this large tote basket. Techniques include triple twining, paired weaving, stacked weaving, triple twined arrow, 4-rod wale, and French Randing. Emphasis will be on shaping and encouragement will be given to students wanting to experiment with their own design. This tote will be topped off with sturdy leather handles. 8 SATURDAY 9:00-4:00 SATURDAY 8:00-5:00 CANE FIELDS (Double Wall) Gina Kieft 6 hours (9:00 am start time) $46 6 Wide x 3 ½ Long x 5 ½ High Intermediate Begin this small double wall basket in your choice of color to weave a geometrically pleasing twill base. Many color options will be available. Weave an inside wall with the dyed spokes working on weaving tension and spoke placement. Weave the outside wall concentrating on keeping the two walls together. Learn a peek-a-boo lattice embellishment with cane. Learn paired triple twining with step ups. A narrow notched handle is attached for carrying. A new rim lashing will be introduced to add to the cane embellishment. 9 SPIRAL ROPE CHAINMAILLE BRACELET Char Ciammaichella 4 hours $85 ¼ x 7 Advanced Beginner This is a fun, easy chain to weave. In this rope style weave, small sterling silver jump rings are interlocked in pairs in such a way that they form a delicate spiral twisting along the length of the bracelet. This weave is great as a bracelet or necklace. Students will weave the bracelet with all sterling silver jump rings. Nimble fingers are a must! WOVEN LIGHTHOUSE 4 hours $66 5 Diameter x 7 ½ H Intermediate Choose to weave in black and natural or red and natural round reed for a striking diagonal design in this Woven Lighthouse. Begin with a 4 round oak base and secure flat oval spokes with Four-Rod Wale. Continuous weave with Five-Rod Wale to create the outside spiral pattern and learn the easy formula for this technique. Finish the rim in dyed flat oval reed and round reed filler, lash with matching waxed linen and embellish with a shell. Great pencil or utensil holder, add glass for a vase. BAKED GOODIES Pam Feix 4 hours $40 15 ½ Diameter x 9 H Intermediate This basket begins on a wooden base with a handle attached. The student will insert dyed and natural spokes to create a pattern, do overlays, learn to do triple-twining with a step-up, start/stop weave, chase weave and handle wrapping. Plate is included. Woven with natural and dyed reed. FOUR SQUARE DIVIDED BASKET 4 hours $48 8 square, 5 H Advanced Beginner Students will weave a filled base, fit the divider inside the basket and weave start/stop rows up the sides. A few rows of color are added for interest. The divider remains permanently inside the basket. Color choices for the decorative rows will be offered on a first come, first served basis. 9
10 INDIAN SUMMER 4 hours $53 8 W x 11 L x 5 H Intermediate This versatile basket starts with an open weave base. Students will then alternate rows of start/stop weaving with space dyed reed with triple twining with natural reed as they weave up the sides. Leather handles are attached to the ends while rimming. The colors of the space dyed reed will be rust/brown/green/mustard. Bring a spoke weight along with the usual weaving tools. CHRISTINE Gina Kieft 4 hours $34 6 Diameter x 5 High Intermediate This beautiful basket starts with an interwoven round reed base. A variety of colors will be offered to weave with. Shaping will be highly stressed as you weave continuously up the sides of the basket. Learn a double paired arrow weave. Top the basket with a braided border using the round reed spokes. BASKET DIMENSIONS: Please read the basket dimensions carefully so you are not surprised by the (small or large) basket when you arrive to class! (Remember that most dimensions are estimates.)
