Classes provide great opportunities to learn jewelry making techniques and to meet other beaders! 2 Class discount Sign up for 2 classes and get $ off. Does not apply to: *Visiting Guest Artist classes *Classes with kit included *Value classes Must complete 2nd registration within 1 week of the first Class instructors - We have over 20 instructors! Some are employees, and most are long-time 1SBS customers with years of experience. Class techniques - Our classes cover a broad spectrum of jewelry making techniques including: Bead Stringing, Pearl Knotting :, Right-Angle Weave; Herringbone, and more Kumihimo Glass Fusing Polymer Clay Macrame and Micro-Macrame Wire Wrapping and Weaving Metal Working And more. Class samples - Instructors provide samples for their classes and are on display in the store. Pictures are posted with class descriptions are posted on our website. Class policies and reminders You can register for classes in person, by phone, and on our website. If you are unable to attend, you may receive written instructions or send someone in your place. Classes typically require a minimum of three students. If a class is cancelled, the you will be given class credit which may be applied to a future class. 1SBS may cancel a class due to inclement weather or for other unforeseen reasons. If we cancel a class, then you receive a class credit or a refund. Bring your own tools, if you have them. Tools are available to share during class. Class kits are available the day of class. Kit colors and materials may vary from the sample. Class supplies - Materials are not included in the class fee unless otherwise noted. We offer class kits that include what you need to complete one class project. You may also purchase materials for class at a 20% discount. Some classes require your to purchase simple tools and materials for pre-class work. We understand that our scheduled class may not work with your busy schedule, so we offer one-on-one Classes On De- Classes On Demand Learn the fundamental skills of jewelry making with a Class On Demand. Our fee is $25 per hour per person and may be scheduled at your convenience. Green Goddess Class Fee: $35 Materials List Wednesday, September 12 Twin beads in a herringbone rope with or without a focal bead. Simple Spiral Stitch Class Fee: $30 Kit: $-$12 Monday, September 17 This fun and easy bracelet works up quickly from size 6 and 8 seed beads, and includes crystal bicones for a touch of sparkle. Fused Glass Wind Chimes Denise Novak Class Fee: $85 (All materials included.) Glass Fusing Tuesdays, September 18 & 25 Fall is coming! Enjoy the melodious tinkling of your very own chimes! Prior fused glass experience is not necessary, but will be helpful. This will be a two -part class.* In the first session, participants will create the top portion to which the glass chimes will be attached as well as the individual chimes which will be glued to connectors. These individual pieces will then be fused and brought to the second class for construction into wind chimes. Students will the difference between opalescent and translucent glass and how that affects the final outcome of the project. In addition, glass cutting will be demonstrated. Samples will be provided to illustrate the difference. Cubes & Triangles Herringbone Thursday, September 20 Deceptively complicated look in flat Herringbone/Ndebele; however, it is really easy to stitch and works up quickly. SEPTEMBER 2 3 MEMORIAL DAY! We ll use a foam square to create this fun piece. Prior kumi experience required. No pre-class work. We will use basic flat peyote to make beaded beads and then make them into a delicate and pretty necklace. This technique transfers nicely to the new Carrier Beads. Dragonback Class Fee: $45 Kit: $TBD Tuesday, October 6:00-8:00 Using a square stitch and simple stringing techniques you can make attractive candy for your wrist. Get decked out for Halloween! Shapeshifter Pendant Class Fee: $45 Kit: Wednesday, October I chose a neutral colorway, but this necklace would be gorgeous in vibrant colors! Monday, October 22 Advance your chain-making skills while weaving your beautiful bracelet! Make this attractive bracelet for a man or a woman. Braid it on a Kumihimo disk, no beads.
