Everything else is for your reference. See program rules below: 1. Registration forms & payment may be mailed or returned in person to the Randolph County Cooperative Extension Office. Checks should be made payable to Randolph ECA. The mailing & street address is: Randolph County Cooperative Extension 112 W. Walker Avenue Asheboro, NC Students are registered on a first come/first serve basis. Class size is limited. 3. No registration forms will be accepted without FULL payment. There are NO refunds issued after October 24th, however name substitutions will be accepted. If you are unable to attend, payment will be considered a donation to the Randolph County ECA program. Call the extension office at to make name substitutions. 4. Classes are scheduled at various locations including the Preppy Possum Paint Studio (830 S. Cox St, Asheboro), the Cooperative Extension Office (112 W. Walker Avenue), and the Randolph-Asheboro YMCA (343 Hwy 42). Participants should use the front entrance of the YMCA. At the front desk, ask directions to reach the Crafty Christmas classroom. 5. Samples of each craft will be on display at the Extension Office beginning October 3rd. 3 Class Descriptions Locker Hooking Coasters - Using strips of fabric and a large-count canvas you can make rugs, ornaments, trivets, and much more. You are limited only by the fabrics available. This is a great way to reduce your stash of scrap fabric while creating one-of-a-kind gifts. A "locker hook" is needed to do the hooking and stitching necessary to create the loops. The cost of this class includes the necessary "hook." This class is led by Jackie Massie of Fresh Salon. Preppy Possum Cabin - "The Preppy Possum" is Asheboro s premier paint and sip studio. Owners Nikki-Cherry and Andy Crofoot have years of experience leading students in step by step instructions. No prior painting experience is required. You may just become hooked on these fun classes. Art Journaling "Art journaling" is about the creative process of pulling together color, words, and images that you like on a page and/or cover. The actual journal can be a record of your daily thoughts, a travel log, an exercise log, or anything that you'd like to keep in a notebook. This class is led by Kaitlyn Broome who studied Graphic Design at Randolph Community College. She enjoys making jewelry and art journals and sells her work at local craft fairs. Crochet Scrubby & Catnip Mouse - You may never buy another scouring pad after you learn to make these "scrubbies." Pets like gifts too and the Catnip Mouse is just as fun, frugal, and practical. You must be able to crochet to take this class. Please come prepared with your own size G or H needle. This class is taught by Peggy Rogers who sells many of her craft items at local Asheboro businesses. Pumpkin Seed Poinsettia Pin & Bean Nativity - These 2 charming crafts are so fun to make! They are low cost, creative, and adorable items to give to all those whom you want to remember in a special way. This class is taught by Randolph County Extension agent Jeannie Leonard. Happy Holiday Signs - One piece of wood, a little paint, and in the end you have 2 adorable signs. One side can be displayed all year...and then in December, just flip the sign around. This class is led by Joyce Bass who specializes in sign art. Quilted Christmas Ornament - Sure to be a treasure for years to come, this geometric gem would make a welcome addition to any tree. Instructor Sherry Harrell, a retired high school math teacher, is a very experienced quilter. She is a member of Family Focus Extension Club. Seaside Christmas - This class presents ideas for how to convert a simple shell to a treasured piece of holiday decor. Each participant will make 1 large shell piece and 1 small shell piece. This class is led by retired teacher Nan Craven.

4 Lighted Burlap Garland- Made with strips of 3 colored burlap, this festive garland would be perfect to adorn your mantle or serving buffet for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and any other fall-winter celebrations. Instructor Janet Gartner is a member of the Family Focus ECA club. Hats Off Snowman - This class is led by the "the Queen of Crafting" - Mrs Margie Stidham. This adorable snowman is made from an inverted wine glass. Even if you are not an artist, she will lead you in painting his sweet face. Italian Holiday Pizzelles - Pizzelles, the holiday cookies beloved of Italian immigrants and their descendants, are thin and crisp with a subtle anise or almond flavor. This class is led by Janet Gartner and Becky Glasgow, who have been making pizzelle cookies together for years. Inspiration from the Winter Garden - This workshop covers winter blooming plants, local holiday events that are free or low cost, and more. If you are looking for a fun craft to do with grandchildren, you will love these birdseed ornaments. This class is led by retired French teacher Kim Lemons, who completed the Extension Master Gardener Class in Hearty Holiday Appetizers - Prepare for the holidays with new appetizer recipes and ideas that will leave your guests talking for weeks about your delicious and tasty treats. Randolph County FCS agent Jeannie Leonard will also discuss food safety practices for the holiday season. All participants will get to sample recipes, leave with copies of the recipes and much, much more! Beginning Sewing Jewelry Pouch - Before you go on your next vacation adventure, learn how to make a travel case that will actually keep your small accessories safe and free of tangles. This class is taught by Faye Greene, retired Family & Consumer Science Teacher. Outdoor Wire Tree Ornaments - Put an artistic spin on your yard with these illuminated spheres made from chicken wire. Even if you do not have large trees, these unique lighted ball ornaments, can complement any exterior decorations. This class is led by Mary Ann Church, retired Family & Consumer Science Teacher. NC Burlap Garden Flag - A garden flag is like a greeting card for your home. The flag features a silhouette of NC along with a decorative border ( there will be several borders to choose from.) The flag can be made with or without the bow. This class is taught by Aimee Pippin and Danielle McSwain, who sell a variety of burlap flags at local antique & consignment stores.
