OR Discover how easy it is to get started quilting or to refresh your basic skills. Learn about safe rotary cutting, sewing an accurate quarter inch seam, basic quilt construction and much more as you make a lovely lap quilt. A sewing machine in good working order is required; nothing fancy,just needs to sew a straight stitch. You will also need a rotary cutter, 6 x 24 inch ruler and cutting mat for this class. These items will be available at a discount in the shop for participants in the intro class. 2 Class: Introduction to Creating Rope Bowls on your Domestic Sewing Machine Thursday, Jan 25th 6:30p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Learn the basics of "throwing" rope pottery on your sewing machine! In this 2 hour class, you will create a one of a kind rope bowl. Cost: $ Includes supplies. Bring along a assortment of colored thread you would like to use to create your bowl. Saturday, March 3rd - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Cost: $40 - Includes Pattern I'll Drink to That is perfect for safely carrying a variety of beverages, glassware, and snacks! Foam is still OK, but the fabric is dated? Perhaps you have a been dreaming of all those Pinterest Pallet benches, but are winded at the cost of custom made cushions. If these sound true, then this is the class for you! 3 Fabric Collage Creations Friday and Saturday April 20th, 21st 5:00 pm- 10:00 pm on Friday 10:00 am - 5:00 p.m. Saturday Class Fee: $90.00 How to s for working with Fiberworks patterns - The awe inspiring designs by Laura Heine of Fiberworks have captured the imagination of so many of us. Creating your own version of Laura s designs isn t nearly as difficult as you might first think! Participants will need to order their chosen pattern in advance from Fabriculous. Either purchase a kit from us, or raid your floral fabric stash and come make a one of a kind blooming art quilt. The Jelly Roll Rug Workshop Saturday, February 24th 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Cost: $ includes pattern This is one class you won`t want to miss! Pick your favorite Jelly Roll, and join us in creating a super cute floor rug you will love! The possibilities for this technique are endless! Participants will be able to choose any of the Violet Craft Abstractions patterns to work on in this group. She will guide you through the paper piecing process, and share with you all the tips and tricks she picked up working on the series herself. Her samples are hanging in the Swan River shop for you to view. 5 Paint Your Own Barn Quilt Workshop Saturday, April 28th, 10:00am - 4:00 p.m. Class Fee: $50.00 Paint Your Own Barn Quilt Workshop Have you seen some of the wonderful Barn Quilts decorating the area, and wished you had one to display on your property. Here's your chance! The cost of this workshop will include a selection of "Quilt Paint" as well as design assistance in marking out and painting the pattern of your choice. The cost of the board you require is dependent on the size you pre-order. There will be three sizes available to choose from: 2 'x 2', =$55, 3' x 3', =$65 and 4' x 4'= $75. Paint your pet. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the SVAPL Event Info: Your admission includes everything needed to recreate the featured painting -- easels, paints, brushes, step-by-step instruction and a 16x20 gallery wrapped canvas to take home! We do the set up and the cleanup. No stress for you. We just ask that you arrive early so that you can select your seat. If you are in a large group the earlier the better. This is a specialized painting of YOUR pet. Only 1 pet per painting allowed. Once you have paid for your class please send us a clear, well-lit photograph in a JPEG format via along with your full name to gcvdwalt@gmail.com. We will sketch your pet directly on your canvas for you, ready for you to paint when your arrive. DEADLINE: Please note as we must allow time for our artist to sketch your pet your photograph must be ed to us no later than one week before the class. If your photograph is not in to us by that date we will not be able to sketch your pet. Bring an apron or dress appropriately. Refreshments will be served.
