PANTS 9. WRST sew with a 14" seam the center frnt and the center back seams. 10. WRST sew with a 14" seam the frnt t the back at the inner leg. 11. With Wrng Sides Tgether hand sew the side seams. 12. Tum under a 12" casing fr the waist. Sew dwn and leave pen 1" fr inserting elastic. 13. nsert the elastic thrugh the casing and secure the ends tgether. Stitch the pening clsed. 14. Yu need t d the same with the strips f the chamis t the side seams f the pants n the frnt and the back side f the seam. 1. All seams are 12" unless therwise stated n the pattern. 2. WRST: With Right Sides Tgether. 3. f using Chamis check ver all f it befre cutting ut, t check fr irregularities. FABRC & NOTONS f yu are ging t make it with chamis: 4 f the 5 15 Square feet f chamis r yu can make it ut f any synthetic suede 1 yd f synthetic suede *Yu will ats need* Carpet thread Stuffing 4 strips f fur 1" X 8" 1 Snap 14" wide elastic TOP 1. Lay the tp yke ut flat. Take the sleeves and lay them flat. Put the wrng side f the yke and the right side f the sleeve and sew tgether. (Using a very lng stitch by hand with the carpet thread) 2. Take the tp frnt and the tp yke and with the wrng side f the yke and the right side f the tp frnt, sew them tgether just like the sleeves. 3. D the same fr the back. 4. T make the side seam and the under arm seam, yu need t d a lng hand stitch 1" in frm the ratn edge. With Wrng Sides Tgether. 5. Yu need t cut strips f the chamis 9" lng and 18" wide abut 500 strips. 6. On all f the hand stitches yu need t tie ne f the strips f chamis. n the side seams yu will put them n the frnt and the back f the garment. 7. The best way t tie a strip is t fld the strip in half and then put the flded end under the thread and pull. Then pull the lse ends thught the lp, and pull the lse ends tight t frm the tie. 8. T make the back pening cut dwn the center back yke 4 12". Then sew a small snap t the tp f the pening. MOCCASNS 17. WRST sew the tab t the center frnt. (fr the left ft sew it n the left side and the right ft n the right side.) 18. WRST sew the side f the mccasin t the ther side f the center frnt. 19. WRST sew the sle f the mccasin t the tp part that yu just put tgether. Tum mccasin right side ut. 20. Make hles in the mccasins as marked n the pattern. Take ne f the chamis strips and run thught the tp set f hles and tie and d the same fr the bttm set f hles. 21. T put the mccasins n t Old Chief yu need t stuff the mccasins and then tie them n t the dll. LEG RAPS 15. Take the strips f fur and hand sew them t the tp and the bttm f the 8" X 5 12" piece f chamis. Make it lk like the chamis is lined in the fur and the fur is cming ut f the tp and the bttm f the rap. 16. Rap the leg raps arund Old Chiefs legs with his pants and mccasins n.
