Braided Elastic 8" wide panties sleeves 4 Tiny WMe Buttons or Snaps dress slip Small Satin Ribbon Rose collar 2 yd. Silk Ribbon 2mm wide 44 collar trim Skein White Embroidery Thread (embroidery on collar and dress skirt is optional) White Metrosene Machine Embroidery Thread machine and hand stitching READ ALL NSTRUCTONS BEFORE CUTTNG FABRCS & LACES NOTE:. WRST indicates With Right Sides Together. 2. All seams are 4" unless otherwise indicated. 3. Finish all seams with a serge or zigzag edge. SPECAL NSTRUCTONS A. Lightly mark off the shape of the collar with a pencil on a " x " square of batiste. Place in an embroidery hoop and embroider design provided with this pattem. After the embroidery is completed press then cut out collar. B. Lightly mark off the dress skirt. Place the section to be embroidered in the embroidery hoop. When the embroidery is completed press then cut out the skirt. Remember to cut out lower armholes SEE PATTERN. DRESS CONSTRUCTON (Sleeve elastic 22"). WRST sew the yoke front to the yoke back at the shoulder seams. Sew the yoke lining together at the shoulder seams. 2. WRST sew the yoke and lining together at the neck and down the back. 3. Gather 42" of 2" flat lace and sew to skirt bottom. Place lace right side up 4" above the skirt edge. With a narrow zigzag stitch sew along the straight edge of the lace. Press excess fabric seam (on the wrong side of the fabric) up away from the lace then zigzag again over previous stitching. Trim away excess seam on the under side. Double stitching makes the seam stronger and prevents fabric and lace from separating. SEE DAGRAM A. 4. Sew two rows of gathering stitches across the skirt top. Also sew the skirt center back seam. SEE PATTERN. 5. Pull up gathering threads on the skirt to fit the yoke. Pin and sew skirt to yoke leaving the yoke lining free. Tum under the yoke lining and hand stitch to the skirt and yoke seam. 6. Slit each skirt armhole as indicated on the pattem guide. 7. Sew two rows of gathering stitches across sleeve cap. 8. Narrow hem each sleeve edge then sew 38" flat cotton lace to each hem edge. 9. Zigzag 8" elastic on each sleeve. SEE PATTERN FOR PLACEMENT.. Pull up gathering threads at the sleeve cap to fll the armholes. Pin and sew sleeves to armholes.. WRST sew sleeve seam and the skirt underarm dart. 2. Sew small buttons and buttonholes on the dress back yoke or snaps if you prefer. OPTONAL gather " of 38" lace and whip stitch to the neck edge. Tuming under the lace about 4" on each end hand tack ends in place. SLP CONSTRUCTON 3. WRST sew front and back bodice together at the shoulder seams. Follow same procedure for the lining. PAGE OF 5

2 PATTERN NUMBER DA WRST sew the lining to the bodice at the neck down the backs and around the armholes. Trim seams to 8" To tum the bodice pull the backs through the shoulders. WRST sew the side bodice seams and the lining seams. 5. Sew two rows of gathering stitches across the skirt top. Pull up gathers to frt the bodice. Pin and sew skirt to bodice leaving bodice lining free. Whip stitch the lining to the bodice at the bodice and skirt seam. Sew 2" flat lace to the skirt bottom. Place lace right side up 4" above the skirt edge. WHh a narrow zigzag sthch sew lace then zigzag again over previous stitching. Trim away excess seam on the under side. WRST sew center back skirt seam. Sew two buttons or snaps on the bodice back. PANTES (Waist elastic 7'" (Leg elastic 3 2'" 6. WRST sew the fronts together at the center front seam. Sew the backs together at the center back seam. 7. Sew the front and back together at the side seams. 8. Tum under leg casings and sew. Stitch 38" flat lace to the bottom edge of the leg casing. nsert 8" elastic in each leg casing. 9. WRST sew the crotchinseam together catching the elastic ends in the seams. 2. Tum under waist casing leaving a small opening for inserting elastic. nsert elastic lap elastic ends and stitch together. Machine stitch the casing closed. DETACHABLE COLLAR 2. WRST sew the collar and collar lining together around the neck and outer edge. Leave opening between the dots for ease of turning. Trim seams to 8" turn and press. 22. Gather 22 2" of 38 "wide lace and hand sthch to the edge of the collar or attach the lade to the collar with a faggoting stitch.
