1 A few notes about PDF patterns from Designs by Jude.... This PDF pattern requires legal size paper (8.5 x 14 ) or A4 size paper (8.27 x 11.69, 210mm x 297mm). It will not print on standard letter. Patterns containing larger pieces will need to be taped together before cutting out the fabric. Be advised that this document needs to be printed to it s original scale. Please ensure that the printing options below are not selected. Do Not: Rotate and Center, Fit to Page, Reduce to Fit or adjust the scale of this document. 3 Designs by Jude Dressing Up For Fabric & Notions: cotton, shirting, light weight denim, snaps, tiny buckle. Fitted Skirt with Ruffled Edge/Pleated Edge Stitch darts on the back sections. Stitch front and back sections together at the side seams. Hem lower edge of ruffle/pleat. Run gather stitch across top edge of ruffle. Gather to fit skirt edge or pleat material using guidelines on pattern piece. With right sides together, sew ruffle to the bottom edge of the skirt. Press and top stitch if desired. Serge/zigzag edge on both back sections. Finish lower edge of skirt facing with serger or zigzag stitch. Pin skirt facing to skirt matching the notches. (After matching the notches, ¼ inch of facing fabric will stick out past the skirt edge). Turn facing into the skirt, tuck facing edges in and hand sew or machine top stitch to hold in place. Sew back sections together from dot to skirt hem, leaving opening to the waist. Sew a snap at the waist to finish back opening. Skirt should close left over right. Sleeveless Top Sew darts in the front and back sections of the top. With right sides together, sew lower bodice back to upper bodice back sections. Press. Zigzag or serge neck openings and armhole openings. Fold edges over to make a narrow hem and stitch in place. Run a gather stitch along the edge of the upper front bodice edge, between the large dot and garment center. Ease the gather to fit lower bodice front. Pinning both sections in place, meeting at the center peak, then stitch. With right sides together, sew each side seam. Hem lower edge of the top. Finish back openings. Sew snaps to close. Short Sleeve Dress Sew darts in the front and back sections of the top. With right sides together, sew lower bodice back to upper bodice back sections. Press. Zigzag or serge neck openings. Fold edges over to make a narrow hem and stitch in place. Run a gather stitch along the edge of the upper front bodice edge, between the large dot and garment center. Ease the gather to fit lower bodice front. Pinning both sections in place, meeting at the center peak, then stitch. Fold sleeve edge to form elastic for casing. Run elastic through, fit to dolls arm and secure each end. Run a gather stitch between the dots on the rounded edge of the sleeves. Ease the gather stitch to fit armhole opening. Pin in place and stitch. With right sides together, sew each side seam. Prepare dress skirt by cutting a strip of fabric 7 x 36 wide. Hem lower edge. Run a gather stitch along top edge. Ease the gather to fit the bodice opening. Pin in place and stitch. Sew the center back seam from the hem to the dot. Finish back openings Finish with snaps, Garment should close left over right.
