1 A few notes about PDF patterns from Designs by Jude.... This PDF pattern requires legal size paper (8.5 x 14 ) or A4 size paper (8.27 x 11.69, 210mm x 297mm). It will not print on standard letter. Patterns containing larger pieces will need to be taped together before cutting out the fabric. Be advised that this document needs to be printed to it s original scale. Please ensure that the printing options below are not selected. Do Not: Rotate and Center, Fit to Page, Reduce to Fit or adjust the scale of this document. 3 Designs by Jude Night at the Opera for Cami & Antoinette Fabrics and Notions Bodice: satins, silks, taffeta Skirt: satins, silks, taffeta Lining: lightweight cottons, batiste, china silk. Notions: 4ct. 4/0 snap sets, 1ct. 4 ½ doll zipper, matching thread. General Instructions Layout and cut all pattern pieces, following the grain line indicated on pattern. Seam allowance is ¼ and is already included within the dimensions of the pattern. Unless noted otherwise, you will use this seam allowance throughout construction. Waxed thread is recommended for hand sewing RST = Right Sides Together, WST = Wrong Sides Together Halter Top 1. Sew darts in halter top front. 2. RST, sew side back sections to back section. 3. RST, sew backs to front section at side seams. 4. Repeat above steps with lining. 5. With right sides together pin lining to fabric. 6. Sew all the way around leaving neck edge open. 7. Clip seams and turn right side out. Press. 8. Fold collar right sides together and sew around, leaving opening to turn and insert halter. 9. Turn collar. Press raw edges under. 10. Fit garment with collar inserted to doll. 11. Sew halter collar in place. 12. Finish garment back and collar with snaps. Skirt 13. RST, sew right back skirt and left back shirt together along center back raw edges, stopping at dot. Repeat for lining. Press seam allowance and zipper opening, open. Set doll zipper using the machine method or waxed thread using the prick stitch method. 14. Cut the zipper excess off. 15. Slip stitch over zipper teeth on each side to keep the slider from coming all the way off. 16. RST, sew skirt back side section to skirt back. Clip curves and press seam allowance open. Repeat for lining. 17. RST, sew skirt side front sections to skirt front. Clip curves and press seam allowance open. Repeat for lining. 18. RST, sew skirt front to skirt backs at the side seams. Clip curves and press seam allowance open. Repeat for lining. 19. Check fit to doll. Adjust seams as necessary. 20. Right sides together, pull lining over skirt and pin hem edges together. 21. Sew hem edge and clip to seam. 22. Turn garment right side out and lining in center and press. 23. Turn upper edge of skirt down ¼ and hard press. Turn lining down ¼ and hard press. Pin lining to skirt at waist and hand finish.
