Serge r zigzag all seams. ** A ladies half-slip can be used with sme adjustment. See Step 2. DRESS CONSTRUCTON:. Sew tucks n bdice frnts. Press tucks tward the armhle n each bdice frnt. 2. Turn under the center frnt facing and press. Crss the right frnt bdice ver the left frnt bdice at the "dt" and the ntches at the waist. Pin t hld in place then stitch the tw bdices tgether by lifting up the right neckline pleat and stitching n the stitch line f the pleat frm the "dt" t the waistline. 3. Staystitch acrss the bttm f the tucks between the ntches. 4. With the center frnt facing flded under sew the frnt and back bdice tgether at the shulder seams. Yes the frnt facings are included in the seams. S. With right sides tgether sew the back neck facing t the back bdice neck nly. Trim seam t S" turn and press. 6. Press the bdice shulder seams t the back bdice. Fld under back bdice neck facing 4" and hand stitch t the shulder seams. 7. Sew a S" hem n each lwer sleeve allwance frm the "dt" t the wrist. See Pattern. S. Sew tw rws f gathering stitches acrss the tp and bttm f each sleeve. 9. Fld the sleeve cuffs n the fld line and stitch acrss each end seam trim seams turn and press. 0. Pull up gathers n the lwer sleeve t fit the cuff. Pin and sew cuff t sleeve leaving the cuff lining free. Turn under lining 4" and hand stitch t the sleevelcuff seam. Prepare bth cuffs.. Pull up gathers f the sleeve cap t fit the armscye. Pin and sew sleeves t bdice. 2.Sew the bdice side seams and the sleeve seams t the "dt". 3. Pleat the tp edge f the skirt. Press under center back seam allwances which are used as skirt facings. 4. Pin and sew skirt and facings t the bdice and facings. Then sew 4" f clear elastic t the waist seam allwance using a zigzag stitch. S.Sew snaps n the dress back and n each sleeve cuff. Blind stitch a 2" hem n the skirt. PANTES CONSTRUCTON: 6.Sew the center frnt and center back seams. 7.Zigzag SS" lace t the edge f each leg. S.Sew the crtchinseam. 9. Turn under and sew the waist casing leaving an pening t insert S" elastic. nsert elastic and lap the ends ne ver the ther. Hand stitch the ends tgether. 20.Clse the casing pening with a machine stitch. HALF SLP: 2.lt is easiest t purchase a size small ladies half slip and adjust the waist elastic. f the slip is t lng and full cut ff the tp and sew gathering stitches acrss the tp. Pull up gathers and zigzag 2" f lingerie elastic t the waist edge. 22.lf yu wish t make a slip cut nyln trict r batiste 4S" X S". 23.Zigzag SS" lace t the bttm edge f the slip. 24. Sew the center back seam. 2S.Sew gathering stitches and finish as directed in Step 2. LACE DCKE: 26. Use yard f 6" wide bridal lace. Sew a rw f gathering stitches 2" frm the tp. Pull up gathers t measure abut S". Sew a rw f shrt stitches ver the gathering rw t stabilize. 27. Pin the dickie inside the dress at the shulder seams. BROACH: 27.Find a fancy buttn and glue a crsage pin t the back. Overall length f buttn shuld nt be mre than S" lng. There are 9 pattern pieces in this pattern.
