No fat quarters will be cut during the sale. Dear Friends, We hope everyone had a great Holiday season and is ready for a Happy New Year with lots of sewing. We are very excited about our new classes beginning this month. We have several new techniques and are revisiting a few old favorites. We are attending Sewposium of the second time. This is a conference for shop owners only. We got a lot of new ideas here last year and from the brochure we know we will come back with several new ones this year. We will be doing the Mystery Quilt again starting in March. We had over 25 people do this quilt last year. Only the sixty shops that attend Sewposium have the pattern. 2 EXCITING NEW CLASSES We are happy to be offering several exciting new classes. Many classes require a sewing or embroidery machine; please let us know if you would like to use one of ours. Class fee is due when you register. You can sign up at the store, by phone or . If registering over the phone or , you must have a valid credit card. Receipts and class supply lists will be mailed to you. Full refunds on class fee will be given if you cancel seven days in advance. After that, a 50% refund will be given provided you give us 24 hours notice. If you do not attend a class and we are not given 24 hours' notice, there will be no refund or rescheduling of your class. Classes may be cancelled if Cabell County schools are closed for snow or ice (please call ahead and use your own judgment in inclement weather). If we cancel classes, they will be rescheduled or class fee refunded. Stop by the store to register for your class. Please be considerate of your teacher and fellow classmates who may have allergies refrain from wearing scented lotions and perfumes. Please have your fabric and supplies purchased before the beginning time of your class. This is very important because if you wait until time of your class, you put the instructor and other students behind. Classes Beginning Quilting - If you are someone who has always wanted to learn to quilt, this is the class for you. It is also great for someone who needs a refresher on cutting and piecing techniques. Instructor Eileen Farren. Three sessions: Saturdays February 23rd, March 9th and 16th 10:00-- 3:00. Class Limit: 4. Class fee: $30.00 Travel Caddy. - Make this great bag as a weekender for a trip or to take all your class material in. Instructor: Rhonda Ray 2 sessions: Fridays March 1st & 8th 10:00-3:00 or Mondays March 11th and 18th 10:00-3:00. Class Limit: 4 Class fee: $25.00 Kaleidoscope Stack-n-Whack Take your favorite material and cut it, stack it then whack it. Sew it together to make beautiful blocks. And no two will be alike. 3 Hand Quilting - If you have always wanted to learn to hand quilt, this is the class for you. Tammy is an unbelievable hand quilter and a great teacher. This year we will be using pre-printed quilt blocks. They are available at the store. Instructor: Tammy Barnett One session: Thursday February 7th 5:00-8:00 or Friday February 15th 10:00-1:00 Cost: $20.00 Class fee includes spool of thread and starter pack of between needles. Class Limit: 6 Sunbonnet Sue - Spring: Our Hand Appliqué class. This adorable little Sunbonnet Sue makes a great wall hanging or pillow. Great beginning class. Pattern was designed to highlight this fabric; however, you can use your favorite fabric to make this quilt. Instructor: JoAnn Gwinn. Sandy is making a few changes to this class and adding some new techniques. Use your regular sewing machine (any manufacturer) to quilt your own quilts/table runners, etc. Instructor: Sandy Sheffield Thursday April 11th 5:00-8:00 Class Fee: $20.00 Class Limit: 6 Jelly Roll Rug - This is one of the most popular patterns in the US right now. Instructor: JoAnn Gwinn Two sessions Wednesdays February 6th and 13th10:00-2:00 or Tuesdays April 2nd and 9th 5:00-8:00. Class Limit: 6 Class Fee: $ Luggage Rider/Carry On - This is a great tote that fits over your luggage handle or use it on your sewing machine cart. Instructor: Prudy Pickens. Instructor: Rhonda Ray Two Sessions Wednesdays February 20th and 27th 10:00-3:00 Tuesdays March 5th and 12th 5:00-8:00 Class Limit: 6 Class Fee: $25.00 Computer Classes Sandy Sheffield is offering two classes structured for using your computer with machine embroidery. Using your computer is Saturday April 13th 10:00-2:00. We all love expanding our design library but sometimes it can be a little frustrating. Learn downloading and organizing those files so you can find them later. What programs will let you view those files as an embroidery design. Class Limit: 10 Class Fee: $15.00 The second class is Perfect Embroidery Pro or PEP. Class is Saturday April 27th 10:00-2:00 In this class we will show the benefits of owning embroidery software. PEP is easy to use and will be compared to others. If you own PEP, please bring your computer with the software loaded. Sandy will answer questions on digitizing, editing or any other questions you have about the program. Class Fee: $15.00 Sip & Stitch Every Thursday from 10:00-2:00 This is a great time to meet fellow quilters and work on projects you just can't seem to get to at home. Having problems with a pattern? There is always someone here during Sip & Stitch to help you Mystery Quilt Come join our mystery quilt club. It starts March 2nd. You come in and pick out a mystery bag. (you will be able to see the main color of the quilt). The bag will contain fabric and your cutting instructions. Then every two weeks you come back and receive a clue. Each clue will give you the sewing instructions for part of the quilt. The last clue will have the finishing instructions. Then we will have a reveal party where everyone gets to show off their finished quilt and receive a gift for finishing. We had over 25 people do this last year and they keep asking us when we are going to start this year. Only the 60 shops that attend Sewposium have this pattern. So come in and sign up and see what this Mystery brings.

6 "Home is Where the Heart Is" Our annual Embroidery Retreat will be March 29th thru the 31st. It is at Carter Caves State Park in Kentucky. This year our embroidery retreat projects are designed for our Home. Starting with a Family Rules Sampler, which would be wonderful framed, as a pillow or a quilted wall hanging. Next, we will spruce up the kitchen with a Home is Where the Heart Is themed towel that will have special finishes. Table Linens embroidered with Kimberbells Cutwork Heart flowers are very adorable with the Personalized Free-Standing Lace napkin rings.. The symbol of "Welcome" is the Pineapple and we will use wool to make an oval mat that has an appliqued Pineapple and the word Welcome on it. This is just a few of the projects we will be working on and of course we will do our charity blocks for donation. On Friday morning for those who wish to arrive early we will be doing an extra in the hoop class. Come join us for a fun weekend! Games and Door Prizes!. Embroidery Makes the Quilt Join us Sunday March 24th at 2:30 for a trunk show with National teacher and author Betty Mitchell. Your embroidery machine is perfect for creating one-of-a-kind quilts. Find a treasure trove of ideas, technical advice, practical tips and more as Betty shares a trunk show of quilts that have spent some time in her embroidery machines hoop. Discuss threads, stabilizers, design combinations, placement and more.

7 Embroidery Club Embroidery Club Instructor: Sandy Sheffield The Embroidery Club meets once a month to learn new techniques and ideas on machine embroidery. Since the classes have become large, registration is now required to hold your spot. Classes will be limited. Be sure to sign up early so we will have ample time to provide enough kits for some of the projects. The club is held the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:00-12:30, 1:30 4:00 or from 5:30 8:00. Cost is $10.00 per each class session. Class limit is 6 per session. Please check your supply lists for class or call to make sure you bring everything you need. Please note that Sandy rarely cancels her classes due to the weather. *** If you borrow one of our machines please bring your own hoop and bobbin threads. January 22 - Embroidered Tech Club Shirt The embroidery club this time will revolve around technical items. So we must make a shirt for the tech club. February 26 Flash Drive Key Fobs and Cord Wraps. Great to keep our Flash Drives one, especially the ones with our special designs and wrap your cords so we don't lose them. March 26th - Tech to go Caddie This Pickle Pie design Great to carry all your technical items in. April 23rd. Luggage Tags. Make you and your family personalized luggage tags so your luggage is easier to identify.

8 Block of the Month From The Heart This is a stunning quilt designed by the Quilt Company of Californis.. Class will meet the Third Monday of each month starting in February. Class time is 5:30 to 7:30. This is for the beginning to advanced appliquer. You do not have to attend class to purchase the kit. Floss Garden Wreath Beautiful Hand stitched Quilt by Crabapple Hill. Class will be Third Thursday of every month from 5:00-8:00. First class will be Thursday February 21st. This is class is for the beginning to advanced stitcher. You do not have to attend class to purchase kit. Kaffe Fassett Collective Summer 2019 Quilt Along Kaffetastic Color We are excited to be participating in the Kaffe Fassetts Quilt Along Beginning April 30th you can purchase the kit for the quilt from us. Downloads of patterns begin June 30th. If you purchase the kit from us between April 30th and May 30th cost will be $ and you will receive a special tote bag with some swag.
