1 We are looking forward to spending the summer with you! Kids Kamp ATTENTION MOMS!! AND CALLING ALL EIGHT, NINE, TEN, ELEVEN YEAR OLDS! (BOYS & GIRLS) Instructors: Shop Teachers Class tuition: $60 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics, plus approx. $35 for class supply kit (notions & batting). (Tuition/ Supply Kit cost due at enrollment.) Monday Friday 9:00 to 12:00 pm # Kamp I June 6 to 10 # Kamp II June 13 to 17 # Kamp III June 27 to July 1 # Kamp IV July 11 to 15 # Kamp V July 25 to 29 If your child wants to learn how to sew and you don t have the time or knowledge, this class is for them! We teach students the basic fundamentals of the sewing machine and how to sew a straight seam. (We use our sewing machines please don t bring yours). They will sew together pre-cut squares to make a throw size quilt. What a great way to spend a week of summer mornings! Kids choose their own fabric for this class. Fabric will need to be purchased and cut before class. If you wish, a teacher will cut for you for a $5 fee. If we are cutting for you, we will need the fabric at least one week before class begins.

2 2nd Time Around - KWILT KAMPS For young quilters who have previously attended Kids Kamp Instructors: Sandy Clapp and shop teachers Class tuition: $48 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics, plus approx. $22 for class supply kit (notions & batting). (Tuition/Supply Kit cost due at enrollment.) Monday Thursday 1:30pm 4:30pm # June 6 June 9 # June 20 June 23 # July 18 July 21 # July 25 July 28 We will build on previously learned skills and aim toward an accurate ¼-inch seam allowance and rows that are the same length. They will also read a simple pattern to determine the order pieces are sewn together. Kids choose their own fabric for this class. Fabric will need to be purchased and cut before class. If you wish, a teacher will cut for you for a $5 fee. If we are cutting for you, we will need the fabric at least one week before class begins. 3 rd Times the Charm - FQ Bag For kids who have successfully completed 2 nd Time Around Must be 10 years old Instructor: Karen Munger Class Tuition: $48.00 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics. Monday, June 27 Thursday, June 30, 1:00pm - 5:00pm # With only four fat quarters of fabric, we will make this tote large enough for letter-sized papers and notebooks. Step by step, we will walk you through the process on reading a pattern and putting all the pieces together. Make it your own with your fabric choices!

3 3 rd Times the Charm- BFF Pillow Students must be 10 years or older and have successfully completed 2 nd Time Around - Instructor: Sandy Clapp Class Tuition: $24 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics Wednesday, July 6 & Thursday, July 7, 1:00pm 4:00pm # Best Friends Forever! Make two throw pillows, one for you and one for your BFF. Each pillow features a picture of you and your BFF at its center. Before class, you will need to send an with the photos attached and we will print them on fabric. You will sew and quilt the pillows using fabrics of your choice. The pillows feature a log cabin design to frame your pictures. Share some special memories and your sewing skills with this quick and cuddly project. Fabric will need to be cut before class. If you wish, we can cut for you for $5. We will need the fabric at least 1 week before class. If you cut yourself, be sure you cut accurately as a quilter cuts or the pieces will not fit together. Note: The approximate material costs for this class - fabric $33, kit (with batting, muslin for lining pillow, photo paper and printing of photos) $8.50. Two pillow forms purchased elsewhere- $12 3 rd Times the Charm Magic Pillow Quilt Students must be 10 years or older and who have successfully completed 2nd Time Around Instructors: Sandy Clapp and shop teachers Class Tuition: $48, due at the time of enrollment Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics. Monday, July 11 Thursday, July 14, 1:30pm 4:30pm # It s a pillow No, it s a quilt! Well, it is both. A pillow that can be unfolded and become a quilt. How cool is that! Great for road trips, sleep overs, or just for cuddling at home. We ll make a pieced pillow and attach it to a strippy quilt. A matching zippered bag is a nice extra. Fabric will need to be cut before class. If you wish, we can cut for you for $5. We will need the fabric at least 1 week before class. If you cut yourself, be sure you cut accurately as a quilter cuts or the pieces will not fit together. Note: The approximate cost for fabric is $65, kit (batting, basting spray) $14

4 3 rd Times the Charm- Appliqued Hearts Students must be 10 years or older and have successfully completed 2nd Time Around Instructor: Sandy Clapp and Gigi McEver Class Tuition: $60.00 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics. Monday, August 1 Friday, August 5, 1:00pm 4:00pm # How could you not fall in love with a heart quilt? Select your own fabrics and learn basic machine appliqué. Some pre-class work to prepare heart for appliqué is required. If you are not familiar with preparing fabric with Soft Fuse for appliqué, you can attend a short pre-class meeting on Monday, July 25 th, 9:30-10am to learn how. If this is a problem, you can call Sandy at to make other arrangements. Fabric will need to be cut before class. If you wish, we can cut it for you for $5. We will need fabric at least 1 week before class. If you cut yourself, be sure you cut accurately as a quilter cuts or the pieces will not fit together. Note: The Approximate material costs - fabric $106, kit (with batting, basting spray) $20 Advanced Level Kids Kwilt Kamp - A Slice of Summer Quilt For students who have completed 3rd Times A Charm classes Instructor: Emilee Dube & Becky Jacks Class Tuition: Class Tuition: $60.00 Additional Cost: Students purchase their own fabrics + Approx. $65 for a class kit (background fabric/notions) Monday, June 13 Friday, June 17, 1:00pm - 5:00pm # We are excited to offer a new quilt this year for our advanced students who have passed 3 rd year classes. A Slice of Summer is a fun colorful quilt that involves appliqué and piecing slice fabrics of a student s choice onto black and white text prints. The class kit includes: background fabrics, appliqué/quilting thread, batting & basting spray. Students will need to purchase additional materials listed on supply list, such as soft fuse and template plastic. Please note there is required pre-class homework for this class. Emilee will be available to do demonstrations of pre-class homework on Thursday June 2 from 5-00pm-8:00pm or Friday June 10 at from noon to 1:00pm. Attendance at one demonstration time is highly recommended. See the supply list for more detailed information.

Monday, July 18 through Friday, July 22, 9:00am - 12:00pm # Make a fun tote by personalizing the black-and-white coloring fabric and then learning the steps to construct a bag. In this class, you will learn to read a pattern, construct a tote complete with a lining pocket. Instructor: Barbara Mitchell Class Tuition: $45.00 Saturday, May 7, 9:30am 4:00pm # Adult Classes Ready, Set, Serge! Beginner Level Are you ready to face your fear and learn the basics of serging? Does your thread keep breaking? Barbara will take you step-by-step through many techniques while teaching you the tricks to threading your machine (and keeping those threads from breaking!) Learn how easy it is to change tensions to do rolled hemming, flatlocking, and ruffling. You will learn to attach ribbon and lace at the SAME time! By the end of class, you will know your machine inside and out! Squedge Table Topper Intermediate level class Instructor: Debi Morrow Class Tuition: $15.00 Saturday, May 21, 1:00pm 4:00 pm # Make a dramatic table topper with strips of 3 fabrics using the squedge 22.5 ruler. The ruler makes it simple come join the fun!

Has someone begged you for a T-shirt quilt? Join this class and learn the secrets of making a one of a kind T-shirt quilt as you discover the tricks to preparing the tees and methods to design your very own one of a kind T-shirt quilt. You will learn how to determine the optimal block size and how to incorporate designs of all sizes. We will discuss layout options, batting choices, quilting styles. You will be amazed to see how quickly a pile of T-shirts can become a wonderful quilt packed with memories! Instructor - Shirlene Davis Class Fee - $20.00 Machine Appliqué Beginner Level Class Saturday, July 23, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm # In this class we will make a fun banner using machine appliqué techniques. We will discuss tools, tips and techniques that make applique easy. During this time we ll learn both raw edge and finished appliqué securing pieces with a Zig Zag and Blanket Stitch.

7 Instructor: Toni Owens Class tuition: $45.00 Basic Quiltmaking Beginner Level Saturday, May 14, 10am-4pm & June 4, 12pm-4pm # Or Saturday, July 16, 10am-4pm & July 30, 12pm-4pm # This class teaches traditional quilt making and is designed for the person who knows nothing, but can also provide helpful hints and tips for those who are looking to improve their present skills. We start right at the beginning by teaching you the correct usage of the rotary cutter, rulers and how to master that quarter-inch seam used in quilt making. You only need to know how to sew a straight stitch. The class specializes in individual attention and hands-on training. Finish It Basic Quiltmaking Beginner Level must have completed Basic Quiltmaking Instructor: Sandy Clapp and Toni Owens Class Tuition: $40.00 Saturdays, May 28, 9:30am 4:00pm and June 11, 12:00pm 4:00pm # Or Saturdays, August 13, 9:30am 4:00pm and August 27, 12:00pm 4:00pm # This is a new class that teaches the Finishing of the quilt. Learn to add borders, sandwich, baste and quilt (hand or machine). The last step is binding and a most important part - labeling your quilt. This class will benefit any type of quilt making: pillows, wall-hangings, table-runners and of course quilts. This is a two-part class.

Quilt Camp All skill levels With Debbie, Toni & Eve Cost: $ Friday & Saturday, August 19 & 20, 9:30 am 9:30pm Sunday, August 21, 9:30am 5:00pm # Come have a Summer Fun Weekend! If you have never attended a Quilt Retreat, you may have no idea what we are talking about. It is designed to provide space to spread out for three days, without interruption from family members, household duties or anything else that gets in your way of productive sewing time. You may come with projects you need to complete or bring new projects you want to start. The only thing we don t do at this camp is spend the night. You don t even have to cook. Lunch and dinners are provided. If you need help in certain areas or some advice to spur you on in the right direction, this is the place to be. You may simply want to be left alone to do your own thing and that is OK too. There will be lots of eats and treats, door prizes are always given and best of all you will make some new friends.

You earn by doing things yourself. In this class, you will learn how to perform the following tasks like a professional. Come join us for three glorious hours of hand sewing. Bring your current project or come plan a new one. We ll share tips on techniques, tools, fabric, patterns and whatever else comes up in conversation. Best of all, we can spend some uninterrupted time with other handwork lovers. Come join our stitchery group. We meet once a month... there is always something to learn and share with each other. Prairie Woman Sewing Circle Club Meetings With Eve Murphy You are invited to join a unique monthly club with Eve that will take you on a journey back in time. Come hear what life was like for the Prairie Woman - making their quilts and traveling by wagon train on the Oregon Trail. Hear stories about the lives of quilters during the Civil War and through the Women's rights movement as you journey through each month reproducing quilts from an era gone by. Club membership is $45.00 if you attend the meetings and $52.00 if you plan to participate by mail. Membership includes a pattern each month for six months. Eve will offer a kit each month for the featured quilt, kit is sold separately. You can join even if you can't attend the meetings. Wool Crazy Club - Not Your Grandmother s Crazy Patch Quilt With Toni Owens Tuesdays, May 17 and August 16-1:30 pm 4:30 pm Tuesday, July 5, 1:30pm 4:30pm Continue on the journey of Wool Appliqué and Embroidery. If you are interested in Crazy Patch Quilts, Folk-art appliqué, embellishing with embroidery stitches or just learning to work with wool, this class is for you. You choose your project or design your own crazy patch quilt. Wool and patterns are available to help give you ideas for your wool project. We meet once each month to work on our projects, share stories, stitches, thread and wools. Basic quilt making or sewing required for this class. Sit n Sew These sessions are for anyone who wants to come and use the class room to sit and sew. We love our Wednesdays and we love having our customers come sit and sew.
