When you see a class you are interested in taking, the teacher and she will register you and send you the supply list and any other information needed to have a fun and successful class. The blocks are traditional appliqued. There will be 12 different classes. You will need all 12 to complete the quilt as pictured but you are welcomed to come to any of the classes in which you are interested or able to attend. Serger Club 2 nd Saturday of each month Teacher: Donna Darracott dd82@bellsouth.net Date: Saturday, April 11 10:30-12:30 Cost: $20 Let s prepare for the Summer Serged Skirt by learning how to use the gathering foot and the belt loop foot. After learning to use these feet you will be able to complete the cool 3 tier skirt in no time at all. Supplies: ½ yd cotton fabric and 5 spools of different colored serger thread. Please let me know if you are coming. And refrain from wearing colognes and perfume, some of us are allergic to them, thank you. Techniques and Beyond 3 rd Saturday of each month Teacher: Francine Kind fmkind@gmail.com Date: Saturday, March 21 10:30 - noon Cost: $10 TAB is a lecture/demo class where you will learn new techniques and new applications for techniques you already know. New techniques are taught each month along with ways to use the many feet available for our machines. Everyone is encouraged to bring sew and tell and questions/problems. We will make a cup each month. Finished quilt will be 50 x 62. This year s quilt will be a scrappy quilt using beautiful batiks and traditional quilt blocks. We will start with the classic 9-Patch. We will focus on sewing, education, charitable activities - and fun. Come join us. The Smocking Arts Guild of America welcomes any person who enjoys smocking, fine hand sewing, and related needle arts. This will be a fun time to come and meet others who enjoy hand stitching. Con Cancer Charity Sew 3 rd Friday of each month Date: Friday, April 17 10:30 3:30 Join ConKerr Cancer at Laura's Sewing and sew up some smiles for the sick children at our local hospitals. Bring your machine or serger and come for the day or whatever your schedule will allow. There will be some kits precut ready to sew but we also need donations of kid themed all cotton fabric. No worries if you don't want to sew - we can put you to work pinning or ironing. If you are not familiar with this wonderful organization you can go to ConKerrCancer.org for more information. North Palm Beach American Sewing Guild 3 rd Monday of each month Date: Monday, April 20 1:00 3:00 The American Sewing Guild (ASG) is an organization for people who believe sewing is a creative and rewarding activity, people who find sharing the benefits and joys of sewing almost as much fun as sewing itself. The Guild is a network of sewing friends from all levels of sewing experience. Come join us for a fun and rewarding time. American Sewing Guild Charity Sit and Sew 4 th Wednesday of each month Date: Wednesday, April 22 10:30-3:30 Join us each month to sew projects for charity. Come all day or any part of the day. We have quilt kits for those of you interested in quilting.
