6 f NPUTS (Hish and Lw Gain) (U (21 The first input (1) is luder than the secnd input (2). The first input (1)shuld be used in mst cases t achieve maximum signal-t-nise rati; hwever, if yur instrument puts ut such a large signal that yu can turn the vlume cntrl just a little bit abve the ff psitin, then use the secnd input (2) t cut dwn n the signal. There is n difference in tne between the tw inputs - nly vlume. (N. 2 is 10 DB lwer than N. 1.) BRIGHT SWITCH (3) In the BRIGHT psitin, the treble is bsted in relatin t the bass and mid-range. lt is mst active at lwer vlume cntrl settings and decreases in activity as the vlume cntrl (4) is advanced t avid feedback and scillatins at high vlume. VOLUME (4) (71 The Vlume Cntrl (4) increases the vlume f all frequencies and special functins equally with the exceptin f the Bright Switch (3). (See abrye.) TREBLE (5) (B) The treble circuitry is f the cut and bst type. This type f cntrl allws yu a great deal f treble bst, as well as sufficient treble cut fr maximum sustain in the mid-range at higher pwer levels. Always keep in mind that straight up is flat. Turning the treble cntrl t the left f center eliminates treble, t the right f center increases treble. BASS (6) (e) The Bass Cntrl is als f the cut and bst type. Flat (r nrmal) is straight up. T the left f center cuts bass, t the right f center bsts. GROUND REVERSE (10) Under sme cnditins, the grund reverse switch can reduce r eliminate a persistant hum r click in the strings. Set the switch in whichever psitin reduces r eliminates the rblem. POWER OFF/ON (11) This turns the whle system n (see hk-up prcedure). lf everything is wrking, there might be a lud thump when yu turn the amp n. DN'T panlc. This is nrmal.

7 PILOT LAMP (12) Lamp t shw that pw-.r is n. AC LINE CORD (13) All Acustic amplifiers have a 3 wire grunding plug. This will eliminate any pssibility f shck hazard AS LONG AS ALL OTHER EOUIPMENT ls SIMILARLY GROUNDED. Shck cnditins are caused by different grund ptentials betrveen the amplifiers and the P.A. system, r between the amplifiers and the actual grund (cement flr, dirt, r wet stage, fr example). This vltage difference can be dangerus, and if the grund reverse sr,rritch desn't eliminate the shck, DON'T PLAY. Make the stage manager f electrician crrect the prblem. FUSE (14) Keep in mind that a fuse is simply a circuit breaker that perates if a ptentially dangerus situatin exists. lf the fuse des blw, always replace it with a 3 Amp Sl-Bl fuse at 125 vlts (3AG).* D nt use any ther type r rating. "Exprt mdels have a 1.5 Amp (3AB) Sl-Bl fuse at 250 vlts. AC CONVENTENCE OUTLET (15)* This utlet will prvide AC pwer fr auxiliary equipment. D nt plug equipment int this utlet if the pwer demands are higher than the rating marked next t the utlet. The utlet st:ys n even when the amplifier is ff. *Exprt mdels have a 24O vlt AC utlet. SPEAKER JACKS (16 & 17) When using nly ne speaker bttm, yu may use either speaker jack. All Acustic speaker systems have a nminal impedence f 4 hms. Yu may use any number f speaker systems as lng as the ttal impedence is nt less than 4 hms.

8 BOOSTER OUTPUT JACK (18) This jack wuld be used if yu desire t drive an additinal pwer amp and speakers using the lead t cntrl the extra pwer amp. The jack may als be used as a recrding utput t drive a tape recrder r as an utput that will plug directly int a P.A. system t prevent the pssibility f P.A. feedback. The bster utput will prvide a signal level f 230mv when the amplifier is putting ut abut 100 watts. Make sure that 230mv is sufficient fr the auxiliary equipment. NOTE: Exprt mdels are designed fr peratin at 240 vlts at 50/60 cycles.
