CHANGES TO THE SPECIFICATONS Software Services, Section 16748, Add as an attachment to this section Attachment A enclosed with this addendum. CHANGES TO THE DRAWINGS Sheet E-101, Generator Site Plan, Replace SCALE 1 = 10 with 1 = 25. Sheet E-301, Switchgear Room Plan, Replace SCALE 1 = 50 with 1 = 8. Sheet E-601, Unit Substation No. 2 One-Line, Add the following new note to this sheet: NOTE: 1. PROVIDE 1 C(10#14) FROM GENERATOR TO OVATION PANEL. TERMINATE WIRES FOR GENERATOR RUNNING AND GENERATOR FAULT TO SPARE INPUTS IN THE OVATION PANEL. UPDATE SCADA SYSTEM HMI SCREENS TO SHOW THE GENERATOR INFORMATION. RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS Clark Construction dated 6/15/2018 Question 1: Please provide a location of the ECP. Panel location is shown on floor plan, E-301 at column lines B13 B15. Please clarify scales on drawings E-101 and E-301. Under CHANGES TO DRAWINGS, See changes to Sheet E-101 & Sheet E-301 included in this addendum. On drawing E-701, the Discharge Valves appear to require a signal to go back to Ovation. This contradicts the drawings on the floor plan. Please confirm as to whether or not a separate shielded cable is required back to the Ovation panel A shielded cable is required to go from the actuator to the Ovation panel. This shielded wire shall pass through the ECP to the Ovation panel. Page 1 of 5

2 Question 6: Question 7: Question 8: On drawing E-701, the Discharge Valves appear to require a signal back to the Marshalling cabinet. This contradicts the drawings on the floor plan. Please confirm as to whether or not these conductors must go back to the Marshaling cabinet. A shielded cable is required to go from the actuator to the Ovation panel. This shielded wire shall pass through the ECP to the Ovation panel. Please clarify scope of work on drawing E-702. Per note 1, where are the solenoid valves that are being replaced on the floor plan? Are the signals from the relays back to SCADA additional signal wires over and above those shown on drawing E-701? Solenoids are located at the hydraulic actuator and shall be demolished with the actuator. The signals from the relays are not associated with the wires from the actuators shown on E-701. Please clarify the scope of work on drawing E-702. Are the signal wires from limit switches shown the same as shown on E-701? Yes. The limit switch contacts and wires shown here come from the associated valve actuator depicted on E-701. Please clarify scope of work on drawings E-703 E-705. Are these operator stations the same as shown on E-701? They appear different as they are showing lights and pushbuttons being replaced. If these push-button stations are different than the operator stations on E-701, please provide locations. E-703 through E-705 depicts work at the ECP. They have nothing to do with operator stations down at the valve actuators. Please clarify if the valve wiring as shown on E-701 is single point connections or are we required to run sealtite or extend wiring to field devices. The floor plans and wiring schematic depict the intent of the wiring and controls for each actuator. Bidder will be responsible for making the connections required for whichever actuator they provide. Clark Construction Company dated 6/18/2018 Question 1: Is any work expected to be done on overtime, or is everything intended to be performed during normal work hours? Please refer to Section Summary of Work. Page 2 of 5

3 Could you please provide a drawing with ECP in relation to work area? Panel location is shown on floor plan, E-301 at column lines B13 B15. Could you please provide location for solonoids being replaced with relays as shown on drawing E-702?. Solenoids to be demolished are located at the associated valve hydraulic actuator. These solenoids shall be demolished when the actuator is demolished. Could you please provide a part number for the position indicators being replaced on drawing E-703 & E-704? Bidder shall provide a position indicator as specified in Bidder shall install in same location as existing indicator. Panel modifications may be necessary. Could you please confirm that the devices shown to be replaced at the ECP on drawing E- 603, are the same devices as shown on drawings E-703 E-705? Correct. Clark Construction Company dated 6/20/2018 Question 1: What are the weights of the existing cone valves? The weights of the existing cone valves are not known at this time. Will contractors have access to the 30-Ton Crane and loading area on the main level for the removal and installation cone valves? Please refer to Section Summary of Work. There is an existing beam in the basement where the new 42-inch bypass piping is to be located. Please indicate whether a contractor is able to use the beam to aid in the rigging and installation of piping, and what is the maximum weight limit the beam can support? No existing structural analysis has been performed. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage that may occur during construction. Any means and methods involving existing structural elements shall be discussed with GLWA during construction. Page 3 of 5

4 Project Specifications and Drawings do not indicate a method to joining the straight runs of the 42-inch ductile iron pipe. Although documents show flanged fittings and some flexible couplings at certain locations, the type of joint to be used on straight pipe runs is not indicated. Please clarify whether push joints with locking gaskets, mechanical joints, etc. are desired for the application. The contractor shall provide mechanical joints subject to Owner approval. Will the steel located above the access hatch able to support the new 42-inch piping to be lowered into the basement? Refer to response to Question #3 above. Emerson dated 6/20/2018 Question 1: Specification section (paragraphs 1.01 C1, 1.01 C3, 1.01, D, 2.02, 3.01A) references PLC related tasks as part of the contractor s scope for this contract. Please clarify what are the specific PLC requirements outlining what PLCs should be programmed and or if new PLCs should be provided. Provide programming to integrate the proposed control and monitoring of the pump discharge valves. This shall require PLC and HMI programming as laid out in this specification and the Attachment A PCN that will be included in this addendum. Specification section paragraph 1.02A indicates that attachment A provides process control narratives (PCNs). However, attachment A is not included in the bid specifications. Please clarify. The PCN will be included in this addendum. Is there a requirement to program any points at the System Control Center in the contract? No. Please provide an I/O list for all the new points to be added to the system. Make sure that the list includes, I/O point descriptions, controller cabinet location and I/O module channel assignments. I/O is shown on the drawings, no list will be provided. The high service pump discharge valve actuator wiring diagram on drawing E-701 shows signals going to a Marshaling cabinet. Please advise if the referenced cabinet an existing Ovation Cabinet and provide details about the signal types. The marshalling cabinet and Ovation cabinet are one in the same. The marshalling cabinet is the field termination point for the Ovation cabinet. Page 4 of 5

5 Question 6: Please advise if the power generator shown on specification Drawings E-101 & E-102 will be communicating through an ethernet datalink to the Ovation system to send status and alarm points. The bid set does not call for any monitoring of the generator by the Ovation system. Monitoring of running and fault is included in this addendum. Page 5 of 5
