Include dimensions and manufacturers' technical data on features, performance, ratings, and finishes. B. Shop Drawings: For each HACS: 1. Dimensioned plans, elevations, sections, and details. Show tabulations of installed devices, equipment features, and ratings. Include the following: a. Enclosure types and details. b. Door types and details. c. Locations and details of MEPFP connection points d. Locations of MEPFP enclosure penetrations C. Coordination Drawings: Floor plans showing dimensioned layout, required working clearances, and required area above and around HACS where pipe and ducts are prohibited. Show support locations, type of support, and weight on each support. 1.8 EXTRA MATERIALS AND SPARE PARTS A. Provide a list of factory recommended spare parts with a corresponding price list. Prices shall be in effect for up to one year after final commissioning. Pricing for an initial complement of recommended spare parts will be considered in the selection of a particular vendor. PART 2 -PRODUCTS 2.1 APPROVED MANUFACTURERS A. HACS 1. Wright Line 2.2 GENERAL A. HACS shall consist of a stationary structure assembly capable of containing hot air from the IT equipment. Each HACS will provide air removal from to two (2) rows of server racks or IT equipment facing each other. The HACS will have a ceiling capable of accepting ducting the return air into the plenum, be solid in the event of an under the floor return plenum, or allow the fire suppression material to enter the aisle. Where equipment is not installed, toolless vertical blanking panels will be provided. 3
4 2.3 STRUCTURE A. The structure shall consist of steel vertical and horizontal framing. Framing shall be capable of supporting the installed components by relying on the overhead structure, supported from the floor or the cabinets. When supported from overhead structure the HACS shall have the ability to accept the typical roof movement associated with environmental loading on building structures, without impeding the containment integrity B. Rubber gaskets shall be provided where IT equipment, cabinets, and blanking panels are to be installed. Gaskets shall help mitigate loss of hot air or cold air infiltration into the HACS. C. The structure shall be capable of accepting equipment in various widths and heights without the use of tools. Maximum dimensions shall accommodate two facing rows Framing shall also be able to accept IT equipment that is not equivalent to standard dimensions mentioned above. Depending on the building s infrastructure all cabinets may be able to be removed from the aisle while the containment solution remains deployed. D. All Vertical blanking panels, etc., shall consist of light-weight 18 gauge steel. Vertical blanking panels shall have the ability to expand to fill gaps for the full height of standard racks as well as gaps above non standard equipment while maintaining containment. Full length vertical blanks are available to seal where cabinets are removed. E. Shall have the ability to withstand an Air pressure pulse equal to or greater than 2X operating pressure for a period of 2 seconds without damage. Pressure relief systems may activate but returns to ready state automatically. F. Maximum overall length and width is to be determined by the building infrastructure and containment solution specified. G. The dimension internal to the HACS from the top of the rack to the ceiling determined by the building infrastructure and containment solution specified. H. The ceiling of the HACS shall allow for hot aisle ducts, ceiling tiles, vertical risers and a fire actuated ceiling. The maximum velocity of air will be site specific with variable CFM dependent on site conditions. I. The ceiling shall also accommodate lighting, fire protection and alarm equipment as required. Penetrations for the equipment shall be provided by the HACS manufacture and the MEPFP equipment shall be provided by others. J. Provide a door such as Single Swing, Dual Swing (Café Style), or sliding, with a transparent window pane on each end of the HACS. The door shall have a clear window and no floor track or threshold. The door shall be mounted on a system integrated with the HACS. K. The HACS assembly shall be painted to match color and application of the owners preference form a standard pallet of colors provided by the manufacturer. L. The HACS shall have containment integrity to meet or exceed the maximum leakage performance stated in the specification. The Maximum leakage shall be no more than 3%. Leakage shall be measured as the amount of additional air supply to fulfill the full load capability of the containment at the rated pressure of H2O (0.25 Pa). (Example 4
5 HACS requires 20,000 CFM for full load, the maximum leakage air shall not exceed 600CFM). M. When the HACS is supported from roof supported structure, the HACS shall allow for up to 3 of vertical displacement from roof structure or hanging support structure. The 3 of vertical displacement will occur between components that are supported from the slab and components that are hung from the overhead structure. N. The HACS will the option of having emergency egress from inside the containment area to the ambient space when sliding type doors are utilized. O. The End or Row doors shall have the ability for position dry contacts. 2.4 FACTORY ASSEMBLY AND TESTS A.
