10 Location: Studio 8 For the past two years, Laura has periodically taught a Happy Accidents workshop at the AAC. This Part 2 class is an opportunity for former students of mixed media to dig deeper using the variety of tools and ideas from earlier workshops. In Part 1, we skimmed the surface of so many materials and methods. This is your chance to learn more about each material and not feel so overwhelmed with brand new techniques. We will practice what we have learned and experiment more. For example, there is always so much more to learn with gel medium and stencils! We will also enjoy the valuable teaching method of studying other artists who successfully use image transfer, paint, text, drawing and alternative art materials for layering. This class requires a prerequisite of Happy Accidents Part 1 or mixed media experience learned elsewhere. We will jump right into several projects using transfer methods, layering methods, alternate paint applications, and drawing approaches already introduced in a previous workshop.
