1 ART CLASSES FOR TEENS ADULTS ~ Fall I Session Sept 10 Oct 20 ~ Register 1 Week Prior to each Class ARTISTIC ADVENTURES FOR TEENS INSTRUCTOR: KIM DIBIASIO Tuesday: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16 7:30 pm 9:00 pm Ages: 12 to 18 Students will use their artistic creativity to complete exciting art projects exploring the elements, principles and concepts of art using history s masters as examples. Students will expand on their drawing skills using pencil and explore watercolors, inks, printmaking, acrylics, mixed media and more! All supplies included. Questions: kdibiasio@hotmail.com ACRYLIC PAINTING FOR TEENS/ADULTS INSTRUCTOR: KIM DIBIASIO Thursday: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18 10:00 pm 12:30 pm Ages: 15 to Adult Students will learn the basics of acrylic painting! We will explore techniques of underpainting, backgrounds, brush usage and color mixing while creating pleasing compositions. A variety of subjects will be painted, including still life, seascapes and landscapes. Step by step instructions are given using demonstration and constructive coaching. 2 COLORED PENCILS BASICS INSTRUCTOR: JANET SCHOPEN Tuesday: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16 4:00 pm 5:00 pm Ages: 18 to Adult If you like to color, this workshop teaches the foundational basics of colored pencils that makes them unique to other media. You will learn about layering, pressure, blending, highlight, and shadow. Different styles will be presented, and you can develop your own style in color. Supply list provided Questions: Gallery 1 hr class/6 week session - $90 INTERMEDIATE WATERCOLOR PAINTING INSTRUCTOR: SHARRON BURNS Monday: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15 10:00 am 11:30 am Ages: 18 to Adult Take the basics of watercolor painting to the next level and have fun doing it. 3 OIL PAINTING WORKSHOPS INSTRUCTOR: BETH HARVEY Saturday: 10/6, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/8, 12/15 1:00 pm 4:00 pm Ages: 15 to Adult Each workshop will focus on developing the skill to paint alla prima with oils; we will paint a particular kind of landscape or still life. Instructions will include laying out and maintaining the palette. Students will develop overall composition of lines and values and learn to use brush strokes in an effective way. Multiple classes are beneficial. We will explore composition, color mixing, preparation of surfaces and study classical artists work. Each student is encouraged to develop his/her own style. 4 WATERCOLORS INSTRUCTOR: MARTY STEWART Friday: 9/21, 9/28, 10/4, 1011, 10/18, 10/25 10:00 am 12:00 pm Ages: 18 to Adult Watercolor class for all levels: Learning color compliments, step by step instruction in the first lesson, then individual choice painting with instructive help. Critiques and demos. I like to help people with portraits, ocean waves, etc. teaching lots of new tricks, techniques, happy happenings in a fun medium to be sure! Learn how to take your camera off of automatic and control your camera in manual mode to create more technically sound and artistically pleasing images. Flash photography is also covered in detail. 5 ADOBE LIGHTROOM I BASIC ORGANIZING & EDITING FUNDAMENTALS - SAMPLER Thursday: 9/20 or 10/11 6:30 pm 8:30 pm Ages: 16 to Adult Take your digital photography to the next level! In this Sampler class, you will learn how import, organize and edit your digital images using Adobe Lightroom. We will review the basic skills necessary to jump starting your knowledge and get you off and running with this program. You will learn to export your edited images and get them ready for either print or web. 2 hr class / 1 day - $30 ADOBE PHOTOSHOP INTRO I BASIC EDITING SKILLS - SAMPLER Thursday: 10/4 6:30 pm 8:30 pm Ages: 16 to Adult Take your digital photography to the next level! In this Sampler class, you will learn how edit your digital images using Adobe Photoshop. We will cover the more conventional skills to enhance your images. You will also be introduced to working with layers and layer masks. You will learn how to properly crop and size your images to get them ready for either print or web use. 2 hr class / 1 day - $30 Contact your instructor with questions or supply list required for class!
