All wool, tulle, embellishments, etc. will be provided. This class will offer students the opportunity to use a combination of loosely structured group therapy and the creative process to discuss and reflect on their current, past, and ideal sense of self. We will focus on overcoming negative self-image and associations from the past, as well as healthy ways of coping with change and adversity. Suitable for all skill levels, this class offers basic instruction and background information about self-portraiture. Students will ideally take away from the class: an inspiring work of art that serves as a reminder of their resilience and ability to live freely in the present; art as a means of self-expression; discussion of coping skills for challenging emotions, and a basic knowledge of the elements of self-portraits. Wet Felting: Flower, Beads & Balls Instructor: Linda Larsen Have fun exploring your creativity as you learn to make felt flowers, beads and balls. They may be used to make decorative pins, headbands, jewelry or in flower arrangements. Come join the fun, relaxing class!
