Cnducted analysis f mbile services available in wrld universities prves their diversity and independence between each ther. There is still n experience in develping cmplex f mbile services based n unified technlgy fr such type f rganizatins. The article reviews a structured list f mbile services based n the analysis f services currently in use as well as intrduces new specific services which can be implemented nly based n mbile devices management (MDM) system usage. The article cntains qualitative assessment f services relevance amng three fcus grups (students, teachers and administrative staff). Prpsed is a cmplex f mbile services fr higher educatin. INTRODUCTION Wrld trends analysis in mbile technlgies usage prves their vast integratin int educatin in rder t slve miscellaneus educatinal tasks and prvide remte access t general and specific netwrk resurces and services f institutin. Amng mbile services supprted by leading universities the mst ppular are the fllwing: mbile versin f institutin web-site, mbile access t educatinal curses, timetable and e-library resurces f the university, and miscellaneus infrmatin and help services. Extreme increase in amunt f applicatins and data which can be accessed with a wide variety f mbile devices makes deplying f Mbile Device Management (MDM) system very effective. MDM includes sftware that prvides the fllwing functins: sftware distributin, plicy management, inventry management, security management and service management fr smartphnes and media tablets [1]. Nt nly des MDM manage mbile devices f the rganizatin, but it als includes centralized functinal system f data and applicatins security and management, as well as centralized system f infrmatin functins. MDM systems ften supprt usage f emplyees wn devices t access crprate infrmatin resurces and services f rganizatin. Such apprach is knwn as BYOD (Bring Yur Own Device). S, MDM based system tgether with BYOD apprach allws t intrduce new frmats f educatinal wrk, supprts new ways f using university areas, and helps t slve mdern scientific, educatinal and creative tasks.

2 In this wrk, we prpse t develp a university infrmatin system based n MDM and BYOD. Our wrk is divided int several phases. During the first phase, we cmpse a classificatin f services fr educatin based n a review f existing university infrmatin systems. Then, we expand the classificatin with new services that becme technically pssible with MDM. We evaluate the services, including newly suggested, with a study with representatives frm three fcus grups, namely students, teachers, and administrative staff members. Finally, we discuss implementatin f such a system. Thus, the cntributins f this paper are: 1) the prpsed apprach t build university infrmatin system based n MDM, 2) the classificatin f mbile services fr educatin, including new MDM based services, and 3) the qualitative evaluatin f services. This rest f the paper is structured as fllws. In the next sectin, we discuss backgrund and related wrk. Then, we present a classificatin f mbile services fr educatin, that includes bth existing services and new MDM based services we prpse. After that, we present a study cnducted t qualitatively assess the services, bth existing and new. Then, we discuss hw the services culd be implemented with MDM, and cnclude the paper. II. RELATED WORK Nwadays, mbile and e-learning services are prvided in many universities, e.g., Massachusetts Institute f Technlgy, Stanfrd University, Harvard University, Oakland University, University f Leeds, University at Buffal, MGIMO University. Mbile services in educatin are als an active tpic in research. Several recent papers discuss use f mbile learning services in higher educatin [4, 5, 6, 7]. In [4], authrs discuss a cncept f m-learning, i.e., e- learning using mbile devices. Based n a study where students ranked different services, they cnclude abut the mst ppular services and the mst imprtant cncerns. They discuss requirements and limitatins f m-learning and claim that this apprach will becme mre ppular in future. In [5], authrs cnducted a survey f staff and students t study hw mbile services facilitate higher educatin prcesses. In [2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11] authrs analyze use f mbile services in areas ther than educatin. In [2], authrs discuss emergence and evlutin f mbile services in varius areas. As a result f their analysis, they present a taxnmy f mbile services based n 230 research papers. In [3], authrs prvide an extensive review f recent publicatins fcused n using wn mbile devices in infrmatin systems in higher educatin. They specially address issues related t plicy creatin, data security, user educatin and mbile learning. Use f mbile services is studied in ther areas, such as turism [8], medicine [9], public safety [10], and plice [11]. Lcatin services are als discussed in the literature. Fr example, in [6] authrs prvide a classificatin f mbile lcatin services and discuss their future develpment. In [7], authrs prvide an verview f current practices f mbile services in educatin and discuss their pssible benefits and cncerns. This wrk is financially supprted by Ministry f Science and Educatin f Russian Federatin (state cntract 02.G frm ).

3 III. MOBILE SERVICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION Mbile technlgies are cnsidered as a perspective trend f imprving infrmatin technlgies in educatin. A ppular apprach fr a university IT-strategy is based n service mdel a structured set f services perfrming miscellaneus functins and available fr different grups f users (students, teachers, administrative staff). Analysis f such catalgues fr different universities prves that sets f services fr each university are individual. In this paper, we aim t create a structured set f services which can be realized using mdern mbile technlgies, including MDM systems. During the first phase, we made a classificatin f existing mbile services. The prcess was rganized as fllws. First, we cllected the data abut services used in several leading universities, namely Massachusetts Institute f Technlgy, Stanfrd university, Harvard university, Oakland University, University f Leeds, University at Buffal, MGIMO-University. After that, we analysed existing classificatins f mbile services in educatin [3, 4, 5, 6, 7]. Then, we lked use f mbile services in ther areas [8, 9, 10, 11]. In the secnd phase, we aimed t expand the classificatin with new services supprted by MDM. Mst imprtantly, MDM allws t access and cntrl the devices directly. Fr example, it is pssible t receive technical data, such as lcatin data. Als, it is pssible t cntrl the access t netwrk and infrmatin resurces. We discussed these new technical pssibilities with students, teachers and administrative staff f Infrmatin Technlgies and Cntrl Institute within Saint-Petersburg State Plytechnic University. We added new services appeared during the discussin int the classificatin made n the previus step. A. Classificatin f services The resulting classificatin is a set f 9 grups f services presented belw. Newly prpsed services are marked with (New). General services: mbile versin f university web-site; clients fr mbile platfrms (Andrid, iphne/ipad, Windws Mbile/Phne, etc.) prviding access t university resurces anytime and anywhere; Infrmatin services: Library services: registratin in the library; searching thrugh the catalgue; nline materials bking; access t educatinal and infrmatin materials. Educatinal services: access t infrmatin and educatinal resurces (audi and vide curses, presentatins, etc.); web cnferences; catalgues f studying prgrams and curses; registratin t curses (seminars, lectures, faculties, etc.), exams and nline tests. Help services: events calendar; phne bk; cntact infrmatin n departments, administrative ffices, etc; emergency infrmatin.

4 Cmmunicatin services: ; scial media services; audi and vide cnferences; scial netwrks; verall user grups ntificatins and infrmatin messages. Access t mbile applicatins: adding applicatin stres (Apple AppStre, Ggle Play, etc.) and educatinal cntent int the structure f educatinal and research prcedures t prvide remte access t netwrk educatinal and research resurces with ptins t dwnlad, play, rate, edit them and t share experience in their usage. Services based n gelcatin: Indicating lcatin n interactive map f the university: lcatin n the campus area; pssible ways f directins thrugh the campus area with prviding the mst ptimal ne t get frm ne specific place t anther ne; nearby transprt schedule; indicating the nearest places f interest n the campus area: classrms (with crrespnding classes timetable), libraries, student hstels, places t eat; parking infrmatin etc. Mbile banking: services based n using mbile device as identificatin and paying tl: Payment fr services, catering, facilities, etc.; Persnal balance management; Reprts n transactins. Lcatin based services (including bth utdr and indr psitining): (New) Students, prfessrs and staff registratin n classes r meetings; (New) Autmated detectin f persns attending the activity in prgress (lectin, seminar, meeting, etc.); Autmated dwnlad f infrmatin materials, dcuments and text messages n the device; Optin t edit interactive map by adding persnal infrmatin: accidents n the campus area, places where unplanned meetings r ther activities are held, etc. Integrating lcatin services with scial netwrks: using wrldwide ppular scial netwrks students, prfessrs r ther staff can jin int virtual grups and track the lcatin f grups members with mbile devices. Equipment access: services based n pssible access t miscellaneus devices within crprate netwrk: (New) Remte wireless access t miscellaneus devices (printers, prjectrs, multimedia devices), measuring/displayable equipment in educatinal and research wrk.

IV. EVALUATION A. Study Descriptin During the third phase, we cnducted a questinnaire study t qualitatively evaluate the services and their relevance. The aim pf the study was t understand if hw peple frm ptential fcus grups (students, teachers, and administrative staff members) rate the prpsed services. We included the existing services in the questinnaire as a reference pint. The questinnaire was cnducted in the Institute f Cmputing and Cntrl within Saint-Petersburg State Plytechnical University. We recruited respndents frm three ptential fcus grups (20 students, 15 teachers, 11 administrative staff members). Each respndent received a list f services presented abve and was asked t select services they wuld likely use. Practically, they had t assign a pririty level (High, Medium, r Lw) t each service. B. Study Results We calculated an average pririty level fr each grup f services. Summarized results are shwn in the Table 1. As shwn in the table fr each grup f services at least ne fcus grup has high (H) level f its pririty. TABLE I. 6 Cmmnly knwn services, such a general services, infrmatin services, cmmunicatin services, and access t mbile applicatins, have high pririty levels. Amng newly prpsed services, the lcatin based and equipment access services are the mst relevant. In general, fr each service type there is at least ne fcus grup that ranked it as high pririty service. V. IMPLEMENTATION BASED ON MDM SYSTEM Sme services frm the list can be implemented (and has already been implemented in sme universities) as independent services. Hwever implementing services frm the grups Equipment access, Services based n access t mbile devices functins, partly frm the grups Mbile banking, Lcatin based services is nly pssible within MDM system. Integratin f MDM and BYOD appraches while determining university infrmatizatin strategy aimed t allw students, prfessrs and administrative staff using their wn mbile devices (smart phnes, tablets, etc.) t access internet and general and specific remte resurces and services f the university prvides t MDM system the functins f infrmatin security, mbile devices management, data and applicatins access. Implementatin f grups f services listed abve is pssible within MDM system which is aimed t slve the fllwing technical and rganizatin tasks: detect the type and technical capabilities f cnnected devices; apply grup plicies t set ptins and restrictins n mbile device; manage the mbile device access t crprate resurces; lck sensrs f mbile device (micrphne, camera); lck and unlck mbile devices; infrmatin utput frm mbile devices t netwrk equipment and displays; data exchange with user management systems authrized remval f crprate infrmatin (in case f mbile device was lst r stlen, fr example); autmatic lcatin detectin f cnnected mbile devices; centralized distributin f crprate applicatins. MDM allws unifying the cnsidered services by prviding single security system and persnified access t applicatins, public infrmatin and cmmunicatin services. Als MDM makes it pssible t implement services frm the grups Mbile banking, Lcatin based services, Equipment access, Services based n access t mbile devices functins.

CONCLUSIONS Usage f MDM and BYOD technlgies allws t develp ttally functinal cmplex f mbile services fr universities including relevant services f the fllwing grups: Infrmatin services, Cmmunicatin services, Access t mbile applicatins, Services based n gelcatin, Mbile banking, Lcatin based services, Equipment access, Services based n access t mbile devices functins.
