Then learn to be the Boss of your Sphero by programming it to get through various maze challenges. Earn a badge for each level. World of Robotics: Dash and Dot (T - $35.00) Come make friends with our new robots, Dash and Dot. You'll have a lot of fun exploring the worlds of robots and programming together with them. You'll write an original story, then program Dash and Dot to perform your story to others. Digital Citizenship and Cybersecurity for Kids (T - $35.00) Do you use technology such as a computer, ipad, tablet, smart phones, or a connected gaming console? Then come to Digital Citizenship to learn proper netiquette while using your devices. Why is this important? We all should be good citizens in the real world and in the cyber world. We

7 also should know about how to keep safe while in the digital world. We'll learn about cybersecurity, netiquette and ways to use technology in positive, safe ways. Home Automation with PC Duino (IPB - $140.00) Have you ever dreamed of making a burglar alarm to keep a pesky brother or sister out of your room? Well, dream no longer! In this class, you'll learn how to automate your room and home using the PC Duino. You'll use sensors, cameras, wi-fi and more to design and build our own system. You will program this system using the Python programming language. 3D Reverse Engineering (IPB - $140.00) Students will use intermediate level CAD software Google Sketchup to develop their team building skills and use the design thinking process to reverse engineer a large puzzle cube. The students will also learn about what makes a 3D printer work and the uses for them in the real world. Security Systems with Raspberry Pi (IPB - $140.00) Do you ever wonder which members of your family might come into your room while you are away at school? Now you can catch them in action and have proof that they were in your room by building your own security camera. In this class we will be using the Raspberry Pi 3 to build a security camera and program it using python to capture pictures and videos of any sibling who dares to enter your room. You will design your own case and print it on a 3-D printer. Virtual Reality Taster (T - $35.00) What's real? What's not? Explore the basics of virtual reality by using a Vive and a Hololens. Then try out making your own Mixed Reality experience by combining pictures you take with a phone and a cardboard VR viewer (the viewer you get to keep!) TinkerCAD (T - $35.00) This class will introduce you to the world of computer-aided design (CAD), a drafting software engineers use to design products before they build or 3D print them. We will use TinkerCAD to design and set-up 3D prints for simple toys and jewelry. NAO Taster (T - $35.00) Have fun working with our humanoid NAO robots and get a taste of the future. Program one of our five NAOs (Caroline, Steve, Sophie, Optimus and Phineas) using Choregraphe, an easy-to-use drag-and-drop programming language. You'll make your NAO walk, talk, dance and more! Intro to Electronics (T - $35.00) Learn the basics of electronics in this class. You'll learn how electricity works and build circuits that light up LEDs. How Cool is That (HCIT)? Self-propelled Cars (T - $35.00) Learn and apply basics of physics while building, testing and racing self-propelled cars. You'll explore Newton's Third Law of Motion, see how friction and air pressure affect cars, and learn about the relationship between speed, time and velocity, all while designing and racing your own car! *Note: Recommended for ages 7-8. How Cool is That (HCIT)? Carousels (T - $35.00) If you've been to a zoo, you've probably

8 been on a carousel. How do these work? How do the animals go up and down? You'll learn the secrets of the trade (like how wheels and axles worked, or how triangles are used by engineers) by building your own carousel and sharing it with your friends. *Note: Recommended for ages 7-8. How Cool is That (HCIT)? Light Sabers (T - $35.00) Use the force, Gyn, to build your own lightsaber to defeat the Empire. Lightsabers are basically flashlights. You'll learn about how electronics makes flashlights and light sabers work through circuits, conductors and insulators. *Note: Recommended for ages 7-8. How Cool is That (HCIT)? Rocket Launch (T - $35.00) OK - now you have your light saber. How will you get off of Tatooine so you can go battle the new Death Star? With a rocket, of course! Apply principles of aerodynamics (like balance, air pressure and airflow) to build and test your own original rocket. *Note: Recommended for ages 7-8. Aquatic Robotics/Union Reservoir (IPB - $140.00) Have you ever wondered what happens under the surface at Union Reservoir? Do fish sleep? Are there any buildings? Imagine building an aquatic robot that can find answers to these questions. In this class, we ll use the basics of robotics and engineering to build original, water-based robots. We then will use our OPEN ROV robot to explore and learn about Union Reservoir. We will use various tools to design, build and operate robotic crafts as well as to identify and study specific aspects of the Union Reservoir ecosystem.
