1 Studio Choice Challenge Options in a variety of studio centers. Earn 150 or more by the END of the challenge. (think 10 per day)
2 Challenge Objective Students will be self-directed learners who are engaged in artistic activities of their choice. Students will be problem-solvers, figuring out how to do projects on their own, using daily demos, book, computer and peer resources. Ask 3 before me!
3 Challenge Grading Students will earn for each project based on both effort and quality. Ms. G is the final judge on the number of earned. Students will also be graded on daily participation and reflection of learning. No Evidence = No!
4 Procedures Beginning of Period Sit at the center you want to use for the day. Once chairs are filled up that center is FULL! Write on your calendar the demo and the center for the day. Give full attention to the DEMO of the DAY. Work on one or more projects in that center. End of Period Write name, date, challenge center and level on back of all 2-D art. Keep projects in your sketchbook or make a challenge folder. Clean up center by putting all supplies away NEATLY. Get challenge signed off by GAUB when completed.
5 Center Expectations You must stay at the same center all period. No switching in the same day. Waiting lists for popular centers will be made as necessary. If there is a waiting list, you can only do one project, then you must rotate out to allow others the use of the center. Centers that are left messy by any period, will be CLOSED to all periods!
