2 SCIENCE, TECH, ENGINEERING TECH CAMPS MINECRAFT MODDING 101 (Gr 3-5) $196 If your child is Minecraft obsessed and dreams of making their own swords, blocks and mobs then this is the camp for them! Kids will learn basic programming logic through activities both on and off the computer. They will learn how to edit and do simple programming in Java to create their own Minecraft Mod that they will be able to play, upload, and share with others. Don t worry, they won t spend the whole day on the computer (although they d like too!) We have lots of other fun and minecrafty activities to keep their day activeand balanced. JAVA GAME PROGRAMMING (Gr 4-5) $256 Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, color and moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of Pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it! BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER (Gr 2-5) $389 In this hands-on investigation, kids will learn how a computer works by building a simple Raspberry Pi computer. Once the building is done, the fun continues while kids create their own versions of simple games and code in Minecraft on the computer they just built. We will have plenty of time off the computer as well when kids have the chance to learn and test game design and programming through active play. Kids keep their Raspberry Pi mini computer with all their projects on it as well as a better understanding of computers, programming logic and game design. ADVANCED MINECRAFT MODDING (Gr 3-5) $256 Tried our Minecraft Modding 101 class and got the basics down? Then the Advanced Minecraft Modding camp is for you! This camp builds on the basics plus adds so much more to your java programming repertoire! Program more mods, ghasts, endo-creatures and super cool mod boats. You are only limited by your imagination!

3 ENGINEERING CAMPS JR. LEGO MINECRAFT ROBOTICS (Gr 1-5) $256 Jr. engineers and Lego builders will love this camp by bringing Star Wars to life with Lego! Build a motorized walking creeper, a terrifying Ghast, or anything Minecrafty that your imagination can think of! This project-based camp combines the basic format of our engineering themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will use the Systems Engineering V to design, plan and explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. (Please note that this camp is a basics robotics introduction and does not use mindstorms). JR. LEGO STAR WARS ROBOTICS (Gr 1-5) $256 Junior engineers will learn about and build engineering principles and elements such as motors, catapults, unitized construction, wheel/axles, levers, and more as they build Star Wars themed projects like X-Wings, R2-units, energy catapults, defense turrets, fortresses and space settlements (Please note that this camp is a basics robotics introduction and does not use mindstorms). BUILD, TEST AND BATTLE (Gr K-5) $256 Each day kids will use the systems engineering process to design, create, and test amazing builds such as cars, air rockets, and bridges. The fun gets bigger and wilder when the camp splits into teams to build ballistics projects. This year build a life-size slingshot. We will split into teams and lay seige with water balloons to test our amazing builds! (Girls don t be afraid to sign up - Gizmo and Gadget Girls can do anything!) BUILD YOUR OWN ADIRONDACK CHAIR (Gr 2-5) $235 What could be more suited to summer than an adirondack chair! In this camp you will use the systems engineering process to plan, design, then build just the right size adirondack chair for you. During this process kids will not only be taught how to use tools safely but also develop their woodworking skills by using real tools and learning all about the designing process. This is perfect for that summer fun in your backyard!

4 ENGINEERING CAMPS cont BUILD YOUR OWN SKATEBOARD (Gr 2-5) $389 A popular classic! Kids will design and build their own skateboards. They will build it entirely from scratch by starting out with just a plank of wood. They will decide on either a classic or longboard style that includes the wheels and trucks, as well as learn the parts and tools for fixing and adjusting. Kids will be using table saws, routers, jigsaws and of course the fun part - sanding! This week is a blast! It is what summer fun is all about! After making their board they will be able to take it for a spin so don t forget helmet & pads! Price includes all materials including, wood, wheels, trucks and hardware! BUILD YOUR OWN BILLY CART - RACER (Gr 2-5) $309 In this awesome camp kids will be able to be kids and design and build their own billy cart/gravity racer (which will include a brake!) As for all our Gizmos & Gadgets Camps the kids will build it entirely from the ground up - from learning the engineering process to measuring, cutting their wood using real tools and assembling it all together! Of course the most important part is the testing phase! Don t forget your helmets and pads! This is going to be one incredible week you won t want to miss out on! Science CAMP EXPLODING SCIENCE (Gr K-5) $256 These are some science experiments that kids just can t get enough of - the ooey, gooey, exploding and fizzing kind is what we are talking about! There will be plenty of ooohs, aaahs, and iiiiicks in this camp where we will don our lab coats and use real scientific instruments and the scientific method to conduct fun and exciting experiments. The more it explodes, the more fun will be had! This camp features all new experiments that will be sure to entice!

5 ART CAMP BIG MESSY ART CAMP (Gr K-5) $210 OH YES! We said Big and Messy! Let your creative child feel free to immerse themselves from head to toe in those art projects you d never dare to do in your house. Pendulum painting, large scale paper mache sculptures, splat painting with food and household items, and giant spin art are a few examples of the fun in store for kids in this camp! INNOVATIVE ART (Gr K-5) $256 Work both sides of your brain! Create some amazing forms of art while learning about ground-breaking artists as well as cultures that are different to ours! At this camp you will learn about the science as well as engineering (yes!) that makes their creations possible. A camera made from a match box that really works as well process the film from the photos, light up creations from sewing circuits (yes sewing!), and art bots that do all the drawing for you just to name a few of the cool projects you will discover in this camp! Maker CAMP STAR WARS MAKER CAMP (Gr K-5) $256 Star Wars and Maker - Who wouldn t love this camp! Kids will be inspired by Star Wars and create working lightsabers, x-wing fighters and design their own cool costumes (that light up!) During this week they will be inspired by all things Star Wars while forging their own special way in a galaxy far, far away! Girls - this camp is not just for boys - come and let your creative side explode! LIFE-SIZE BOARD GAMES MAKER CAMP (Gr K-5) $256 Ever wanted to make a giant life-size connect four or foosball table? Well now you can! Get your hard hats on and design your own backyard board game! During the week kids will be challenged to think outside the box and create other Maker projects such as animatronics, LED throwies and other cool builds! We will even have a human hungry hippo challenge! GO WILD CREATIONS (Gr K-5) $256 Have a budding artisan at home that loves to create? Cool artisan skills meet modern day projects in this camp with beautiful results. No foam door hangers here, these are art projects you ll want to keep. Kids will enjoy wood art using real tools, 3D canvas art, giant town tower installations, spray paint graffiti, pour paint method to emulate famous artists, bath bombs that explode and more!
