E- paper is tw types i.e., nn-flexible and flexible. flexible displays uses plastic substrates and plastic electrnics fr the display backplane. Think f a technlgy that culd prvide yu with a large display screen which uses less battery pwer then the backlight f yur cell phne. Think f a revlutin which will replace CRT, LCD AND TFT in few years and change the way we view ur daily digital gizms. This is e-paper screen f the future.. Intrductin WHAT IS E-PAPER? E-paper is als called electrnic paper r electrnic ink display. the first e-paper was develped in 1974 s by nichlas k sheridn at Xerx pal alt research center. An electrnic paper display is a display that pssesses : A paper like high appearance Ultra-lw pwer cnsumptin A thin and light frm Gives the viewer and experience f reading frm paper, while having the pwer f updatable infrmatin. E-paper have a wide viewing angle. Gyricn is used nly black and white display. Electrnic paper was develped in the seventies by Xerx. made f flexible material, requiring ultra pwer cnsumptin, cheap t manufacture, and mst imprtantly, easy and cnvenient t read. the limitatin f mnitrs which is backlight hard n the human eye, while electrnic paper reflects light just like nrmal paper.electrnic paper als has the ptential t be flexible because it is made f plastic. WORKING When a vltage is applied acrss tw plates, the particles will migrate electrically t the plate bearing the ppsite charge frm that n the particles. The electrdes are charged t repel the ink t the surface, effectively turning them n and ff. When particles are lcated at the fnt side f display, it appears white. When particles are lcated at rear side f the display, it appears dark. The display frms visible images by rearranging charged particles using an applied electric filed.
