3 GRAVITY FED Gravity fed shades, als knwn as Rman fld shades, are typically used n slped rfs, but can als be utilized in vertical wall applicatins. These shades are individually sized t fit between the rafters f an interir glass rf and are perated with a mtr r manual pull crd in a Rman fld style. Numerus materials and clrs are available. Wide span cvering tw t fur bays may be available depending n fabric, layut, and design. Gravity fed shades are perable in rectangular sectins and fixed in angled crners. They are als munted at the ridge, and rll dwn t the eave. Gravity fed shades can be used in mist envirnments. 4 WIDE SPAN Wide span shades extend frm eave t eave r fllw the slpe f a glass structure. The blinds are designed in a Rman fld style with varius fabric, clr, and texture ptins. When extended, the shades trap heat abve them, allwing the living space t remain cler. On cl days, the shades can be retracted t increase slar heat gain. These Rman fld style blinds are fully perable. Fr mst materials, the suggested maximum panel size is 9 feet wide and 20 feet lng. 5 MANUAL ROLLER Manual rller shades are designed t be pulled by hand against the eave line. When pulled taut, the shade will click and hld in place. This tensin system is a cheaper shade ptin and extremely easy t perate in any applicatin. 6 PLEATED Pleated shades can be used in the rf and vertical walls f a glass structure. The pleats prvide a visual pattern and sften daylight fr interir spaces. These shades can be perated with manual pulls r mtrized ptins, and each shade is perated independently. CONFIGURATIONS Mtr Lcatin These pleated blinds are fully perable, including angled crners. They are generally munted at the eave and pull upwards tward the ridge, except fr angled crners where the shades will perate inversely. Fabric selectins are dependent upn interir envirnment. Pleated shades are an excellent ptin fr structures with lng slpes, and are suitable fr extremely humid envirnments. 7 PINOLEUM Pinleum blinds are traditinally used with cnservatries, sunrms, and skylights. The blinds are cmprised f individual wden reeds that are wven tgether t diffuse light. The shade system lets light in while still reducing heat and glare. Pinleum blinds are available as manual r mtrized units, which perate in a Rman fld style. The fully perable units can accmmdate mst angled crners. They are generally munted at the eave and mve upwards tward the ridge, but this may vary, depending upn rf cnfiguratin. Pinleum blinds shuld nt be used in humid envirnments, like pl enclsures r greenhuses, due t the ptential f water damage. 8 SOLAR R Slar R blinds are typically used t increase energy efficiency and cntrl temperature inside a space. The smth shades have an aluminum backing which reflects slar rays away frm the structure t limit slar heat gain. When perated, the shades mve n a rller int a cassette via the pulley system. Mtrized ptins are als available. Slar R blinds are suitable fr slped and vertical applicatins. In mst cases, rller style blinds are fully perable, including angled crners. 11 FIXED EXTERIOR Fixed exterir shades are cnstructed frm a 1 inch by 1 inch extrusin with a remvable H channel. These shades feature exterir grade fabric, but still must be remved in the winter t avid damage that may be caused by snw and ice. Special care must be taken when maintaining exterir fixed shades. Glass can nt be cleaned withut first remving the shade system. Leaves, dirt, and ther debris will als gather between the shades and the glass, s regular maintenance will be required t prevent the build up f unwanted material. Exterir shades limit the heat that enters a glazed structure, as ppsed t gathering it between the shades and glass like many internal shading ptins. 15 SCREEN OPTIONS FOLDING SCREENS Flding screens are hinged and fld accrdin-style, mimicking the peratin f flding glass walls. Operable swing dr panels can be integrated int the units. Flding screens can be used t create an utdr screen rm t enjy nature withut bthersme insects. SLIDING SCREENS Sliding screens are generally used n large penings, mst cmmnly n the exterir f sliding glass drs. The panels f this system can be pcketed int a wall cavity and be either center split r stack t the left r right when fully pen. SCREEN SWING DOORS Screen swing drs are available fr bth terrace and French drs. The screen swing dr is cnstructed frm an aluminum frame that mimics the sightlines f ur glazed swing drs. Handle selectins can als be matched t the glazed dr. Flding Screens FIXED SCREENS Fixed screens are used n casement, awning, hpper, tilt turn, and sliding glass windws.
