On Saturday 16 th August, the print sectin f the East Rand Super Circuit was judged in Springs. On behalf f the cmmittee, we wuld like t cnvey ur thanks t the fllwing peple fr their assistance in manning the Benni judging statin : Margaret Single Owen Single Ditta Arntt Mike Fxtn Shane Els A special thanks t t Laeticia Kenny, Amy and Reg Ansell and Dave Grdn fr assisting with the judging. We are all waiting with baited breath fr the utcme and the results. IT S CERPS time CERPS fr ur new members (a full explanatin will be dne by Paula at the next meeting) is an annual interclub cmpetitin between all phtgraphic clubs n the East Rand. The cmpetitin was started in 1980 and is indeed ne f the mst prestigius events held during the year. The cmpetitin is tugh as we g up against sme f the strngest phtgraphy clubs in the cuntry. If yu area print wrker and yu have received a COM r Gld award please bring yur prints alng t the next meeting and give t Lyn fr cnsideratin. We wuld like t appeal t yu all t cme alng and supprt the club at the even which will be held n 18 Octber, additinal infrmatin will be supplied by Paula at the next meeting SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS PRINT SUBMISSIONS & REQUIREMENTS Mnchrme r Clur Prints Hand printed prints (using ptical/chemical printing prcesses), cmmercially printed (machine) prints r digital prints (generated frm cmputer utput) frm 152mm x 203mm (6 x 8 ) (excluding the munt) up t 406mm x 508mm (16 x 20 ) (including the munt) are acceptable. All wrk including prcessing but excluding munting must be the riginal wrk f the authr. In the case f cmmercial prints, prcessing and printing must be dne by a cmmercial finishing labratry under the directin f the authr. There will be n separatin f prints based n methd f prductin fr Club cmpetitins. Hand, Cmmercial and Digital prints will be judged tgether as ne sectin. Authrs are hwever advised t adhere t the individual rules when entering Inter-club and Saln cmpetitin. The Authr s name and title f the print must appear n the back f the munt in the tp right hand crner, with an arrw pinting upward t indicate the crrect rientatin f the image.

Tw Stars t Three Stars The member must btain furteen (14) gld awards r Cm and 60 club pints. Three Stars t Fur Stars The member must btain twenty (20) gld awards in at least fur versatile sectin and 80 club pints Fur Stars t Five Stars The member must gain thirty (30) gld awards plus 120 club pints plus 20 saln acceptances (natinal r internatinal). In additin the member must have served the club in sme capacity.
