4 Fun Classes from Tote Bags- Pepper Corral This wonderful tote bag is made on a pre-printed grid and goes together quite easily. Use your scraps or plan a specific color palette. Sat., Mar. 24, 31, Mimbres Blue-Lisa Fryxell This wonderful Mimbres design basket is completely paper pieced and comes together in triangular sections. 5 more Fun Classes & Block of the Month Clubs Oldies but Goodies BOM- Mrs. B, Goldie & Me Back around 1960, Goldie made a reproduction of a quilt first made in 1860 by Mrs. Bartlett. It was a lovely Baltimore style applique done in the traditional red and green pallet. As soon as I saw Goldie s version, I knew I had to make my own! I have drawn the blocks exactly as Goldie made them with only a few changes to reflect the original quilt. (Mrs. B s leaves were nicer I think) I also drafted 6 additional blocks to add to the original 12. My quilt has been modernized from Mrs. Bs original double-size. I mean really! Does anyone have a double bed anymore? (Actually we do, but,.. we don t sleep in it.) The applique is quite easy. We started our new project the first Saturday in October at the usual 10 am. Hope to see you for this one. We will meet the 1st Saturday of each month at. If the shop is closed on a holiday weekend first Sat., we will meet on the second Saturday at 1:00pm. This is a 2-year project. The fee for the first year is $75 Friday Free Sew! The Nancy/Nubin Pinapple Party has morphed into a day of free style sewing. Bring in whatever you are working on, whether its paper piecing or hand appliqué and sit and stitch. We ll solve all the problems of the world while we enjoy a little sewing time. There will be no charge for this social opportunity. We ve set aside the classroom on the 3rd Friday of each month, from -3pm. Nearly Insane BOM- Nancy and Pepper This blocks of the month project is perfect for all the Piecers out there. And, if you want a challenge, this is for you!! The quilt has 98 blocks, all 6 inches finished. Pepper and Nancy will show you how to master the piecing and demo various techniques including paper piecing. We ll be using a book by Liz Lois who reproduced an antique quilt. This project would be equally wonderful in batiks. We meet the 2 nd Saturday of each month, at. Fee for the BOM is $25 a year.
