1 RENOVATION OF THE FARMERS MARKET Reference Number: A D D E N D U M NO. 1 The following shall form part of the tender documents issued by the City of Guelph s Purchasing Department, June, NOTE: the acknowledgement of this addendum must be indicated on FT2R DELETE ADD Pages FT1 FT5 Pages FT1R FT5R (attached) DRAWINGS AND ANY RELATED INFORMATION The bidder shall verify that these Contract documents are complete and assume responsibility to view/download/print the drawings, specifications and any related information not sent with this document. You are required to go to the City s website where under the description of this contract you will find links to the drawings, specifications and any related information not sent with this document. Shortages shall be reported to the Engineer immediately. It will be your responsibility to make sure that when you print any drawings/sketches/etc that they are printed to scale. The following addition, deletions and amendments are hereby made a part of the Specifications and Drawings for the above referenced Contract. 2 CLARIFICATION Q1: Does the ceiling get painted? A1: No the ceiling does not get painted. Q2: Who is responsible for digging out the trench for the sanitary? A2: The mechanical contractor is responsible for digging out the trench and is to be included in the tender GC is responsible to patch the concrete as required. Q3: Who is responsible for the roof venting for the mechanical? A3: The Mechanical contractor is to provide the roof vents and the GC is to have the roofing company put them in. Q4: How man RFP panels are provided to the contractor? A4: As per the drawings there are 175 provided to the contractor including fasteners and dividing connections. ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS Specification Section Interior Specialties 1.1 Page 2; item 2.2. (List and Description of Product). Add to read: Approved alternates;.1 Stanley Magic Access Operator visible application..2 Dor-o-matic Benchmark Swing operator..3 SW100 By Besam Specification Section Painting 2.1 A note to be added that the interior brick veneer walls have been blasted by the owner and that portion of the surface preparation is not to be included in the contractors base bid. The patching of the brick veneer walls only will also be completed by the owner and not to be included in the contractors base bid. 2

3 ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS Reference Drawing SP-1 Site Plan 1.1 Remove the note on parking stalls 4 parking 2.75 m each c/w new painted parking lines. 1.2 Revise the note on the building from Existing and Addition)Area:1073 sqm to Existing building Area: 1040 sqm) 1.3 Remove the zoning requirements for the Designated accessible parking space size. Reference Drawing A-110 Floor Plan 2.1 Provide separate price for replacing the existing doors and frames for doors # 1, 2 in Vestibule 101 and doors 3 and 4 in Vestibule 102. Refer to SKA-01 attached for details. Item 3.0 Reference Drawing A-111 Floor Finish Plan 3.1 Remove the integral cove base for the both entrance Vestibules 101 and 102. Item 4.0 Reference Drawing A-401 Elevation and Miscellaneous Details 4.1 Include the noted new H.M. doors and frames c/w tempered safety glass in Separate Price. Item 5.0 Reference Drawing A-601 Schedules 5.1 Door and Frame Schedule: Provide a Separate Price as instructed in the Bid Form for replacing the existing doors and frames with new painted H.M. doors and frames c/ w tempered Safety Glass, for Doors # 1,2,3, Door and Frame Schedule: Provide a Separate Price as instructed in the Bid Form for providing Automatic Door Operator and Push Buttons for Doors # 3, and 4. Refer to Specification Section Interior Specialties for the approved Barrier Free Door Operator s Manufacturers. 5.3 Door Hardware Schedule: Provide as Separate Price for providing the new hardware for Doors # 1,2,3,4. Hardware to include: - Panic Device by: Von Duprin - Hinges by: Stanley Hinge Company - Closer by: Sargent - Kick Plate by: Sargent - Weather strips by: Sargent - Threshold by: Sargent 5.4 Refer to SKA-01 attached for details. 3

4 Item 6.0 Reference Drawing A-110 Floor Plan optional millwork and detail D To include Formica laminate countertop and the box is constructed from white melamine. The detail shows an example of a 2 section. To be in large sections as per the floor plan. Item 7.0 Reference Drawing A-111 Floor Finish Plan Saw Cutting 7.1 Note 8 to read All the required saw cutting in the existing concrete floor for drainage and end post partition insertion into floor to be completed by the Owner. Contractor is to provide pouring/patching of concrete flooring, and to prepare the floor to accept the new epoxy (Stonclad GS with Stontec System) finish. MECHANICAL (FOR YOUR REFERENCE TO BE INCLUDED IN MECHANICAL TENDER ) Reference Drawing M-101 and Attached Sketch ADM Revise floor plan to keep existing Office Area. 1.2 Revise Alternate Price for existing washrooms to remove and reinstall existing exhaust fans only. The removal and reinstallation of plumbing fixtures to be base bid. 1.3 Revise existing 3" diameter sanitary piping running through Units to be capped and abandoned in place. Refer to sketch ADM-1. Reference Drawing M-201 and Attached Sketch ADM Delete Alternate Price note for existing washrooms. Reinstallation of existing plumbing fixtures to be base bid. 2.2 Revise 1½" diameter sanitary piping serving S-1 in Unit 23 to suit revised floor plan as per ADM Delete items A and B in General Notes in their entirety. Item 3.0 Reference Drawing M-202 and Attached Sketch ADM Revise 1½" diameter hot and cold water piping serving S-1 in Unit 10 to be a rough-in only for future sink. Do NOT include fixtures for this unit. 3.2 Revise existing ½" diameter hot and cold water piping serving S-1 in Unit 23 to suit revised floor plan as per sketch ADM-3. Item 4.0 Reference Drawing M Revise item S-1 in plumbing fixture schedule as follows: Fixture manufacturer model: Glacier Bay W-GB No alternates. Fixture description: Single compartment, self-rimming vanity, vitreous china, integral overflow, undercoated, clamps. 4

Home Depot product number: Item 5.0 Reference Drawing M Delete item 25 from Part A of mechanical specification in its entirety. 5.2 Delete item 26 for Part A of mechanical specification in its entirety. 5.3 Revise item 6 from Part B of mechanical specification to include CPVC (Flow Guard) and PEX-a (Wirsbo/Uponor) as acceptable materials for domestic water piping in lieu of type L copper pipe. CPVC and PEX-a piping must meet the same inside dimensions of the equivalent trade size of type L copper pipe. If CPVC or PEX-a have a smaller inside diameter than type L copper, the next trade size larger must be used. 5.4 Revise item 6 from Part B of mechanical specification to include System 15 PVC as acceptable material for above grade sanitary and vent piping. ELECTRICAL Reference Drawing E101 and Attached Sketches ADE-1 and ADE In existing Office and Washroom Areas, revise devices and associated notes as per sketch ADE Add alternate price plan as per sketch ADE-2.
