1 Addendum #1 July 9, 2018 Addendum Number: 1 Project: WT White HS Additions and Renovations, Dallas ISD Bid Package: BP#215 Project Number: ORG 021 The following items modify the plans and specifications and shall become a part of the contract documents. ITEM NO. 1. GENERAL PRE-PROPOSAL SIGN IN SHEET The Pre-Proposal Sign-In sheet is included as Attachment #1. ITEM NO. 2. GENERAL EXISTING ROOF WARRANTY The existing roof warranty is held by GAF on the recently re-roofed areas. ITEM NO. 3. GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT INFORMATION The contractor is responsible for the Permit fees when picking up the building permit from the city. There are 6 building Permits in total. One for each addition, one for each phase of the site work, one for each floor of the renovation areas. The Predevelopment meeting credit should be applied to the permit by the city. Please contact the city directly if you have questions related to the costs of permitting. ITEM NO. 4. GENERAL ABATEMENT Building abatement will be performed and paid for by DISD appointed contractor. Do not include abatement costs in your proposal. The general contractor will coordinate with the abatement contractor. Do not use the AHEARA report as a scope for demolition pricing. ITEM NO. 5. GENERAL Revit Models Revit Models & DWGs will be made available for the contractor s reference after a contractor has been selected by the district after Digital release forms are signed. ITEM NO. 6. GENERAL Existing Drawings Existing drawings for the building may be collected at the city records office, or will be provided to contractor selected by the district for reference during construction if requested. GENERAL TORNADO SHELTER The owner will hire a material testing lab to perform third party inspections and testing related to the tornado shelter. The contractor should not include prices in their bid related to third party reviews and testing of general storm shelter construction. ITEM NO. 8. GENERAL DEMOLITION BLINDS Remove any existing blinds/roller shades in the existing building where new B blinds are being provided. ITEM NO. 9. SPECIFICATIONS SECTION TABLE OF CONTENTS 1. SPECIFICATIONS SECTION Tornado-resistant Overhead Coiling doors 1. CLARIFICATION: a. These doors are not required to be insulated, however the tested assembly must be ICC rated. b. These doors are powder coated to be selected from standard RAL powder coat selection chart. c. These doors are required to be Fire rated. ITEM NO. 16. SPECIFICATIONS SECTION Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefronts 1. Section 2.1-C and 2.2-C: ADD Tubelite Inc: as an Acceptable Manufacturer. 2. Section 1.4.A.2 Clarification for Mock-up Testing is not required to be performed on the mock-up assembly, unless mock up is planned to be part of the permanent building assembly. a.
