1 U of I Facilities Standards Updates for 2017 Updates to the U of I Facilities Standards will occur on a periodic basis (typically all standards will be reviewed for accuracy & completeness every 3 years), as noted by the LAST UPDATED date in the document footer or title block of a drawing. These updates shall be in force at the time of posting on the U of I Facilities Standards website. Standards in force at the time of an AE signed contract shall apply through the life of the project s contract. For convenience, updates will be incorporated into the main body of the Standards with revisions clearly shown. Notation used in the Updated Documents: Revised File: A vertical line in the margin of a document indicates that the material differs from the previous edition. This material should be reviewed carefully, as some requirements may have changed. Completely Revised File: Occasionally a standard will need to be completely or almost completely revised. There will not be a vertical line in the margin of a document indicating all the changes. The footer date will be updated and the document should be reviewed as a new standard. File: A new file within the General Requirements, General Guidelines, Technical Sections, Exhibits or Drawing Details directory will not have a vertical line.
