1 ADDENDUM #01 PROJECT: Saint Mary s University Student Centre Reorganization PROJECT N o : DATE: This Addendum shall be considered part of the specifications for the construction of this work and shall be read in conjunction with such specifications. All work mentioned herein shall be in addition to and shall supersede the specifications and shall be included in the contractor s tender. This Addendum shall be read in conjunction with drawings and Specifications ssued for Tender on April This Addendum has a total Twenty-Six (26) pages including attachments. 1. SPECFCATONS 1.1. Reference Specification Section nstructions to Bidders a. Ammend item 1.1 to read as follows: Bids signed, executed and dated will be received before 3:00pm local time as designated by the wall clock at the Facilities Management reception desk, on the 3rd day of May, 2018 at the following address: Saint Mary s University, Facilities Management McNally Building, Room MS Robie Street Halifax, NS B3H 3C Reference Specification Section Door Hardware a. Delete Schlage mortise lockset L9485 x indicator 626, and add Best mortise lock 45H-7-H-15S-626-T-T L/C b. Delete on Duprin electric strike 6216 FS - 630, and add Best electric strike ES5- D-DBM(hand) Reference Specification Section nterior Aluminum Doors and Frames a. Modify item to read: Alumicor FlushGlaze 800 b. Finish to be 0.4mil for Class 2 Clear Anodized c. Clarification: No fire ratings are required. Page 1 of 6

Reference Architectural Drawing A1.21 Reflected Ceiling Plan Level 3, issued for tender. a. Remove and reinstate portion of the ceiling in corridor where mechanical work is being completed. Refer to mechanical entilation drawings for extent Reference Architectural Sketches ASK-01 to ASK-03, attached a. nstall Exterior Window in conformance with attached details Reference Architectural Sketch ASK-04, Attached a. nstall Sliding Glass Door in accordance with attached details. b. Door to be Alumicor AlumiGlide Series or approved alternated. c. SLDNG GLASS DOOR i. Door Track: 1. Top and Bottom Track: Top track recessed, bottom track surface mounted, extruded aluminum single track profile: To ASTM B221, 6063 alloy with T6 temper. 2. Side Track: Single recess mounted, extruded aluminum track reinforced to take locking hardware: To ASTM B221, 6063 alloy with T6 temper. ii. Frame: Extruded aluminum with joints machined and fabricated to provide neat hairline joints. iii. Frame Finish: 0.4mil for Class 2 Clear Anodized iv. Glazing: 6 mm clear tempered glass. v. Rollers and guides: 1. Rollers: Ball bearing wheels in stainless steel, rail or stile mount as required. 2. Guides: Bronze and stainless steel, rail or stile mount as required 3. 3 d. DOOR HARDWARE i. Sliding Door Locks: 1. Hook bolt with two cylinders. 2. Acceptable material: Adams-Rite, MS Exterior cylinder with thumb turn. 4. Egress door hardware: Deadlock cylinder and thumbturn. 5. Acceptable material: Adams-Rite, MS Egress door pivot: Centre hung pivot hinges top and bottom. 7. Strike: Armoured strike. 8. Acceptable material: Adams-Rite, MS Handles: Flush mounted pull handles Refence Architectural Sketches ASK-05 to ASK-07, attached. a. Remove during demolition and reinstate when construction is complete all window coverings as indicated in the attached sketches. b. Supply and install Sun Project Moduline roller shades fully recessed within gypsum bulkhead at locations indicated on above architectural sketches. Supply and install blocking above gypsum bulkhead as required. Roller shade fabric color and opacity to match existing roller shades. Samples of finishes to be submitted to consultants for review Reference Drawing M-3 Level 3 Demolition and New entilation Layout, attached. a. Ad All thermostats shown within the new ventilation layout shall be new thermostats. Remove existing thermostat and extend/modify existing pneumatic tubing as required to suit installation of new thermostat. b. Provide additional transfer ducts as indicated Reference Drawing M-4 Level 4 Demolition and New entilation Layout, attached. a. All thermostats shown within the new ventilation layout shall be new thermostats. Add a new symbol with the following note "3 Data and 1 oice Outlet, consisting of a square backbox complete with a single gang tile ring, four category 6 RJ-45 Jacks and faceplate, installed in raceway system 18 A.F.F." Reference Drawing E-3 Level 3,4 & 5 Power and Communications Plan a. Add a new Electrical Note "Note 5: Provide and install in wall A outlets as per new detail 10/E5. Coordinate final location of display screen with Architect/Engineer prior to rough-in." b. Change the electrical note 1's on level 5 to Note 5 (per above). c. Add a new Electrical Note "Note 6: Provide and install new dual channel raceway from the accessible ceiling space equal to DS4000 Series Dual Channel" at computer stations near grid line 4. d. Added two symbols at computer stations to identify data requirements. e. Change Connectrac outlets on partial level 4 to raceway outlets (per above) f. dentified location of communication room in the basement (near grid line E3) g. nclude for Ten (10) total new data drops (5 locations x 2 drops) in the ceiling space for future wireless access points throughout the renovation areas (evenly distributed). Final placement to be determined by SMU TSS. h. Supply & nstall a fully functional nurse call system equivalent to Mircom EC-300 to monitor washrooms SC303 & SC306. i. The system to have a 20 LED annunciator, EC dome light above each washroom doors, EC pull cord c/w LED inside each washroom to be located by the toilets. Bottom of cord to be flush with the top of the toilet seat. ii. Main panel to be located in Fred Smither s Centre, coordinate final location on site with SMU representative. iii. Mircom Nurse Call system to be interconnected with DSC NEO security panel by Stanley Security. Page 4 of 6

The data room is in the basement of the Student Centre near grid line E3. All voice and data jacks in the building terminate in this room Reference all nterior Design Drawings a. All surfaces inside and outside the millwork along with shelves are to be plastic laminate. No melamine will be accepted Reference Architectural Door schedule a.
