Since then it has grown steadily into the thriving village it is today. Situated adjacent to the major A31, it has excellent communication links to the motorway system. The railway station in the town is on the picturesque and historic Watercress Line which links to the national rail network at Alton, the next stop eastwards along this line. This nearby town has good shopping facilities including well-known chains, while Four Marks itself has local shops and convenience stores.
