The latter include the impressive, contemporary Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, a venue offering a wide range of events and entertainment, Buckinghamshire County Museum and Roald Dahl Children s Gallery, and Queen s Park Arts Centre for arts and crafts workshops and its own Limelight Theatre. There is also an Odeon cinema in the town. Provision for sports includes Aqua ale Fitness and Swimming Centre, with indoor and outdoor pools and much more. It is set in ale Park, together with tennis courts, a skate park, bowls green and other amenities. The internationally famous Stoke Mandeville Stadium, just south of the town centre, is wellequipped for able-bodied and disabled users. There are several other gyms and swimming pools in the area. Shopping in Aylesbury is a pleasure, with the modern retail areas with their boutique shops contrasting with the old town conservation area. A traditional market is held on three days a week and there is a monthly farmers market.
