No need to wait to join, just check availability for the day and venue for you per 3 hour session if you book a block of 4 ( 28.00). Pay as You Go is 3.00 per hour, minimum of 2 hours. *W = Wombwell *M = Mapplewell Please note there are no tutors at these sessions but help and advice is available if the shop isn t too busy! These sessions are not recommended for complete beginners why not let us help you to get started on one of our other classes first?

If you haven t touched a machine for years and are wanting to pick up again, are a complete beginner or simply keen to learn to be a dressmaker then this is the class for you! Over 4 weeks you will cover the following topics: Envelope Cushion, Tote Bag/Bunting, Dressmaking, Children s Clothes Patchwork Quilting Essentials with Wombwell & Mapplewell Tuesday & Thursday 6-9pm Mapplewell Wednesday 6.00pm 9pm Wombwell 40 block x 4 or PAYG Project based suitable for anyone with a desire to improve their Patchwork & Quilting Skills. Book blocks of 4 to work on developing your skills with a variety of knowledge and expertise from our Tutor s. We have lots of samples to inspire you including bags, quilts, cushions and table runners.

3 * New Patchwork for Beginners with Wombwell 45 block x 6 Are you new to Patchwork & Quilting? Then this class is perfect for you. Start with a simple cushion then move on to develop your skills with this lovely Lucky Stars Quilt. You will learn how to use the basic tools of quilting, the rotary cutter and rulers. As you progress through the quilt making process we will work on techniques that will assist you in completing your quilt from start to finish. Full or ½ Day Workshops WOMBWELL Let s Get Organised Bag of the Month Club ( 15.00) Dates: Saturday 1 st April, 6 th May, 10 th June, 1st July pm A monthly class to work on a variety of ByAnnie Bags at your own pace. Please note this class is not always about a finished product in the timescales given but a chance to master some of the techniques and useful skills for the By Annie bags. Including installing zippers, creating zippers by adding pulls, secrets to sewing beautiful bindings, and sewing with vinyl and mesh to name a few. Time to work on your current bag with fellow bag enthusiasts! Junior Patchwork & Quilting with Rosemary ( 10.00) Age 8+ Dates: Saturday 1 st April, 6 th May, 10 th June, 1 st July 2pm 4pm A new group meeting monthly to learn the art of Patchwork and Quilting. Come and learn the traditional crafts of patchwork and quilting in lovely surroundings with patient teachers who would love to share their experience pm

4 Bloc Loc Rulers Demo and Do Sessions with Angela and Marilyn ( 20.00) Dates: Sunday 9 th April 11.00pm 3.00pm Bloc-loc rulers come in many shapes and sizes. They enable you to square up accurate half square triangles, make precise log cabin blocks, perfect drunkards path blocks and so much more. Each ruler has a channel which locks on to the seam allowance to enable you to cut and trim accurately. There is no ruler rock or slippage and, what's more, cutting is safer as very little pressure is required. If you would like to learn more, make your blocks more accurate, or try out these amazing rulers, then come along to our Demo & Do Day: Absolute Beginners Sewing with Emily (Fabric included) Dates: Saturday 15 th April 10.00am 12.30pm (AM) and 1.30pm 4.00pm This is a great class with Emily to get you started on the path to sewing glory numbers are kept small for individual attention. On this absolute Beginner s class, get sewing machine savvy in this 2.5 hour class and leave with enough knowledge to confidently make your own projects at home! In this one off class you will learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine along with the basic stitching techniques you will need. During the class you will make a simple cushion to take home with you and have everything you need to refer to in the future. This course will provide you with the confidence needed to happily use your sewing machine for future projects.

5 Bon Voyage Travel Bag with Rosemary (Inc.Original ByAnnie Pattern) 15% off all purchases fabric, vinyl, zips etc. Dates: Saturday 15 th April 9.30am 4.00pm For all you ByAnnie fans or bag enthusiast join Rosemary on a full day workshop with one of her fabulous patterns. A classical tote bag with lots of features such as 2 outside pockets, 3 inside pockets, and a hanging zippered pocket for items you wish to secure inside your bag. The top of this pattern has instructions for an easy to install zipper that can be laid flat against the bag. There is also a removable see through zippered project bag that would be great for makeup! Finished size is 12 1/2 H x 14 W x 4 D and the project bag is 10 H x 13 W. Quilting Bee (Block of the Month) with Bev Dates: Saturday 22 nd April, 13 th May, 17 th June and 15 th July 9.30am or 1.30pm- 4.30pm A continuation of our popular monthly group meeting to work on a fabulous block per month. Lots of new skills for you to learn and this quilts uses Quilt as You Go Method. Quilt in a Day with Charming Lap Quilt with Arlene (Charm pack & fabric to make top inc) Dates: Sunday 23 rd April, 10.30am 4.00pm A quick class to introduce beginners to the joys of patchwork & quilting using a pre-cut of 5 squares. Completing will depend on your abilities, however you will be well on your way to having the top done in a day whilst having fun along the way

6 Spring Flower Delight Quilt with Marilyn per day Dates: Saturday 29th April, 10.00am 4.00pm & Saturday 27 th May, 10.00am 4.00pm A classic quilt with Marilyn over 2 sessions and a great way of using up those scraps and also Fat Quarter friendly! A fantastic heirloom quilt with piecing, appliqué and hand sewing techniques. One not to be missed. Stupendous Stitchery Cushion with Rosemary Dates: Sunday 30th April, 10.30am 4.00pm A fabulous day to learn how to incorporate all kinds of stitching in to your work whether embellishing a quilt or adding you a garment. Techniques include, thread couching. Decorative machine stitching and hand embroidery. Your finished work will be made into a cushion. Chicken Doorstop or Cat/pig T-Cosy with Jo P Dates: Sunday 7th May, 10.30am 4.00pm Let s get crafty with either a chicken doorstop or quirky Cat or pig T-Cosy. If you are a passionate sewer or a new starter looking to discover a new hobby then this is the class for you! Stitch Drawing with Marilyn Dates: Sunday 14 th May, 10.30am 4.00pm A very popular course with Marilyn come and have some fun with free machine embroidery and create something unique! Learn this on trend technique to bring life to your projects. Discover everything you need to know about free machine embroidery to get started. Say hello to doodling and sketchy stitching and learn how to applique simple items that will allow you to add decoration to your clothes/children s clothes/bags and so much more.

7 Tuffet Weekender back! with Rosemary (2 days Tuition ) kit ( costs TBC) + material Reqd. Dates: Saturday 20th May, pm & Sunday 21 st May pm Tuffets are a touch of whimsy for your home that blend with all decors and bridge the gap between design and function. During the first session, learn to sew a beautiful Tuffet cover. During the second session, turn that cover into an upholstered footstool. Come to class with (64) 2 x 21 strips in fabrics of your choice along with the other supplies on your Supply List. A Tuffet Finishing Kit includes a furniture quality, 17 diameter wood round, drilled and sanded, upholstery foam, 18 circle/ 6 deep, batting 40 square, half dome 2 1/2 button form, t nuts and gathering cords. This Finishing Kit cost is in addition to your class fee and supplies to make 1 Tuffet. You will need to be a Confident Beginner and beyond that includes a working knowledge of a sewing machine Please note, class fees do not include patterns or materials. Our Tuffet Kits are pre made up before the class. Please be sure to obtain your supplies prior to your class as there is not time built into the class for shopping. You will take home a completed Tuffet at the end of your second session! Memory Bear with Jane (Free Funky Factory Pattern) Dates: Sunday 28th May, 10.30am 4.00pm Learn how to make a lovely patchwork bear this teddy bear pattern is un-jointed and the arms and legs are sewn into the body pieces. This means the bear is a 'sitting bear' and the arms and legs aren't

8 movable but it makes the teddy bear easy to make as there are no complicated joints! A great way to transform your child's preloved clothing into an everlasting keepsake toy. We will give you instructions after the class on how to do this on the day it is easier to make a prototype in cotton fabrics. Well worth the effort and a FREE pattern too to take away! Beatrice Apron with Jo P (pattern included) Dates: Saturday 3 rd June, 10.00am 4.00pm A brilliant Beatrice Apron is a great starter for beginner dressmakers or those who are looking to try something new. It is a great cover-all type of garment. There are no darts as it is a very loose fitting garment and designed to be worn over a T- shirt or sweatshirt, and the cross over at the back is enough to prevent the back gaping open. The large curved patch pockets are bound at the top edge. Mexican Star Quilt with Arlene Dates: Sunday 4th June, 10.30am 4.00pm Learn how to make a simple block look dimensional through curved strip piecing. Arlene will show this technique and how to be creative to get curves by turning triangle edges back. Sew come along and get creative! Mariners Compass with Marilyn Dates: Sunday 11 th June, 10.30am 4.00pm This block is a simplified Mariners Compass block using Foundation piecing techniques. It will include discussing how fabric choices and placement can affect the overall appearance. One on your To do List?

9 Craft Bag with Jane (All materials included) Dates: Sunday 18th June, 10.30am 4.00pm Already proving popular this craft bag class with Jane is a special offer and includes all material! Very good for beginners of those who just can t resist a bag. All abilities welcome suitable for 10+. Places fill fast so BOOK NOW Introduction to Applique with Marilyn Dates: Saturday 24th June, 10.00am 1.00pm A purely skills based workshop giving you the opportunity to try out different applique techniques so that you can find the one that feels right for you. Using both hand and machine applique methods you will build a sampler covering prepared edge, raw edge and bonded applique. You ll be able to refer to this again and again as you move onto new projects. Simple Clasp Purses with Marilyn Dates: Saturday 24th June, 1.30am 4.30pm Come along and learn how to make a lovely simple clasp purse. Quilting on your Domestic Machine with Rosemary Dates: Sunday 25th June, 10.30am 4.00pm Rosemary is a big advocate of quilting on your home machine. In this class she will share her knowledge on how to get the best out your own machine and not to be afraid to use it in your own quilting!

Dates: Every 2 nd Wednesday in the month Starts Wednesday 12 th April This is Lewis Ryan (Lewy). Lewy loves knitting and has an addiction to yarn, so much so he has given up the day job to pursue this passion through his business Manknit. So why not join him on our Monthly Knit & Knatter at The Bolthole Café all welcome. Sewing After School (SAS): Thursday 4:00-6:00PM* (may arrive at 3:30PM) 40 per 4 week block Ages A fun weekly session with Emily designed to cover all the basics of sewing. Students complete simple to more advanced projects as their skills grow. New to sewing students begin with sewing machine basics while making a cushion, a bag and then garments. Classes are formed in 4 week sessions and are multilevelled.

11 NEW Sewing sessions with Alison Greer Bagladybird at Oh Sew Sweet Introducing Alison Greer of Bagladybird Learn to Sew comes to Oh Sew Sweet with over 20 years of creative dressmaking and pattern drafting experience. A Fashion Graduate of the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, Alison has specialised in creating bespoke occasion wear in collaboration with a range of clients. Alison has been teaching dressmaking workshops and private lessons for over 18 months and is now bringing the wealth of her technical and creative experience to Oh Sew Sweet from May With a new range of stylish project based workshops aimed at beginners or those who want to increase their confidence and experience, Alison will take participants through a learning journey to develop their skills in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, creating fashionable, wearable clothes. Join Alison to Learn to Sew Your Own Project! 2nd Monday of every Month 12-3pm starts May You provide the pattern, fabric and other bits & bobs required (to the pattern specification), Alison will provide the advice, guidance & tools and together we ll get you going on your very own project of choice. You may have already started your project and have found yourself a bit stuck or you just need that extra bit of motivation to finish a pile of UFOs (Unfinished Objects), sign up come along and get the help & advice you need. Please get in touch to discuss your project in advance. The workshop is for dressmaking projects (clothes) only but can be for menswear, ladies or childrenswear. 12 Join Alison to Learn to Sew a Kimono Jacket. Saturday 27th May 10am -4pm You will walk away with your beautiful made by you, for you Kimono Jacket, a unique garment that you can be proud to wear, that you made yourself. To give you the widest choice and allow you to create something even more personal, fabric is not included for this workshop. (However full guidance will be given on fabric requirements on booking.) Fabric requirements: 1.75m of 150cm (60 ) or 1.75m of 115cm (45 ) wide woven fabric. You will create your Kimono Jacket, made just for you from your own fabric. It is ideal to wear as evening wear or as casual with jeans dependent on the fabric used and how you style your Kimono Jacket. Patterns are made to the nearest size to your measurements, please provide your measurements on booking (bust, waist & hips). Join Alison to Learn to Sew Casual Trousers Saturday 24th June 10am -4pm You will walk away with your beautiful made by you, for you Casual Trousers, a unique garment that you can be proud that you made yourself. You will create your casual trousers, made just for you, with elasticated /drawstring waist and pockets. Patterns are made to the nearest size to your measurements, please provide your measurements on booking (bust, waist & hips). 13 Join Alison to Learn to Sew Girl s Dresses Saturday 29th July 10am -4pm We will be making little girl's dresses. (Ages new born to 11) Learn to sew a dress for the little lady in your life, made just for her with love. To give you the widest choice and allow you to create something even more personal, fabric is not included for this workshop. (However full guidance will be given on fabric requirements on booking.) Fabric requirements: 1m of 115cm (45 ) or 150cm (60") wide fabric. Light to medium weight woven fabric is suitable, eg, cottons, denim, cord. You will create your Little Girl's dress, made just for her from your own fabric with a pattern made to your child's measurements. Please provide measurements on booking. Enquiries can also be made on Facebook Please note when making a booking it is assumed that our terms and conditions have been read and approved. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be added, please subscribe via our website. Materials only included where stated, please feel free to bring your own fabric if you wish to do so. Any deposit taken is NON refundable and NON transferable! It is advisable to bring your own cottons, bobbins, scissors etc. to all classes. Please check beforehand for a full list of requirement s per class Some equipment is available within classes such as rotary cutters and mats, however there is often not enough to go around a full class so you will therefore be required to share. We like to encourage you to bring your own machine but please ensure it is in full working order. Our Janome Machines are available to hire, please check availability before class
