I love spring, love summer. but when it gets cold I get to sit on the couch with a quilt over my lap and a project in my hands without garden guilt. I know you know what I mean. We have LOTS of fun, new projects planned! I think you ll find several that you ll want to make with me!! So sit back, look through the newsletter, then come see me! Cindi We have opened the new Retreat Center in Soap Lake! We ve had four groups in since the opening - with lots of great reviews and every group has re-booked for an additional stay. We have several hosted retreats planned (see page 5). You can check out pictures of our new digs on the website. Join us for our Christmas Open House!! November 27th and 28th 9-5pm We have been planning all year for the special gifts, kit packaging and unique items that are only available THIS weekend! Funky Chickens BOM!!!! 60 x 78 The appeal of this quilt is the abundance of bright colors and Sandy s fabulous artwork. Our kits are going to be similar to the image: bright fabrics with lots of textures but also some black and white in each block. So if you are ready to walk on the wild side it will only cost you $16/month! This is all fusible web. Kits include full sized, reversed patterns and all* fabrics. Pick it up monthly or we can mail it to you for just $3.99/month The elves are getting ready for our annual Christmas event: Twelve Days of Christmas New, interesting items with fabulous pricing. To play along, you just need to santa@fabricpatch.net before November 28th. Santa will you with details. The first night is December 1st, last is the 16th and pickup is Friday or Saturday (or we can mail your package). Remember all you have to do is read your every night at 5pm, if you would like Santa to stuff your stocking with the special of the day, just him back. If you are not interested, do nothing. No obligation. Is there such a thing as too many pincushions? Of course not! Join us for Pincushion Club. Once a month $ Class includes complete pattern, kit, instruction and cookies! *includes the block border, but the black sashing and the final border will be available in a finishing kit.

2 Time to start another one of Sue Spargo s fabulous wool projects!! In Full Bloom is a fun folk art pattern that will be made in brightly colored wools and quilters velvet on neutral backgrounds. There is ribbon appliqué, bead work, embroidery stitches and more. If you are done with your birds, this is for you. If you want to learn about wool appliqué, this is for you. If you want to learn embellishment techniques, this is for you. We will complete just one block a month for 11 months, border on the 12th month. Each month will include a complete block kit, any special beads, ribbons, specialty threads, hands on instruction, gifts and door prizes. Complete kit price is just $19/month. Book is required. 3 Farmers Wife Appliqué and patchwork quilt pattern Finished size - 84" x 104" PAGE 3 We have been the Prairie Women class for two years. Now it s time to settle down into the calm world of a Farmer s Wife. You can make this quilt from reproduction or 30 s fabrics, or any genre you d like. It s a great quilt for using up that stash!!! We will meet on the first Wednesday of the month, from 6pm to 7:30pm. We will review six blocks each month, share vintage treasures, old recipes, good tea and receive an additional featured quilt pattern each month. Each class will have Fat Quarter Bingo, door prizes and notion reviews. No need to bring machines. Brianna is continuing to host the Machine Embroidery Club. This class is once a month, every second Friday at 10am for 1 hour. Class is only $10 and includes a new machine embroidery technique, a pattern and the supplies for a unique, seasonal project. Each class is demonstration and lecture only, so there is no need to lug your heavy machine to class. No need to have a specific brand of embroidery machine. No supplies needed. You will learn techniques for quick bags, gifts, toys, advent calendars and more!! Six month series, $10/class. $40 if you prepay for entire series. She is also starting another Machine Embroidery Block of the Month! This class immediately follows embroidery Club and will take only 9 months. The flowers on the 50" square quilt are all done with embroidery thread to create the designs. Appliquéd leaves, fringed centers and covered buttons complete the blocks. The circle blocks have a look of rick rack to finish off the appliquéd center. All appliqué is done in the hoop! You can complete the quilt with three styles of pieced borders. Formatted 5" x 7" design field (small hoop) for: Art V5.0, Dst, Exp, Hus, Jef, Pes, VIP & VP3 Class fee includes all handouts, instruction and the complete embroidery CD. Nine months for just $70. (kits will be available). Halloweenies is McKenna Ryan s newest fusible masterpiece. Her designs are always so detailed and interesting. You can hang the blocks individually or put them together in a quilt. The whole project is simple fusible web technique (tracing, cutting, ironing). We will have a basic fusible web class, offered October 26th at two different times. In this class we will make the first block to get you started, then you can work through the blocks as quickly as you would like, or join us on our 4th Saturday BOM Open Sew if you need extra help or if you just want to come and hang out. You will only have one block finished before Halloween this year but you have plenty of time to get it all done for next year!! Flakey Friends Wool, Flannel and Cotton 52 x 52 This is one of the cutest winter quilts I ve ever seen!! I can t wait to make the quilt and make some matching placemats, pillows and towels with Sarah s darling snowmen designs. This project can be hand appliquéd or fused. Each of the ten blocks are kitted with all of the necessary wool, flannel, cotton, floss and buttons. Kits will be ready October 20th. You can make one a month for just $24/month, or, if you can t wait, you can purchase the entire kit and get started! All of the blocks are the same techniques, so after our first class (optional) on October 21st, you can pick it up and make it at home, stay for the 4th Saturday BOM Open Sew, or we can mail it to you for just $3.99/month.

All of the projects are complete kits with the pattern, and everything you need to make a special gift to brighten up your home or some one else's! Each month will feature a new seasonal pattern. You can take the project(s) home and make them up quick enough, or you can bring them to our 4th Saturday Open Sew. Open Sew is hosted by an instructor (usually Cindi). Bring your machine and a sack lunch, then learn a new technique on a quick seasonal design and enjoy the sense of accomplishment with a COMPLETED project you take home with you!!! Perfect for a girls day out! Select from a variety of Monthly projects including: Pillow Projects: A multitude of sizes and styles with a variety of simple techniques easy to perfect on a small project. All necessary fabrics and embellishments included. Only $ Towel Time: A 100% cotton Dunroven towel with an original pattern for a seasonal design, all of the necessary fabric, and any fusible web or buttons required. Only $10 each!! Wee Ones: These adorable wool flags are complete and quick!! They are addicting!! They are just a quick blanket stitch, then hang them on your little flag stand to enjoy all month!! Only $9.99 for the pattern, fabric and wool!! Purse Strings: Who isn t on that quest for the perfect purse?!? We ll help you find it! From grocery bags, wallets and notion totes to coin purses and diaper bags. Each bag is a new opportunity to learn zippers, or vinyl lining or even the new clasp closures. Kits have varied pricing but are all inclusive from fabric to notions. THE GYPSY WIFE BY JEN KINGWELL 59 X 68 This is a stunning example of color and texture. The rich combination of mixed blocks and print fabrics make this a quilt that is just fun to look at! It is scrappy exuberance from the land down under! This class is designed to turn your stash into a fun scrappy quilt (or quilts)... This is a great class for new quilters. You'll get instruction and lots of practice in all aspects of quilt-making basics. A fun quilt for first timers. Terrific quilt for the seasoned quilter! Jen's Gypsy Wife pattern helps control the scrappy chaos by breaking the quilt down into ten sections. We'll help you assess and select your scraps and construct a section during each class session. We'll offer insights into the magic Jen employs to combine hundreds of scraps into a quilt you can look at without crossing your eyes; we'll offer organizational tips for controlling your strips, blocks and scraps. Class begins November 7th, then will occur on the first Saturday of the month. 10am - 12:30 pm for 4 more months. Only $40 for complete series. Book is required. $5 QUILT STARTS IN NOVEMBER!!!!! $5 Quilt Time to start a new series! We will demonstrate two blocks per month for 9 months. You have to make one of the blocks, the other one is a bonus. Each month is a new technique. The techniques include bargello blocks, HST, QST, Cat s Cradle, Paperpiecing, appliqué, templates and more. The New York Beauty setting arc is included as a setting bonus with your paperpieced block patterns in month four. You will be able to make a nine block twin, a 13 block queen (pictured) or an 18 block king. Stop in for a set of rules and fabric requirements. Pay $5 to join, then every class and pattern will be free as long as you complete your block and come to class on time! Several door prizes at every class. Grand prize at last class. The styles, sizes and types of circles you can make is amazing. It s not just cutting circles then sewing them on. There is an attachment (works on all makes and models of machines) that actually holds your fabric and spins it for you sewing perfect circles with no hands! Amazing! You can quilt, embellish, piece. LOTS of possibilities. Brianna is offering this quilt class twice. One is a morning class and one is an evening, choose whichever time works best for you. WOMEN OF THE BIBLE This is an interesting sampler that can easily be completed by a beginner or by an experienced quilter that just wants to work on something new. Every two weeks you will receive (or pick up) your precut block and pattern featuring a historical reference and devotional reflection surrounding a featured woman in the Bible. The quilt consists of a mixture of 41 different 5, 10 and 15 blocks. All are reasonably simple blocks with excellent full page instructions (and did we mention pre-cut fabrics!). There will be three colorways available, bright batik, pastel cotton, or warm reproduction. Each complete block is only $2.99 ($3.50 if mailed). Proverbs 31:27 ANGEL CHORUS I love this quilt. I am going to make it in the batik kits we are cutting, but I want to make a 30 s version for a baby and a Christmas version for a gift. I am hoping for a cold, dark winter so I can get three blocks done every month this is quick enough I think I can! The blocks are just fusible appliqué. We have three different classes scheduled if you want to make one with us. Or just grab your kit! Kits are only $14/month. Each kit includes all fabric and the pattern for one angel. We have most of her current designs available on the website or in the shop. I love her drawings! Winter is the perfect time to start a quick embroidery project that you can enjoy all year!! These chickens feature seasonal images so each month you can hang a Mama Hen with a message! This is a 4 month BOM.
