And everyone who books will be able to take a copy home with them for free! Hanging Pewter Heart Saturday 13th January 1pm - 4pm 20 per person This month you can join Caroline from Pewter Concepts and make a hanging pewter heart. She will show you how to transfer your design onto pewter, emboss and stretch the metal, and then age and polish to create your own 3-dimensional masterpiece. Everything you need will be provided in the workshop including a choice of designs. It has spawned many different variations and designs beyond the shawl, now including blankets and throws and has been fused with other stitches like the granny stitch. This workshop will take you into the realms of reading a stitch chart (rather than a written pattern) and will familiarise you with the virus stitch so that you can use it to create your own shawl or other design. Workshop includes yarn to get you started, hook and printed chart. Twiddlemuffs help to ease agitation and calm the person s mood, as they can keep their hands and minds occupied. All donations will be made to a local organisation to help those affected by dementia.
