1 Workshops running every day: PROTEA TEAPOT WORKING WITH CLAY In this workshop you will start with a slip cast teapot and learn techniques related to clay, greenware, underglaze painting, sgraffito and more. Shape your own bird handle to add to the lid and learn how to paint your own Protea design using underglaze paints. Includes firing; completed teapot will need to be collected from The Seedpod Studio in Fourways. A lot of focus on cutting techniques to get exact cuts so you can piece together a beautiful mosaic that doesn't require grouting. 2 FRIDAY BEAUTIFUL LACY CUPCAKE This inspirational Lacy Cupcake workshop will give you all the necessary skills to create your own beautiful cupcake, which you can take home and share with your loved ones. Techniques that you will learn include; how to make edible lace, a 3D edible lace bow, an edible cupcake wrapper, painting on chocolate and so much more. This workshop is perfect for all from beginner cake decorators, through to sugarcrafters. HEART FLOWER POT This workshop will introduce you to Melinda s multilayer, multi-colour Stencil Sets in conjunction with the use of Stencil-Paint on a wooden plank board. You ll create a lovely tray and learn the technique of sticking paper on wood without creases. You ll also learn the use of Melinda s new Multi Layered Stencils and coloured Stencil- Paints. LANDSCAPE IN ACRYLICS Learn how to paint a simple landscape in acrylics on a canvas panel. The landscape will be pre-drawn, so you can relax and enjoy painting skies, mountains, fields and trees with a professional artist who will help you from start to finish. This workshop is presented by Ajay from Ajay s Art and is suitable for all skill levels. DAYDREAMING IN COLOUR Colouring in for grown-ups is a meditative and mindful practice where you are completely in the moment. While the basics of colouring-in are simple enough, there are many tips and tricks to help you create something special from the simplest drawing. In this workshop, presented by author Monique Day-Wilde, various colouring techniques will be demonstrated, using a range of media such as colour pencils, watercolour pencils, gel pens, blending sticks, etc. The colour wheel, mixing and blending colours and what colour schemes to use in your colouring projects will also be covered. Materials provided are: A greeting card printed on good quality cardstock, techniques worksheet, colour wheel worksheet, paper blenders, erasers, sharpeners, watercolour pencils (can be used dry or wet), and one or two other surprises! 2 of 5

3 SATURDAY SHWESHWE CLUTCH BAG Add some Afro-chic to your wardrobe with a funky Shweshwe clutch bag! Choose fabric to suit your style, and learn how to put together this must-have fashion accessory that s right on trend. LEARN TO PAINT WITH LIGHT & DARK This workshop will teach you some great techniques for painting with acrylic paints. We will show you how to use the correct light and dark combinations when you paint an object, consider mixing of colours and explore different backgrounds and styles of painting. Acrylic paints will be used which are fast drying and you will paint on a canvas panel. STORAGE UNDER A SHELF With this creative and fun-filled workshop we are going to rediscover the amazing possibilities recycling has to offer together with Tjhoko Paint. Pieces of pallet wood assembled in an L-shape will be painted in a distressed technique. We are going to paint, dry brush, emboss and ombré-wash glass jars and attach them to our shelf. We will finish our unique storage solution by adding a trendy door knob and an embellishment. Definitely a workshop not to miss! DECORATIVE MOSAIC BUNNY Create a fun décor item for your home or for someone special. In this workshop you will learn how to create a decorative mosaic bunny on A4 canvas using cutting techniques, shaving tiles and nipping. You will also make use of textured tiles to create your own unique art piece. This workshop is aimed at people that already know how to mosaic and is not suitable for beginners. FOLDED PAPER FLOWERS Learn interesting paper-folding techniques to make gorgeous flowers and embellish a gift bag, a napkin ring, a gift box which you will also fold yourself from patterned paper and a kirigami card. Tools such as punches, die-cutter, cutting mats, bonefolders, scissors etc. will be available and paper, brads, templates and other consumables provided. In this workshop you will craft a three dimensional tree from pre-made ceramic inserts combined with a landscape of beads and a painted background on a wooden A4 canvas. All materials that you need to complete this project will be supplied. MACRAME WALL HANGING Learn the art of Macramé during this workshop and make this fabulous wall hanging using Tarn and copper. Macramé is a very versatile craft and once you ve mastered it, you ll have loads of fun thinking up your next lot of projects.
