3 Craft 1: Foam Christmas Wreath - You will need - 2 sheets of Low-Medium Density Foam (Clark Rubber product) Acrylic paint (green & dark Green) Hook and 1 metre of string Craft glue Hole puncher Marking pencil Double sided tape Masking tape Ribbons, glitter and rhinestones White/Blank cardboard Coloured markers and pens (green, red, blue) Wreath templates (printed on A4 paper) Scissors or craft knife clarkrubber.com.au 3

4 Foam Christmas Wreath: What to do Step 1: PRINT THE TEMPLATE AND CUT OUT THE SHAPE Print out the wreath template attached to this craft book onto an A3 piece of paper, then carefully cut around it with scissors. Step 2: USE THE TRIMMED TEMPLATE TO CUT THE SHAPE OUT OF YOUR FOAM Using your trimmed template, mark the shape onto the dense foam by drawing around it with a marking pencil. Next, use your scissors to cut around the outline. You will need two wreathshaped foam pieces. Step 3: PAINT YOUR FOAM LAYERS GREEN Now it s time to paint your foam wreaths green. You ll want different shades on each layer, so paint the first one green, and the second one dark green. Step 4: CUT YOUR CARDBOARD LABEL While waiting for the green paint to dry, find the label template attached to this guide and trace it onto your white cardboard. Make sure you leave a 3-inch margin on the top edge of the label, as this will serve as a tab to hold onto the wreath later. clarkrubber.com.au 4

5 Step 5: ASSEMBLE YOUR PIECES Now that you have all the individual pieces, it s time to put them together! First take your cardboard label and glue the 3-inch tab onto the back of the light green foam wreath. When you ve done this, glue the dark green wreath onto the bottom of the light green wreath, making sure the label tab is resting between them. Place a book on top of it all and wait for the glue to dry. Step 6: DECORATE! Here comes the fun bit. With all the glue dry, remove the book and fill out your wreath with rhinestones and glitter to make it that extra bit festive. Be creative! Step 7: TIE A STRING ON IT AND PLACE IT ON YOUR DOOR Now that this is done, use your hole puncher to create two holes on the top edge of the wreath. Then, thread your ribbon through these holes so you can hang the wreath on your door. clarkrubber.com.au 5

6 Craft 2: DIY Snowy Diorama - You will need - A medium-sized jar Blue, white and green acrylic and glitter paint Water Some loose silver glitter Craft glue and duct/electrical tape Tiny plastic toy figurines and Christmas ornaments Ribbons clarkrubber.com.au 6

7 DIY Snowy Diorama: What to do Step 1: GLUE YOUR TINY FIGURINES ONTO THE JAR LID Take some small plastic figurines and glue them to the inside of your jar lid. You can get figurines from the dollar store or from broken tree ornaments. If you re using super glue, ask an adult to help you out! Step 2: FILL THE JAR WITH WATER AND MIX IN GLITTER Fill your jar up with water and mix in a good few shakes of glitter. Step 3: PUT THE LID ONTO THE JAR AND SEAL IT SHUT! It s time to close the jar. Make sure the glue is dry and your figurines are secure, then secure the lid on top of the jar. Next, tape it over to make sure there are no leaks! Step 4: DECORATE! When you turn the jar upside down, your figurines should finally be standing the right way up. But they need a backdrop to really bring the scene to life! Paint in buildings, bushes and trees onto the outside of the jar, but make sure you don t cover the figurines too much. 8 Craft 3: Reindeer Buddies - You will need - Medium-sized round plant pot (brown) Red furry pom poms Corrugated cardboard (from recycled boxes) Black and white construction paper Craft glue Wrapping paper (patterned) Clark Rubber - Crumb foam A pair of BBQ skewers Antler templates clarkrubber.com.au 8

9 Reindeer Buddies: What to do Step 1: GIVE YOUR POT A FACE! Start bringing your reindeer buddy to life by cutting out eyes from the black and white construction paper. Remember to cut the black paper into smaller shapes than the white, so it ll look like pupils. Next, glue on the red furry pom pom for the nose. If you want, you can also add some freckles and spots with extra black construction paper or a marker pen. Step 2: MAKE FUNKY ANTLERS Glue a square of patterned wrapping paper to your sheet of cardboard, making sure there are no air bubbles as you flatten it down. Then, take the antler template attached to this guide and draw a stencil on the patterned paper before carefully cutting it out. Make sure you do this twice, so your reindeer has both its antlers! Once you ve finished these, glue your BBQ Skewers onto the back of each antler. Step 3: FILL THE POT WITH PEELED FOAM Grab some loose crumb foam from Clark Rubber and fill your pot as if it were soil. Now take your antlers and stick them into the foam. Make sure they rest on the back portion of the pot, so it doesn t look like your reindeer s antlers are on its face. Step 4: STOCK IT WITH CHRISTMAS GOODIES! Make your reindeer buddy the guardian of the gifts this Christmas by placing it underneath the tree, amongst all the pressies. It could also be a funky table centrepiece, or a festive ornament for your kitchen counter or mantel. 10 Craft 4: Snowman Family - You will need - Clark Rubber Jumbo Pool Noodle Construction paper White acrylic paint Craft glue Markers Googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and pom poms Ribbons clarkrubber.com.au 10

11 Snowman Family: What to do Step 1: PAINT YOUR SNOWMEN WHITE To start this craft off, you ll need to cut out the pool noodles at around 4-5 inches (you can vary the height per family member) and paint them white. Step 2: MAKE A FACE Once the paint dries, start adding faces and features to your snowpeople by gluing on two googly eyes each and then painting an orange carrot nose and little dots for a mouth. Have fun with it! Maybe one snowperson is winking, another is laughing, and another has a moustache. Step 3: DRESS THEM UP FOR THE OCCASION! Dress your snowpeople to match the festive mood by using ribbons and construction paper! Ribbons make for excellent (and stylish) scarves, while the construction paper can be used as other items of clothing. Use your pipe cleaners and pom poms to make ear muffs by gluing a pom pom to either side of the snowperson s head, then bending the pipe cleaner over the top. Step 4: ARRANGE THEM INTO A SCENE Now that you have your snowman family sorted, you can place them right next to your gingerbread house and build a festive centrepiece on your dinner table! You could also huddle them beneath the Christmas tree to add a little character to the pile of presents, or you can cut extra ribbon to tie them to the tree itself as decorations. clarkrubber.com.au 11

13 Festive Christmas Throw Pillow: What to do Step 1: GO TO YOUR LOCAL CLARK RUBBER TO BUY FOAM The team at Clark Rubber can help you with this one! Famous for their custom cut foam, they ll be able to cut up a an 16 square with your foam of choice! You can choose from a medium to high density foam depending on what you prefer for this project.you can bring your pillowcase to help you decide on the foam size! While you re there, stop by and grab some peeled foam! Step 2: CUT SOME FELT UP FOR YOUR MAIN DESIGN Cut a Christmas Tree shape out of green felt, Use the tree template within this ebook to help you out! Then, place your tree in the middle of your pillow and pin it in place. Secure it on all sides. Step 3: SEW IT IN Using a needle and thread, stitch your felt onto the pillow case. You can sew around the general outline of the tree. Get your parent or guardian to help you out with this. You can also use some strong fabric glue for this as an easier alternative. Step 4: DECORATE YOUR TREE! Glue some felt circles and rhinestones around your tree to serve as Christmas ornaments to add a more detail to your design. Wait for it to dry. Step 5: WRAP YOUR FOAM WITH THE PEELED FOAM To give you pillow a little bit more volume, wrap your custom cut foam with the peeled foam. This will help round out the foam and makes it a little softer. Once you re ready you can place the foam inside your Christmas pillow! clarkrubber.com.au 13

14 Craft 6: Foam-Stamped Christmas Card - You will need - Clark Rubber Medium Density foam Scissors or craft knife A4 piece of Card Stock Acrylic paints Paint palette Markers Shape template clarkrubber.com.au 14

15 Foam-Stamped Christmas Card: What to do Step 1: CUT UP FOAM SHAPES To start things off, we need to cut up our Foam shapes. There s a template of all the shapes for you on the back of this ebook! Step 2: LAY OUT ALL THE PAINT YOU NEED Use a handy paint palette and squeeze out some paint for you to use. Green for the tree, red for the bobbles and yellow for the lights! Step 3: GET STAMPING! Fold your cardstock in half to make a blank greeting card. Now that you have a blank canvas, you can start stamping. Make a fabulous Christmas tree or make a festive winter scene. Once you ve blocked out the shapes, wait for the paint to dry. Step 4: ADD MORE DETAIL Once you ve let the paint dry, you can add more detail into your scene using markers. You can add fairy lights to your tree or add funky patterns to finish your masterpiece! Merry Christmas Step 5: SIGN, SEAL AND DELIVER IT!
