This is a fun and easy resist watercolor technique that will wow your friends and family. Curtain of Leaves Many artists have used trees as an inspiration for their work. Using pressed leaves and texture tools, students will make one-of-a-kind, double-sided monoprints. Learn how Matisse used scissors and color in his later works and create your own unique masterpiece. Native American Indian Story Learn about the Native Americans Indians who helped the pilgrims at their first Thanksgiving. Paint their story on a faux animal hide and try your hand at face painting inspired by actual Indian portraits. Out of This World Ornament Create a unique ornament using unexpected materials. Make a gift bag and card to complete this unusual present. Shell Ornament Gifts Make beautiful, one of a kind holiday ornaments using all types of materials. Each class lasts one morning or afternoon session and is purchased individually to meet your schedule. Cost per class is $25, except Snapology classes which are $50 each. Early morning drop off at 8 am is also available for $5 daily.

4 DECEMBER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS DECEMBER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS A Map of My Heart Art & Artful Gifts Students will create a personal valentine painting including words and images and people they love and value. We will also make a set of unique styrofoam printed cards with matching envelopes! Athletes In Action Transform images of athletes in motion by creating an optical illusion of repeating shapes and lines. Ball Point Engravings This low-tech method of engraving involves pressing a design into a drawing board by applying pressure through a paper positioned over it. The tool for engraving? A simple ball point pen! The engraving is then revealed by rubbing colorful art sticks over it. Multiple layers of engraving and color can be built up in one image. Card Crazy Express your creativity and imagination by designing fancy and fun cards for the holidays, Birthdays or any event in this hands-on class. Doodle-bots WOW! Make your very own Doodle-bot that draws all by itself and more! Fantasy Football Art Paint and draw athletes, based on the style of Ernie Barnes, pro football player turned pro painter. Gyotaku Learn the unique style of Japanese fish printing and create incredible images based on this ancient art form. Create a one of a kind gifts for family and friends. Design and craft new projects each workshop, including jewelry, picture frames, painted glass vases and more! Holly Jolly Collage Create a unique piece of artwork to deck the halls, assembling small paper images into a masterpiece that s inspired by an iconic holiday image. Illustrating Santa Claus Learn about Norman Rockwell s unique artistic styling of this iconic Christmas figure and design your own Santa Claus. Impressionist Painting Explore the painting techniques of the Impressionist masters, beginning with Monet, and create your own masterpiece. Create unique ornaments using recycled cards and paint real sand dollars for a festive coastal decoration. Let it Snow! Do you want to build a snowman? Do you want to make a snowflake? Do you want to paint some snow? This class is loaded with FROZEN fun. Medieval Art Shrines In the beautiful tradition of early medieval art, children will paint imagery and icons in the style of the pre-renaissance art. We will affix them to a painted decorative wooden shrine complete with a variety of mixed media including clay, beads, gems, and fibers. NOT A BOX! Come think outside the box and transform simple boxes into awesome works of art with loads of materials. Ornaments from the Ocean Design and create beautiful ornaments from local seashells. Paper, Paint, Pasta and Popsicle Sticks... Oh, My Use your imagination and unusual materials to create amazing art projects, some of which can be given as gifts. Party Like a Penguin! Come learn all about penguins. Create a cool penguin collage with snowy background, a penguin puppet and more. Follow the penguin foot prints to the party! Pointillist Painting Explore the painting techniques of the Pointillists, beginning with Seurat and Signac, and create your own masterpiece. Renaissance Nativity Scenes Paint nativity scenes based on the Renaissance style with a focus on Rembrandt. Seaside Holiday Using natural materials, students will create their own shell ornament. Make a gift bag and card to complete this unique present. Selfies Creating self-portraits is a snap with this easy technique! Facial proportions and features are traced onto clear film, then layered over a background of a student s own choosing a location where she or he would most like to take a selfie. Snapology Join Snapology as we design and create a holiday themed project using Lego bricks. Workshop includes a take home project. Stylized Space Travel Create a mixed media painting of outer space and the universe that s inspired by your favorite Sci-Fi TV shows and films. Learn super cool techniques to make beautiful marbleized, printed and dyed papers. Recreate Van Gogh s famous artwork, painting thick and expressive with acrylic paint. What a Relief? Learn to make cool dimensional designs with paper and foil relief techniques. Whimsical Angel Art In the beautiful style of Marc Chagall, students will create a whimsical angel using clay, tiny glass beads, enamels and more. We will also design a complimentary mosaic-like frame and mold wire for hanging.
