1 Class Calendar January 2013 April 2013 Quilt Basics Evening: (call for dates) Mondays (6:00 8:30) 5 Weeks Learn the basics of rotary cutting, accurate 1/4 piecing, proper border application, etc. Using Millie P s exclusive pattern teaching you log cabin, flying geese, stars, etc. Kits available. Pattern is included in cost. Pattern is included in cost. Cost: $45 Please register ahead for classes and reserve space with your credit card. Class Fees do not generally include pattern or fabric unless noted. Store credit will only be made if notification occurs one week prior to start of class. We reserve the right to cancel classes when # of registrants does not meet our minimum. If you are using one of our machines, you must provide bobbins and thread. If you are sewing on vinyl, you must provide walking foot. We have 8 machines available to use at no charge (registration required). Receive 10% off class supplies and 10% off regularly priced merchandise during your class hours!! Come learn basic embroidery stitches from Erin and then incorporate these stitches into a pattern of your choice. Millie P s will take you through some trendy projects even some that don t require sewing. Instructor: Angel Bourque Crazy Quilt: (all levels): January 29 th 6:00 8:30 Stack it up, slide it and shuffle your fabric. Fun to do with novelty fabrics and works well with brights or batiks. Bouillabaisse: March 23rd 9-4:00 Another stunner taught by Pam Pennington! A great pattern to use up those tons of scraps using as many or as few fabrics as you like. Stop in to see Pam s fabulous, simple strip piecing sample. Apple Core Quilt: March 19 th 6-9:00 Using the Apple Core Template from Country Fabrics, you will learn how to make this unique and stunning quilt. Eleanor Burns Day & Night: April 14 th 11:30-4:00 This Day & Night quilt pattern by Eleanor Burns is magical. The illusion is created by using the acrylic template included in the back of the book. You are taught to make a bonus project from the cutaways.

Instructor: Cindy Wiegel Trunk Shows: Clams: (2-Part Class): May 30 th & June 6 th (6-9:00) Pattern designer Pam Pennington will teach this 2-part class. Sample is in our classroom. Millie P s has approx. 4 trunk shows per year. Coming in the Spring is Su s Creations she will bring samples of what she has done and many are for sale during the show. Techniques/Projects: Binding: Part A: Attaching binding. Two Options: Feb. 11 th or March 18 th (6-8:30) Part B: Hand stitching. Two Options: Feb. 18 th or March 25 th (6-8:30) Take the stress out of doing binding - Ann will walk you through specific steps and share her techniques. Instructor: Ann Pollard Class Fee Each Part: $10 Machine Quilting: Feb. 19 th 6:00 9:00 Learn how to machine quilt using your sewing machine. Judi will teach you how to use techniques and tools. Kit Fee of $5.00 payable to instructor at time of class. Paper Piecing: Third Saturday of each month 1:00 4:00 See website for project. Instructor: Cindy Wiegel Retreats Sweet Retreats: We partner with Truffles & Tortes and Best Western in Coon Rapids. These retreats will be held 3 times a year. There is room for 22 at Millie P s and 16 at a Best Western. Fee includes classroom fee and all meals. Friday through Sunday.
