You will be working on Kim s beautiful botanical Plantings quilt project each month. You can make the whole quilt or use the blocks for a pillow, bag, etc. She will also have a small, fun project every month to work on our cameo software skills. GO! Blockbuster Quilt Block Fee: $27 Date/Time: Thurs, July 5, Aug 2 & Sept 6 from 10:30 1:30 Instructor: Donna Morrell Description: Block Busters series is a monthly class to explore interesting block creations using Studio 180 Tools and Techniques. The first three in the series works its way through some of the fundamental tools (Tucker Trimmer and Wing Clipper). You will be creating 12 blocks but other sizes will be discussed in class. String Pieced Pillow Date/Time: Tues, July 10 & 17 from 10:30 1:00 Description: This is a great pillow for anyone in your family! It can be used while watching TV or reading a book in bed. Choose your favorite fabrics or match fabric to a recent quilt project. Quilt-as-you-go piecing makes it durable. The back has a zipper that looks great! Modern Hand Embroidery Date/Time: Thurs, July 19, Aug 16 & Sept 20 from 6:00 8:30 Instructor: Joan Lipiec Description: This is a continuation of the hand embroidery project began in September Our goal is to make a cloth booklet of 18 hand embroidery stitches. The first class in the quarter offers newcomers the opportunity to create The Book. Returnees will be challenged with new stitches and/or combinations of stitches. Each session will also provide for a tools discussion, a small project and/or planning embellishment on a personal piece.

I will walk you through putting in two zippers. Candy Cane Quilt Date/Time: Sat, July 28 from 10:30 3:30 Instructor: Ingrid Bischoff Description: Its 6 months until Christmas! Let s turn the air down and do some fun embroidery, Claudia style! You will learn multi hooping and so much more while making this adorable Snowman and will want to do more of these amazing designs. You must be very comfortable with and know how to use your embroidery machine. This is not a class to learn how to use your machine. Ruler Wrap Sessions: Three Fee: $65 Date/Time: Organization Meeting, Tues, July 31 from 10:30 12:30 Class Tues, Aug 7, 14 & 21 from 10:30 2:30 Instructor: Diane Trenary Description: Organizers in two sizes may be hung or folded for travel. Straps secure the flap and an adjustable, detachable, padded carrying strap make the carrier easy to transport. Mesh pockets zip closed to keep rulers visible and in place, even when the bag is rolled up and carried. Pockets may be customized with divisions and extra zipper pulls to fit your preferences. Pot Holder & Microwave Bowls Date/Time: Wed, Aug 1 from 10:30 1:00 Instructor: Chelle Meyers Description: Come and have some fun making these two projects and stop burning your fingers! Jelly Roll Rug Date/Time: Fri, Aug 3 & 17 from 10:30 1:00 Description: This is a super fun project! Grab your favorite jelly roll or 42-2 ½ strips from your stash and get ready to make a pretty rug that measures 30 x 44 using. Want a bigger rug? Grab another jelly roll and keep on stitching. Nan will get you started in the first class and send you home to continue the prep work and bring you back to show you how to make the rug. Hello Sunshine Quilt Sessions: Three Fee: $58 Date/Time: Thurs, Aug 9, 16 & 23 from 1:30 4:00 Instructor: Carol Kinsley Description: Another great Kimberbell Pattern. It was so much fun to do! Making this quilt made our rainy weather ok the pattern has many projects other than the quilt, pillows, wall hangings, et cet. You ll learn some new techniques and some cool tricks. You don t need cameo they have regular cutting files, too.

The Atomic Starburst pattern combines several quilt making skills paper piecing, creating and cutting with templates and assembling your quilt quick and easy! You will learn tips and tricks to make this project come together with ease. You will learn how to avoid common mistakes! Class One will cover making the paper pieced starbursts. Class Two will cover assembling the quilt. Maritime Knit Top Fee: $27 Date/Time: Tues, Aug 14 from 5:30 8:30 And a second session is being offered on Thur, Sept 13 from 10:30 1:30 Instructor: Carol Irwin Description: This simple pull-on top is designed for knit fabrics with a little or a lot of stretch. View A features three-quarter-length sleeves while View B has short sleeves. Both styles include a bateau neck with topstitching detail and simple side vents, as well as a flattering fit. You ll love the look, feel, and versatility of this shirt, which is also an essential wardrobe basic. You will use your sewing machine and serger to complete this top. Summer Serger Fun Date/Time: Tues, Aug 28 from 10:30 1:00 Description: These double-sided napkins are the perfect companion to the Placemat duet. They re simple to make too! Just serger circles! The placemats are perfect for dining alfresco with pockets for cutlery and napkins you just created with your serger. Tumbling Triangles Date/Time: Thurs, Aug 30 from 10:30 1: -00 Instructor: Donna Morrell Description: If you want a fun and quick project, this is it! Using two fabrics and the Studio 180 V-Block tool, you will have fun creating this quilt in the size that is just right for your space. I am just finishing the 13x13 Oh My!

5 Rulerwork Quilting Fee: $36 Date/Time: Tues, Sept 4 from 10:30 2:30 Instructor: Jo Ann Jolley Description: Are you quilting with rulers yet? Whether you are new to ruler quilting or are already using this latest method of machine quilting, you ll want to take this class. We ll use Amanda Murphy s new Rulerwork Quilting Idea Book to learn various designs, how to mark your quilt, and ways to add free-motion quilting to your ruler work designs. If you ve been waiting now s the time to start! Summer Fun Sessions: Three Fee: $58 Date/Time: Fri, Aug, 17, Sept 7, 14 & 21 from 1:30 4:30 Instructor: Joan Lipiec Description: This is a mixed media project with a whimsical feeling. We ll start with Laura Heine s pattern and create a scrappy, low volume background, followed by simple quilting. We will add vases, flowers, leaves and grass, primarily using wool felt. Everyone will create a unique piece by selecting shapes from the pattern. The final step is to embellish using your choice of hand embroidery ribbon, rickrack, rat tail, beads, buttons, et cet. Pacific Splash Table Runner Fee: $48 Date/Time: Tues, Sept 11 & 18 from 10:30 1:30 Instructor: Kathleen Hmiel Description: If you like applique like I do, let s try reverse applique! You can create amazingly intricate designs with this unique applique technique! Class one is prep. Class two is sewing and applique. Cutwork Baby Quilt Date/Time: Sat, Sept 15 from 10:30 3:30 Instructor: Roxanne McElhaney Description: Let s utilize DesignWorks Software and the CutWork Tool by making this simple baby quilt or wall-hanging. We will create the motif in DesignWorks software, cut it with the CutWork Tool and then applique it with the embroidery module. We will even quilt it using the motif shape and the embroidery module. Some advance prep work is needed. Breakfast Break Fee: $30 Date/Time: Wed, Sept 19 from 9:30 1:30 Instructor: Chelle Meyers & Patti Rue Description: Join Chelle and Patti for a wonderful breakfast. Then we will clean the tables and start work on another fun project. You choose the size that is right for you (Table runner to king size quilt). Good times are guaranteed!

6 Quilting Angels Date/Time: Sun, July 15, Aug 19 & Sept 9 from 10:00 2:00 Description: Our Quilting Angels have been meeting here at Quilters Choice for almost 20 years. This amazing group of quilters make quilts and crochet blankets for children in our area which are distributed by very special Social Workers with the Children s Home Society. We d love for you to join our group and help cut, assemble, press, and quilt these precious little quilts. If you have fabric you are looking to donate we always appreciate child friendly prints in 100% cotton. Pillowcase Smiles Date/Time: Fri, July 27, Aug 24 & Sept 28 from 10:30 3:30 Description: Please join us once a month in the shop and have fun making pillowcases for children in local area hospitals. The hospital experience can be terrifying and traumatic for both a child and their family. While others strive to find a cure, we help with the stress and emotional impact of illness in the here and now. Our whimsical pillowcases give children an emotional boost, while resources and tools help families better understand and cope with their illness.
