2 Clothesline Bowl - $20.00 Thursday, January 26 6:00-8:00pm Doll Making Funky Friends Dachshund & Cat - $35.00 Join Gene and learn the ins and outs of making clothesline bowls. The bowls are made out of unwrapped clothesline and thread they are really fast to make and are great fun. The baskets can be made in a variety of sizes and shapes. Different design ideas will also be discussed during the class. Folded Star Potholder - $25.00 Sunday, April 30 12:30-4:30pm This is a fun class for beginner sewists. This class you will pick either the Folded Star Potholder or the Morning Star Potholder pattern. I will show both patterns in the class. You will finish at least one potholder in the class and I will provide lots of tips and helpful hints as I have made several! Sydney Bag - $60.00 Monday, February 6, 13 & 20 The perfect balance of form and function, this large everyday crossbody bag is ideal for daily use. It features multiple storage options, including two pleated cargo pockets, a large zippered pocket, a backslip pocket and a zippered pocket inside. A zip top opening keeps belongings secure and a wide crossbody strap ensures carrying comfort. *Must have bag making knowledge* Sunday, March 26 & April 2 12:30-4:30pm These are really fun and cute animals for toys or just because you like dogs or cats. The patterns have very well written instructions with lots of visuals too. The dachshund is a bit easier than the cat, but both offer a bit of a challenge - you will need persistence, lots of straight pins and patience. This would be a great gift for a child but plan on using safety eyes if given to very small children. Merry Kuspuk Moose - $35.00 Sunday, January 22 12:30-4:30pm We will make and dress this little moose in a kuspuk. Use your favorite colors and trims great gift for yourself or family and friends who will visit you this summer or a Christmas ornament for next Christmas. You ll have one moose done in this class! Repurposed Teddy Bear - $35.00 Monday, May 1 & 8 6:00-8:00pm In this class, students will learn to deconstruct a shirt, create template pieces from a pattern, and sew a small teddy bear. They may choose to use a shirt that holds some memories, such as from a grandfather or grandmother. Or practice first on a purchased used shirt. Page 2 of 6

3 Machine Quilting Camp Free Motion - $20/session Intro to Rulerwork - $55.00 Wednesday, April 12 & 19 Sunday, February 19 Sunday, March 19 Sunday, April 16 Sunday, May 21 Sunday, June 18 Looking to get better at free motion quilting and have the use of more than a couple of different free motion designs to use on your projects? Join Gene for this monthly class to expand your free motion quilting designs. Using Leah Day s book 365 Free Motion Quilting Designs as a jumping off point each month we will learn 4 different free motion stitch patterns. Free Motion Quilting Series - $65.00 Wednesday, March 15, 22 & 29 Want to learn to Free Motion Quilt? This series will get you comfortable with the basics of Free Motion Quilting and introduce you to a variety of FMQ designs and combinations! We will discuss in depth the supplies needed to FMQ, some tips and tricks for successful quilting, as well as why doodling can help your quilting! You ll leave with a great foundation to tackle those quilt tops that are just waiting to be turned into quilts! Join me for this fun class where we will use a specially designed ruler work panel from Amanda Murphy to explore all types of ruler work techniques. Straight lines, curves, circles, orange peels, etc. Come ready to have fun and learn. You will need to have the ruler work foot for your sewing machine. For Bernina that will be the NEW Foot #72, please inquire about the feet for other brand machines. Intro to Thread Painting Feathers - $30.00 Wednesday, February 8, 15 & 22 Thread Painting! It is easier than it appears. Please join Gene and learn how easy and fun thread painting is. In the class, we will be learning how to free motion thread paint feathers and turn it into a small wall hanging. Walking Foot Fun - $55.00 Wednesday, May 3 & 10 Love how straight line and match-stick quilting look? We will learn a little more about our walking foot while will try a variety of straight-line quilting techniques some involving curves you didn t think you could do with your walking foot! We ll also learn how to quilt letters in a fun, new way to make them stand out on your quilt! Crazy Quilt Block - $12.00 Sunday, January 15 Learn the technique for creating a Crazy Quilt Block. This is a wonderful base to use for your Slow Stitch Study or you can machine stitch decorative threads on the seams. Flannel Rag Quilt - $45.00 Saturday, March 4 10:30-2:30pm Everyone loves the soft, homey look of a rag quilt, but hand-cutting the fringe can be a pain (literally). The smart GO! Rag Square die pre-cuts the 3/4" long fringe edges with perfect 1/4" wide fringes. Simply sew the fringed rag squares together with a 1" seam allowance and you're done! Beautiful rag quilt gifts in no time! Sewing Beginning Sewing $80.00 (includes kit) Monday, February 6, 13, 20 & 27 6:00-8:30pm In this class, students will become comfortable with their own sewing machine by creating a sampler book of sewing techniques. Learn to sew zippers and buttonholes, create a pocket and play with decorative stitches and applique. This is a great beginner technique class. This class is designed for adults. Bra Making $ (includes kit & pattern) Friday, February 24 Saturday, February 25 6:00-8:00pm 10:30-4:30pm Tired of being poked, pinch and squeezed...by your bra! During the first class, we will do measuring, prepare the pattern and start cutting out the materials. The second day will be devoted to learning the materials and constructing your fitting bra. Class fee includes the pattern and bra supplies to sew one bra. Bra Making $85.00 (includes pattern) Saturday, March 25 10:30-4:30pm Join Maret in this uplifting experience and create a custom bra that will fit you perfectly! *Must have taken Bra 101 previously. 5 Kuspuk - $80.00 Monday, March 6, 20 & 27 6:00-8:30pm Software V8 is Great! Part 1 - $ materials fee We will be focusing on the snow shirt style kuspuk. Students need to have basic sewing machine experience. You will need to have your fabric washed, dried and ironed before class begins. You want to preshrink your fabric so that when you sew your kuspuk, it will be the true size that you want. We will help with sizing and alterations to the pattern such as rounding of the hood or adding and subtracting length. SnowSkirt/SnoMotion Skirt - $50.00 Friday, February 3 6:00-8:00pm Saturday, February 4 10:00-4:00pm Make your own Snow Skirt or SnoMotion skirt for this winter. This class will allow you to make the skirt in one weekend. Choose from the variety of colors of ripstop and trims to make this warm winter garment uniquely your own! Once you learn to make one for yourself, you can make others for family and friends. They will be asking!! T/R, January 31 February 23 Hey BERNINA Embroidery Software V8 owners this class will give you a strong foundation in the overall use of V8. We will cover the basics including but not limited to: Care and Feeding of the software, Opening designs, saving designs, lettering basics, using basic editing features, learning all about the different backgrounds in the software to aid in creating awesome embroidery designs. This class is a requirement to take any of the other parts. V8 is Great! Part 2 - $ materials fee T/R, March 7 March 30 This class is the next step for BES V8 owners. We will dive deeper into the software and learn some more of the advanced basics in the software. Including but not limited to advance lettering capabilities, creating your own decorative patterns, and much more! It is strongly suggested that this class also be taken before the rest of the classes because the material covered in this class is not covered in any of the others. Page 5 of 6

6 V8 is Great! Part 3 - $ materials fee Technique T/R, April 18 - May 4 Beginning Serging $ In this class, we will learn all about all the exciting auto digitizing capabilities in the software. V8 has add some really awesome auto tools to the software to include: color photostitch, Monogram wizard, magic wand centerline, magic wand without holes, magic wand block digitizing, and a greatly improved auto digitizing tool! V8 is Great! Part 4 - $ materials fee T/R, May 16 June 1 This class is just not for those users that want to learn about creating original designs. We will also cover how a user can digitize layout lines to make embroidering on readymade items easier. We will also go over how to use all the digitizing tools at a high level. V8 is Great! Part 5 - $ materials fee T/R, June 13 June 29 6:00-9:00 pm This is the class for those people that want to create their own original designs. We will spend a lot of time on building good digitizing habits to get the best quality designs. This class will help you take digitizing to the next level. Monday, May 15 & 22 In this class, students will become comfortable with their own serger. On week one, students will sign up for a one hour time period, where they will work one-on-one to learn to thread their serger and do a 4 thread overlock. On week two all students will come from 6-9 and we will practice 4 thread overlock, and learn the flat lock, narrow hem and rolled hem stitches. We will learn to use your serger to gather. By the end of the class students should feel comfortable enough to use and enjoy their serger! Slow Stitch Study - $12.00/session Sunday, January 22 Sunday, February 19 Sunday, March 19 Sunday, April 16 Sunday, May 21 Sunday, June 18 The class picture is just a sample of a finished project. It will be up to you if you want to use a crazy quilt block as your stitch base or a plain piece of cotton or wool. There is a Crazy Quilt Class scheduled on Sunday, January 15 from 1-3pm to learn how to sew a block. Each month Maret will introduce a "family of stitches". Some of the stitches will be embroidery, sashiko, silk ribbon, flower making and other special techniques. This is a hand stitch class. No machines allowed! Page 6 of 6
